I liked this episode. They gave Aelita the time to try to find her mother while the others deal with XANA and his nasty spectres. I do think it was kind of nice that XANA was focused more on the others and left Aelita alone too. And the spectre on Lyoko made me think back all the way to the Garage Kids pilot when there were just only spectres on Xanadu.

Pretty good episode, but there is one significant goof: Aelita's profile used her real last name, Schaeffer. Considering how close she's come to having her forged identity papers discovered and how dangerous it would be for the government or Tyron to learn she's the daughter of Waldo Schaeffer/Franz Hopper, that's kind of a bad blunder on the writers' part.

Clues: In the photo of Aelita as a kid with her mom, both are blond. In the present, the mom it's still blond, but Aelita's not. In one episode Sissi disguises as Aelita wearing a pink wig that Aelita had on her room. The obvious unnatural look of Aelita's hair during all the season is on purpose. I guess this is how the scriptwriters decided to explain why Aelita has pink hair on this live-action.
Interesting that the specter relied on a tower to function after going to Lyoko. The only other instance I remember a specter going to Lyoko was episode 51 where it's tower was released after it virtualized, but I guess that some noteworthy considerations would be that XANA no longer operates on the supercomputer nor does it seem to have the power to send as capable specters- just looking at how a lot of Evolution's specters are primitive, learning and interpreting simpler things on the fly whereas they'd be an incredible threat from the get-go in the original.
I think the reason for the spectre in 51 having a form and deactivating the tower might also be because he looked like a character who had an avatar, while this spectre was just some random businessman. Also it didn't seem to virtualize properly so it mightve relied more on the tower. Idk! But you make some good points about XANA not being connected to the supercomputer like he was in 51.

I'm assuming that Jeremy didn't give Odd and Ulrich their vehicles because doing so would tip off XANA that they were already on Lyoko suspiciously waiting for a tower to activate. One problem: can XANA really not hear Jeremy talking on the comm link? For that matter, can he not see the Lyoko Warriors if they're not in his monsters' line of vision? An AI living in a virtual 3D environment should not have his vision limited by light physics.

Easily my favorite episode of the season so far. Truly the most tense episode with the highest stakes yet. Not a huge fan of Evolution honestly, but I think this goes down in my book as a classic.

I been code lyoko fan for as long as I remember I watched it send it came out as just cartoon and knew about Evolution a few years later I waited for the dub since 2015 and as I understand there is no official dub but only Episode 5 as I understand. I’m trying contact to contact the company who own code lyoko Evolution to offer Financial support to get official dub going and uploaded in UA-cam. I’m not trying to make money out of it or anything I’m just simply a huge fan we believe not only me would like a dub to have for Evolution I believe I got what it takes and more to make it happen. Of course I do have other reasons for me to want official dub to be out but none of my reasons is to make money out of it or be famous or anything.
