If I understood you correctly you are able to deposit money into Melon Bank and it is automatically moved to your dollar account at BDO. From what I've known about before, that is really a new way of getting money to the Philippines. Is there a cost and how does the process work? I suspect there are many that have no idea about this. Most of those I know of use Wise or similar groups that charge a fee plus cut the exchange rate. You might consider doing a Vlog on this.
BDO if you maintain a balance of 50,000 pesos you can request the Diamond Rewards card. Show this to the security guard and you go to the front of the line. Just tell teller who greets you that you have the card and the transaction you want to do. She should tell you counter to sit at. You’ll be in and out in 10 minutes.

The huge problem is that most storesand malls dont open until 10AM. The BEST dialect to learn is Tagalog, it will get you by on every island.

I only last 15 months in Philippines, good and bad but I was always hot and sticky, took like 3 showers a day. It just wasnt for me, I tried though.

Make sure keep you money abroad. Use schwab to get money from any Philippines atm. and by the end of the month schwab return your money back.

I have just learned that a few days ago. As I become more regular I’ve noticed they move me thru pretty quick.
