That's Entertainment in St. Catharines closing after 33 years

That's Entertainment in St. Catharines is closing its doors after more than three decades in business.
The general manager, Greg Switzer started working at the video store when he was in high school and has seen several different video formats come through the doors. "We started out with beta and VHS and we skipped over laserdisc because we didn't think it was going to fly and it didn't," Switzer said.
That's Entertainment opened in September 1989 and will be closing its doors at the end of June.
Customers say they are going to miss being able to visit the store and rent their favorite movie or new release.
The store lasted longer than rental giants like Blockbuster and Rogers Video and even survived the streaming platforms but it couldn't overcome being shut down during the pandemic.
"We were doing fine up until then, but the break in the lockdown and everyone that didn't know how to stream had to learn how to stream," Switzer said.
There are roughly 50,000 movies, games, and CDs that need to be sold before the store closes in June.

This news is sad for me, I have been living in st Catherine almost 5 years ago and I just know about this store, I love collected old movies like vhs and old video games, And I would have like spent some time in this store, any other stores similar in Niagara Region? 📺🙏🏻📼❤️

The general manager Greg or whatever. Always made a point to make me seem like a bad person to his co workers because I mentioned to someone staring at me that it was awkward. I guess I shouldve just completely bent over.
