    I tried it a few weeks ago and added some food coloring and it tastes amazing !! I'm gonna do it today as well

    If your buttercream is too liquidy try adding some more icing sugar. You could also use slightly less white chocolate next time. Hope this helps!

    It might be that your white chocolate was slightly burnt or that your butter was too hard. Make sure the white chocolate is still runny when you mix it in and that your butter is softened. Hope this helps

    It's crazy how much recipes vary from one person to another.
    The previous recipe I saw was 300g white choc, 250g butter, 500g sugar. I used that as a finat coat on a cake, which I found set quite nicely.
    Yours would be 300g choc, 420g butter, 210g sugar. I imagine yours is much softer, so easier to pipe.

    5OZ Butter, I used 1 1/2 Cups Icing Sugar, 4OZ white Chocolate! Came out Perfect!!!!!
    LOVE! My now FAVORITE buttercream!

    Does the white chocolate make the buttercream frosting harden faster? How long can u leave it out before it gets hard to were u cant use anymore?

    This looks great :D may i ask how long would you be able to keep the white chocolate buttercream on a cake like in between layers?? if kept in room temperature and in an airtight container would it be able to stay fresh for how many days?

    You can use both but a good quality white chocolate will make the buttercream taste extra good!

    Hi, just wondering, I want to make the frosting palm sugar/caramel flavoured. Do i do it the same way, as in I have to cool down the melted palm sugar first and put in the mixing bowl? Or do I fold the caramel in after the frosting is ready? thanks

    a very nice an easy recipe. I will definitely try it. jus one question can I use this icing with Russian piping tips?? Is this butter cream stable enough for Russian piping tips. I tried these tips with Swiss meringue butter cream frosting but now I wanna try something with less butter n no eggs..please help..thanks

    looks so tasty and the buttercream looks so creamy and smooth, it can be too sweet because of the white chocolate that's really sweet so watch the sugar

    Yes that should be absolutely fine to do that. Just add a few drops to begin with and then build up the colour!

    Absolutely. Just swap the same quantity you would have used of white chocolate for milk or dark chocolate. Let us know how you get on making up the buttercream!

    It will help the butter and icing sugar to mix if the butter is at room temperature. The softer the better!

    Hi, I am planning to make a double layered cake with the buttercream frosting recipe and I am planning to do two coat's (crumb then outer) will it cover in one batch or should I make a double?

    The buttercream should last for up to 2 weeks if you place it in an airtight container in the fridge. Ours normally gets eating a long time before that though ;)
