    I tried them in my goalie skates and they just did not help me. I found they put my heal too high in my skate causing my ankles to be less stable in the boot. I ended up returning them.

    I have worn superfeet in my skates for a few years now, and I love them. When the salesman at my skate shop was selling them on me, I thought it was such a gimmick/dumb idea, but I didn't say no (I think they came with a guarantee at the time???). I'm actually glad I didn't. I have a lot of arch problems, and these have really helped with that. I think it's time for me to replace mine though, as discomfort in my arch is starting to set in again. I'm going to buy another pair today, and hopefully that will fix things. I bought these when I bought my Reebok R9k skates, so that should tell you how old this pair is, since those skates aren't manufactured anymore. Must be 10 years old by now.. although I didn't really start to get back into organized hockey until about 4 or 5 years ago. Either way, I got a lot of life out of one pair.
    I could be wrong, but I think mine are also the "comfort" style not the carbon pro ones.

      Yours were the Superfeet Yellow. Since I did this video Superfeet released a pair actually called "comfort" now. I'd grab the Pro Carbon ones if you are looking for a similar feeling as the ones you had!

    Hi Matt, How would they compare to the bauer soles?

    • @HockeyReviews
      @HockeyReviews  5 років тому +1

      From Bauer's marketing they are trying to do different things. Some people like Bauer's and some like Superfeet. I haven't had a chance to try a pair of Bauers so I can't comment on how they really work unfortunately.

      Bauer speed plate are interesting to me since they are heat moldable. If you have a custom skate and normal sizing I would recommend them over superfeet. My experience is that custom skates are too tight for anything other than a standard footbed. Having that extra custom moldable insole should just improve the fit more.
      Otherwise, like Matt said. Personal preference.

    When heat molding skates does the does it help the insoles mold too? I ask cause I haven’t shaped my skates yet so wasn’t sure if I should wait for these to come in first or I can just throw them in after heat molding my skates?

    • @HockeyReviews
      @HockeyReviews  Рік тому

      It depends on the insole. 99% of the time, you take the insoles out when you put the skates in the oven. Only insoles you would heat up with the skates were the Bauer Speedplates.

    What do you recommend for "used" skates?

    • @HockeyReviews
      @HockeyReviews  Рік тому

      I don't really have a blanket recommendation for insoles as it is completely dependent on the skate fit and the individual person's foot.
      Superfeet are solid and have a really good return policy so I recommend people try them out if they are having foot pain.

    are they good for running?

    • @HockeyReviews
      @HockeyReviews  3 роки тому +1

      These are specifically made for hockey skates. They are not made to go into shoes.

    My left foot over pronates would this help ?

    • @HockeyReviews
      @HockeyReviews  4 роки тому

      It is supposed to, but it depends on how much you pronate as these only do so much. They have a 60 full refund policy if they don't help though.

    Are this only for hockey skates? Can I use this for my marathon it speed inline skates?

    • @HockeyReviews
      @HockeyReviews  4 роки тому

      They are for hockey skates, I don't think there would be an issue using them for speed inline though.

    • @renarsgoldmanis56

      You can try them for speed inline skates too. But better before buy,you visit same bootfitter or even better podiatrist who detect your feets status.

    Have you tried using two in each skate to double the benefits?

    • @HockeyReviews
      @HockeyReviews  5 років тому

      No, that's a good idea? Are you sure it would double the benefit or would it be an exponential increase?

    have you used them in net?

    • @HockeyReviews
      @HockeyReviews  5 років тому

      I have not, I use the stock insoles from True and used these with my retail skates.

  • @KB9813

    Make them wider than EE and I'll be cool 🤣.

    • @HockeyReviews
      @HockeyReviews  5 років тому

      They make them in G, which fits about a size 13 skate. Would possibly be wide enough.

    What do you think about the non carbon ones?

    • @HockeyReviews
      @HockeyReviews  Рік тому

      I don't really see a point in them as they don't really give any foot support.

      @@HockeyReviews well that sucks. I just copped a pair

    • @HockeyReviews
      @HockeyReviews  Рік тому

      Well, if you like them they keep them? They were basically made for people that don't like the feeling of the Carbons and for people who didn't need the "full" support. But I wouldn't ever tell someone to look at them if the Carbons didn't work for them as chances are the stock foot beds would be fine.

    is this good for runners too?

    • @HockeyReviews
      @HockeyReviews  Рік тому

      Not this specific version. They have non-hockey Carbon insoles that are design for performance footwear but I have never tried them
