One of the tragedies of this whole thing is that we are seeing so many bright, intelligent, young people leading in Ukraine who have so much to offer to the country and to us all in the world being taken down by the old brigade in Moscow, tired old men still stuck in the past with delusional ideas of recreating some new glorious Russian empire.

@@klausschumacher7126 definitely not, it was USSR, nobody was innocent, in the case of Hungary, it was occupied by Soviet troops from Ukraine and Belarus. For example Germany in 1945 by troops from Russia and Caukasus. That was the distribution. For example most of Stalin's war stuff in 1941 were not Russian, he didn't trust them due to resistance, royalism ...etc, Russian commanders got included after with Zhukov. Most of gulag prisoners were Russians, all anticommunist writers in exile were Russians, others emerged only when USSR collapsed. War in Ukraine can be resolved only by Russians internally IMHO.

I was at Lviv the last 5 days. Me and my Ukrainian girlfriend were on our way to the city most "famous" cemetery, I did not quite understand why the fame and how a cemetery could be a museum with entrance fees and private tour guides. I accepted that 5 days in this city, sat through one air raid warning, respecting late night curfews, dined in at secretly kept Ukrainian restaurants, and knowing her for several months at this point, I just allow room for Ukrainian humors. However, on our way there, we were surprised to pass by a funeral ceremony for Ukrainian soldiers being held right next to the cemetery. Totally not in our day plans but we made time and walked into the funeral anyway, presented our respects to those who fought and died defending their homeland, respect to the newest ones in the process of being buried and to the grieving families. I was particularly hurt by those who died at age 20 in the years 2023 or 2022. It's even more haunting to see those currently being buried must be from within the last few weeks. I held my tears through and through. This war needs to end, Ukraine needs victory. I extend my purest feelings to Ukraine as a distant Canadian. GLOIRE À L'UKRAINE.
Sadly but Russia is winning this war and what Ukranian authorities are doing is just genocide of Ukrainian population, yes it's Ukraine is killing their people because no more aids from the West because of the failed counteroffensive and instead of go for peace agreements with Russia the Ukranian government keep doing as I said earlier the genocide of their people.
