- The School of Music, Theatre & Dance acknowledges the tragic event that occurred on the
Michigan State University campus on Monday, February 13. We grieve with you, and send our warmest energy and love to all affected.
At the opening of the Psalms, Hymns, and Spirituals concert in Hill Auditorium on Thursday, February 16, the combined choirs of The University of Michigan (Eugene Rogers and Mark Stover, conductors), the University of Michigan Women's Glee Club (Julie Skadsem, conductor), Pioneer High School (Steve Lorenz, conductor), Wayne State University (Brandon Waddles, conductor), Oakland University (Michael Mitchell, conductor), and The Madrigal Chorale (Brandon Ulrich, conductor), paid tribute to the students, faculty, and staff of Michigan State University with a joint performance of “MSU Shadows,” the Michigan State alma mater.
Didn't realize you all did this until now, as a Spartan, just wanted to say thankyou all, and Go Blue. Much appreciated for this kind gesture.

As I'm an MSU alumni, this heart felt and beautiful rendition of the MSU school song is much appreciated. May those of us who want gun safety in America now work together to find and implement common sense solutions to gun violence.
