Today everybody is going crazy over Game of Thrones but The Sopranos will forever be the greatest tv show of all time.
That's a good comment. The Sopranos is by far the greatest show of all time, nothing is really close. From Germany 👍
@@benprudente8687 The Wire? What a joke.
Minus the ending
nomadineternity1981 Are you sure? I’d say The Wire is #1 and Sopranos #2 but I still like GoT. Guess I’m stupid.
Maybe O'. The Wire is a tad better imo. But it is close.
When he gets Janice all fired up... then just walks out smiling as he's walking down the street. Classic. Best Show Ever.
That was maybe the most powerful scene in all the show. Left me speechless. How brutal.
That episode brought me here.. I thought that was such a badass moment. He walks out the house without a care in world.
I wonder what’s French Canadian for I grew up with out a mom, sacre bleu where is me mama 😂 😆 😝
Star Cade could watch over and over 😂
@@alexandermehary 100%. Great moment~
He wanted to know if Janice was being real about her anger goin away however shitty way to determine it because any person would have a right to feel pain anger at someone being hurtful to them to that extebt. Tony doesn’t like the happy go lucky’s despite always tryn to be one.
We fucking miss you James.
Facts bro 🙁
100%. Incredible. He was incredible.
Boun Anima
Indeed. After finishing watching the entire show (Out/2021), I realized how giant he was. Outstand performance by the cast, especially James G.
There'll never be another
I wonder where Harpo's eatin' his Sunday dinner...
In all seriousness why was Tony taunting Janice at that moment? I know Tony is a prick but why did he have a problem with Janice being happy for a split second.
Sacre bleu! Where is me mama?
Fav bang bang was Janice v Richie. She didn't lick it off the stones, as the Irish saying goes.
tdevil101 i think it was because it made T question his own happiness
On the pavement.... oh and its not harpo, it hal
The Sopranos is the greatest TV drama ever made about human conditions and relationships.. I do not think there will be another drama like The Sopranos.. RIP James Gandolfini
Mad men
I think Sopranos is 100 times better than Breaking Bad. Sopranos and Mad Men quality tv.
There are a few other good series out there, but Sopranos holds it down to this day. Even the italian series Gomorrha which is very brutal and tragic doesn't reach the Sopranos, it's just different. But i highly recommend it to everybody!
This👍🏻, and Fargo
@@judeforrester6641correct
This was a hell of a show, wasn't it.
+William H. Bonney surely the greatest show ever. I don't think there'll be another show like The Sopranos.
+William H. Bonney it was the Best show ever..
+William H. Bonney it is it was and it will be the only best
if someone asking me what show is the best for you, i always tell without a doubt its Sopranos
Nothing even comes close..
The sopranos is not ashow about mob or crimes etc ... it´s a show about Life and human relationships
RIP James
great actor of his days
I agree. This great drama is about human condition and its weaknesses and desires. It may be seen as a mobster adventure, but it is not.. And James Gandolfini was one of the great actors ever lived on earth. RIP
Actually its about one man's inability to change no matter what happens in his life.
the sopranos is the best show ever, i feel sorry for the people that havent seen it there missing out on so much
Haha yeah okay, but it's still a show about the American Italian mafia based on the deCavalcante crime family.
The Sopranos is kind of fascinating in that it is a mafia story but it somehow became more of a metaphor for every americans life. Dog eat dog, the death of morality, and the increasing belief that life is meaningless. Throw in the perfect music and from start to finish it was a masterpiece.
velveetaslingshot fucking A
velveetaslingshot everybody right now is going crazy for Game of Thrones but the sopranos will always be a pioneer of television. It's so thought provoking and makes you think about life.
Ever heard of Plautus? Man is a wolf to another man. More than 2000 yo that was in script of comedy act he wrote.
@@tdevil101 Game of thrones has 3 good seasons at best. Sopranos EVERY season was awesome. Same with breaking bad.
And it not only applies to the American people. The show is about humans in general, for the most part.
Any one else watch this video & feel like they knew Tony & James Gandolfini personally? I miss him!
+D to The Main EXACTLY what I've told to a friend of mine! After this show every other would be just crap... I miss Tony & James too btw.
I know the feeling, i always have tried to find a tv show that is so good as the sopranos, but i cant find. Not a single tv show that can hook me up as this one did.
Krug Stillo I'm the same, The Wire, Mad Men & Sons of Anarchy are the three best I've seen since The Sopranos ended but none come close.
+D to The Main the only one that kept me interested all the way through like the sopranos did for me would have to be breaking bad.
Nick McCarthy Breaking Bad is brilliant but at the same time its overrated by people, lots of similarities to The Sopranos though.
Whatever happened to James Gandolfini - the strong, silent type?
RIP Jimmy.
six feet under
we live our lives in insatiably' but inventively it will all end.
He did what he had to do.
See, what they didn't know was once they got Gary Cooper in touch with his feelings that they wouldn't be able to shut him up! And then it's dysfunction this, and dysfunction that, and dysfunction vaffancul!
Gary Cooper:-)
R I P James Gandolfini you weren't like everybody else!!! One of a kind!!! :(
This last June I took a week off work and watched Sopranos from start to finish. It was the greatest week ever. At the end, I felt a personal loss. Don't know what it meant.
What a fucking awesome reason to take a week off work btw, I'm re-watching the show just now for my fifth time and each time I watch it I realise how fucking good it is, nothing comes close.
+VanGogh34 i feel ya i felt lost too when i finished watching it
+VanGogh34 Watch it on loop. Non stop took me 5 goes to get what happened at end. Paulie Fucking Walnuts
hahaha psychic I say the exact same thing to new people I meet when I talk about the sopranos, I was in my early twenties, tired of predictable life and stacked up on food and watched the sopranos and ate and sleep nonstop, happiest most pleasurable time of my life haha
+Aaron Sedgwick Watched so much i have even picked up some of Paulies mannerisms. Go fuck yourself points with pinkey and index finger shakes MARONE!
If you never binged watched this show and seen the complete series multiple times you’ll never understand how good this show really is
Foreal. Just finished my first watch a year ago. Just been watching it on repeat since😂Nothing even comes close seriously think it ruined tv for me
And how funny it actually is 😂
8 times bro
I had to buy it on digital so i can rewatch it whenever i feel the need..best series ever!
Seen this well over 70 times over the years Rewatching Now the best show ever🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤😊
The best thing to ever happen in my life. Sopranos.
Better than drooling over lame cars with my small penis:)
this brought tears to my eyes, cant even begin to describe what a masterpiece the sopranos is
Words can’t touch on it
The Best 💯
Sopranos still kicks the shit out of any other TV show available. Can't wait for the blu-ray collection.
Obviously you haven't seen many TV Shows : though I agree it's one of the best, The Wire, Oz, Breaking Bad, Utopia, Penny Dreadful, and of course Twin Peaks reach easily its level...
a fucking men brother , best fucking acting and cast ever
byngo11 dude, yeah they have other good shows, but the sopranos for its time was amazing. sense he died in real life makes me appreciate it more, he was an amazing actor for the show.
byngo11 I watched them all, except for Utopia. But finished only OZ and Breaking Bad. The rest didn't manage to keep me interested. Sopranos is head and shoulders above them all.
We wouldn't have all these great modern TV shows today, arguably, were it not for The Sopranos back in the day.
I’m coming here 11 years later to say this is one of the best tribute edits out there. Old video quality aside, it just has this perfect blend of the melancholy and beauty in the show.
Great job making this video
I'm a year later still coming here 👍
Old is gold brother
Am still here :)
I think the happiest years of my life thus far were when this show was at it's peak..I was in college, heading out into the world and for some reason watching the Sopranos feels intertwined with that. Also I remember watching it with my cousin during family vacations. It's a little hard for me to watch it again because it makes me so nostalgic.
Very nostalgic for me too.
I get that way with 90s music videos. I don't want to waste that new remembrance of nostalgia of hearing or seeing old music videos.
Condused this is beautiful.
HOW IS THE WORLD TREATING YOU?
Same here brother. Best years of my life when this show was on, me my girl would go to my parents for Sunday dinner then we would all sit and wait for this to come on usually with more inticipation then the super bowl
This has become the unoffical theme song for The Sopranos...
2024
Anyone?
nothing had ever so much depth as The Sopranos, television nor cinema.
God save the Kinks.
Better than the Beatles
Had some great times at Kinks shows. Met them - briefly - after a show in Boston. I'm 70 now, was young then. Good times.
Kinks are up there with The Beatles. Ridiculously underrated band.
Eric K Agreed
Wouldn't go that far but
tdevil101 Wouldn't have said that not too long ago. But the more I listen to The Kinks, the closer they get to The Beatles. They certainly lacked The Beatles stage presence and personality. But musically they are close.
+tdevil101 Prior to 1967 I'd say they were AHEAD of the Beatles, at least in song writing
beatles were ok but fucking boring as hell on stage...just stood there and bobbed ther heads to love me do. they pale in comparison to mick and the stones. sopranos and breaking bad were awesome programs
I love the way you edited this to have the screen footage increase in speed & intensity as the song climaxes. Good job.
He never had the makings of a varsity athlete though
small hands, they said
This song epitomizes this show
One of the best rock songs by one of the best rock guitarists! Long live Dave Davies from the Kinks. The Kinks are just unbelievable. Hard to find words to describe this band.
So true. 👏🏻
That's Ray on vocals. You might be confusing it with the great "Strangers" that Dave wrote and sang.
There is a racous live version similar to this that Dave sang and played:
I'm Not Like Everybody Else - Live @ Bottom Line, '97
It's on UA-cam and Spotify
@@timothycameron4842
Yeah, this one is Ray singing. Dave's version on "Live at the Bottom Line" is pure all Dave. Love The Kinks.@@timothycameron4842
That version of that Song is so awesome
I can’t find this version anywhere??? Do you know? Besides here.

This version was from their live album called to the bone. Came out in late 90's. I don't thing this version is present on music streaming sites such as Spotify. It's only there on youtube and other than that one can purchase that album for it.
Wonder where Harpo’s eating his Sunday dinner
lol
Dave Davies guitar work is simply brilliant. It is hard to believe this song was a 60's song as sounds like a very modern rock song. When I first heard this on The Sopranos I thought it was a cover as too heavy and modern to be The Kinks but I was wrong and Ray Davies does a great job with the vocal.
Kkkjjjjjjjjjj
It's a live version they played in the 1990s. Dave Davies still has this version as a staple of his show. You should see him while he's still around.
It's a perfect example of a song whose live version is in a whole different league than the original recording. In this case, by degrees of excellence.
Greg Vernon Definitely
Kinks “Girl you really got me now” invented/ has the first punk thrash guitar riff ever- classic superb shredder!!!
I have no memory of crying in my life - I'm not even exaggerating or lying. I've had deaths in the family, pet deaths, breakups, everything. But I'll be honest. This made my eyes feel watery. Such a great show, such connectable characters, art at its very best.
Maybe I'll fight you and see what happens
Maybe you blackout when you cry
"Three o'clock."
Truly the greatest show- thanks for the video. RIP James Gandolfini.
The clear message is like Tony said. “Everything turns to shit” it’s such a brilliant masterpiece we are still loving and talking about it 20 years later..
Youre dragging me to hell
He may not have the makings of a varsity athlete, but he surely was not like everybody else.
Best series of all time! Still so sad and hard to believe James is gone....Tony Soprano will live forever though!
Definitely not like anybody else!! Miss you so much James Gandolfini!!
👍🏻👍🏻💪🏻😎
Best Tv series ever!Rip "T",respect from Turkey.
Sopranos and Breaking bad cant be compared cause Sopranos is simply in another catogery(above). There is the Sopranos and there are the other shows.
True words. Love breaking bad but... Sopranos are Sopranos. Untouchable.
"Sopranos and Breaking bad cant be compared ... Sopranos is simply above"
How do you decide whether is better if you can't compare them?
A David Why do you need to put one above the other? Both are classics. Sopranos is about how you can't change who you really are (from a very early age); BB is about the study of change. There's no better series opener than Breaking Bad and no better series ending than Sopranos (though you have to really think about it to appreciate it). I'm not even going to start on the greatness of The Wire.
***** First of all, *SPOILERS* At first I thought that it was deliberately ambiguous, but I've come to be convinced (by some people who have spent a LOT of time thinking and writing about this) that he is dead, and that's what Chase intended. We're watching from his POV. As the door dings he looks up in anticipation of seeing Meadow, but the screen goes black because he's just been shot in the head and his POV no longer exists (poor old Meadow would have walked into a horrorshow.) Why spend so much time on Meadow parking? Because if she had been on time, she would have blocked the assassin's shot, and the hit might have been thwarted. For a show bound up in Tony's psychology, it makes sense that there is nothing, blackness, if Tony's consciousness has ended (and there is no afterlife).
Breaking bad is way overrated
This song is tony soprano. Makes me cry
100%
Seen this show a dozen times and im watching all the seasons again now.
every year!
This Video gave me feels. Such a great series.
This song was my war cry on the lower west side of Buffalo, NY when I was 16 years old.
This show is the Michael Jordan of television series
there were so many great tunes on this show, but this is really the one that kinda reflects Tony Soprano for me. also makes sad now when James Gandolfini has died. he has this amazing aura about him that makes you love him even though his character was cruel and bad human and he himself in real life was not from the niciest persons. but its impossible not to feel for him when he's down. whether its this bad Tony Soprano or James.
Where can i find this version of the song?
He never had the making of a varsity athlete
How the fuck could you dislike a video like this you have an amazing tune with the best programme ever made
And they go along really well
Just leave thıs comments on this masterpiece so someone likes it ı wıll come again and listen
10 Years since the greatest of all time has passed away ... Rest in peace James, you will never be forgotten ❤️
I just finished the Sopranos series for the second time . What a Show!
Tony Soprano/ James Gandolfini " I am in awe of you"
Anyone knows if this version of "I'm not like anybody else" can be found on deezer?
Nothing comes close to the sopranos!
Still the greatest show ever made. The actors, characters, the music, the quotes. Wow!
It felt like you were one of the guys and at any time Paulie would come and pick you up for dinner at Vesuvio or why not on a heist. Miss this show so much. Thank you for this video
best tv show ever!

If anyone is looking for this version of the song it's on the kinks live album called To The Bone.
this was badass. whoever made it. 💕
Yeah ! A beautyful show ... just like you !
@@heinzelias thank you. Much appreciated
Actually this montage was robbed from someone who put “wrapped in my memory” by Shaun smith over it.
greatest show of all time period
i Wish there was a Series Good today like the Sopranos.
RIP James Gandolfini
Yellowstone is really close. It's like the Sopranos on a ranch.
They always had great music! Perfect song for Tony
This video is a Masterpiece
Awesome job....you did a great job of capturing the diversity and complexity of Tony Soprano's character. The age of this song cuts across many the generations of Sopranos viewers and when looking at Ray Davies' biography, it's a very appropriate choice.
What's normal for one is madness for another. Being normal to one person is being crazy to another person.
Profound.
amazing song to a brilliantly edited video. not sure why, but classic english rock fits the sopranos so well!
Great tribute to a great actor and an amazing show. RIP James, you won't be forgotten.
I will be watching Soprano reruns forever.
20 years since this masterpiece first aired ! Rest In Peace to all the actors who couldn’t see the show make it to 20 years .
My girlfriend put on a few kilos, and she asked me the other day if she should lose some weight...I told her, what she needs is her own zip code.
My goodness I miss this. Mr Gandalfini, I think you played a great role.
Watching Sopranos for my third time rn and just finished the episode w this song, s5e10
I've been watching this during the night while feeding my 3rd child. I've watched 5 and a 1/2 seasons in a month. Im going to be literally heartbroken when this finishes for me. Breaking Bad has nothing on this.
GREATEST SHOW EVER.... love this song...I made my husband learn it on guitar...years ago...coz I'm NOT LIKE ANYBODY ELSE

Best show ever.
I'm 37 now but I still remember hearing so many good older songs for the first time while watching the sopranos in the late 90's as a kid. Good times.... I miss the 90's and early 2000's. Best times of my life.. I miss it.

I really love all the fast cuts towards the ending. In fact the editing in general, along with the synching of the song, was really well done. Good work!
The show displayed Italians in general, their side language, like this thing or our friend all part of many Italian peoples lives Who don't have an "OH" in a holiday gathering and this in my opinion as an Italian with an uncle Tony and cousin Carmine, is what made this so relatable to so many.
Breaking bad, game of throne , stranger things, squid game… are real piece of shit compare to this. This is the best show on earth
Has to be considered as one of the greatest performances ever by James Gandolfini.
Hard to believe that James Gandolfini is gone.....
We live, We die (*Life goes on)...
The Sopranos is still BY FAR the best TV series ever.
3.19-3.22 when he goes through the door and into the light is fucking epic...
Very disturbing moment in the episode.
RIP SHINE BOX MAN
2021 The Sopranos is the best show ever ❤️
You don't have to love me, but you WILL respect me...
Aaaaah... the times when all you needed for a good show was solid actors and nice lines. No dragons, no rationalizing, no unnecessary episodes to fill up space, and no showy two-year waits for piece-of-shit endings 🤣
This song with all those scenes represents how The Sopranos beautiful is, just simple, the best TV show ever
Simply said the sopranos was the greatest show of all times past present and future, never going to be beaten it had some of the greatest actors of all time, I still wish it had carried on for another season or maybe 2 but sadly life was cut short for our dear brother James Gandofini we stand and respect you.And the other outstanding actors such as Edie Falco, Michael Imperioli, Tony Sirico, Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Robert Iler.
Zizou444 what do you think of Game of Thrones??
Tony Soprano truly was an OG. When had there ever been a show from the perspective of a villain before? Without the Sopranos shows like Breaking Bad, Deadwood, the Wire, Dexter would never have been made.
No more heros anymore. We want our protagonists flawed. And dirty.
