My parents moved to the High Point area in the late 70s when I was a child. Downtown has always been a ghost town except during market. That was always the main complaint about High Point from a lot of us. Now it's all HPU this and HPU that...but the baseball stadium is nice though.
Market is kind of like the fun and pretty circus is coming to town. High Point is also sort of been taken over by HP University........I haven't been to the stadium yet - I know that's crazy! But I'm looking forward to it! Thanks for sharing!
This would be why the video is mislabeled 'FULL TOUR.' Only a few streets highlighted, albeit ghost streets. True to form, a realestate agent will hawk what little that can be shown. I'm looking to maybe move to NC, but, as she stated elsewhere, it's not for everyone. For sure.
I’m a Paperhanger , painter, faux finisher and taper. From The Hancock bld to the Cosmopolitan and every high end home to mom and pop.. I want to move to Clemmons
What a fabulous and fun job! I love wallpaper, but I have children and can't commit until they move out of my house. ha. Clemmons is a great suburb of Winston-Salem! I'm here to answer any questions that you have
I'm from London but I lived in high point for 2 years for work, some good places to eat...I remember Oak hollow mall and there was another kinda close, stay safe people ❤ 🙏
Oh I'm so glad to hear this! Oak Hollow mall isn't there anymore - not as a mall anyways. So many good spots to eat - my favorite is the Dog House and Blue Zucchini!
@@LivingInGreensboroNC I absolutely loved it there the people were so friendly and some of the scenery is unreal...being from South London i don't see much other than concrete Tower blocks lol I remember going to steak Street alot and the olive garden...if I knew someone there I'd definitely go back
@@WAKE-UP-BRITAIN Everyone is so nice! My husband is from Warcks area originally. He's been here for 21 years. Concrete tower blocks- yes I could see it. We were in London this past summer! Both are great places 🙂
My mom was born and raised there until the age of 14. We both live in Columbus Ohio. I haven't been there since I was a preteen so I don't really remember the town. I'm 50 years old now and I'd like to go there just to visit and check it out. Not sure what we'd actually do there though LOL. I think my mom may have one cousin that still lives there.
Great video ! I'm from Ohio and have a goal to move to North Carolina soon to get a new start on life! Heard about the city of High Point and definitely looking into making that the city I move to. Always heard good things about the people, area, and opportunities!
I need somewhere slower and calmer to live. My environment is hectic and I'm healing from trauma and my goal is to relocate to a calm and positive environment

Hello Meredith! Just would like to say “Thank You!!” For Your videos here! I really interesting move from Nebraska to Greensboro. And after Your Chanel, just I sure now - I visit this wonderful city ASAP. Thanks again. And subscribe!
Lovely video! I’m looking at attending high point university and wanted to see what the city was like, I’m glad it’s up and coming it will give me something good to do 😊
Who goes to malls anymore? There are lots of stores in HP just not in that part of downtown. Also, the brick building by the ballfield (that was not mentioned) is a new, wonderful Food Hall, full of great food, people and beverages!
You’re are so right-it’s only younger people that go to malls. Thanks for highlighting the Food Hall. I’ll do a video on that. I was too busy checking out the boutique store just right there. Things are popping in HP!
I am wanting to move to NC next year but have a price point and size of town I'm looking for I can't seem to find a medium to smaller town with my price point. This town has 2 apts in my range but it is to large a city for me. I also want low crime.
Downtown high point can be very slow when it's not market. The majority of it is showrooms for the furniture market. It's bumping right now with everyone coming in for the furniture market.
Am from Pakistan 🇵🇰 . I was working in call center in Pakistan and if someone say where r you from . Then I say am from nc high point I don’t know why but I just want to see high point 😂
Ohhh tell me more! I know there are a bare and the parks and the rockers. What else do you like to do there? I think High Point lacks with shopping-cute boutique shops though.
I’m a designer and it’s one of my dreams to have a home at high point 🎉 can’t wait to visit soon ! North Carolina seems so charming ❤
You will love it-- especially at market time with all the pretty new lines 😍. It's super charming here for sure!

THe entire Triad is great -- each town/city are different, but everyone is super nice. It's a slower and more calm place to live!

I was hoping to take the train from Charlotte and eat/shop at local shops. Sad they aren't downtown😢

the most poorly planned seems like govt doesn't spend any money.... even no sidewalks on the roads. Burlington city near by was much better
It is unfortunate that there aren't sidewalks everywhere. Especially because of safety reasons. Burlington is a beautiful city!
High.Point has Alot of things to do besides Greensboro and Winston Salem NC embarrassing

Don't move to High Point. Have to buy power from the city. Dirty city.
I haven't worked with power company. Sorry you had a bag experience.
