I've owned a number of cats but Bogart (my Siamese) will always be my favorite. I rescued him as a kitten hiding behind some bushes while some boys from my then neighborhood tormented him & he was my buddy. You'd better believe those boys got a piece of my mind!
Perhaps using a blow dryer on the warm heat setting for around 30 seconds on the Toilet Water Perfume bottle's stopper area might loosen the stopper...dried perfume or sediment might melt away & even the internal air pressure might change temperature just enough to loosen the stopper. I would try this if I owned it & if damage resulted, I could live with it, but offering aggressive suggestions to other people always bothers me a little bit. Soaking the entire bottle in warm water could also loosen the stopper as well as holding it underneath the faucet running warm water...protecting the emblem label would be a concern in doing the water tricks & even the blow dryer option. Another option is placing the bottle in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes & checking the stopper...if it's still stuck then try another 30 minutes. I've removed corks (that I wanted to keep & not destroy using a corkscrew) from glass bottles/jugs by putting them in the refrigerator, sometimes for a good few hours. ...Your area has the best most plentiful thrifting locations...lucky you!
Wow, that Hoosier jar is such a great find. I wish our Goodwill's had a tenth of all the nice old things you find in yours. Beautiful console bowl, too!
Scott, go back and buy the Alamo glasses. As a Bostonian transplanted to Texas, I can tell you that Alamo centennial souvenirs are prized. Not as much as a Paul Revere teapot, maybe, but they will sell very well.
Thrift stores suck here now in Ontario Canada 🇨🇦. They have anoying Auction booths in the front window's. No deals . Sadly yet I managed to find a set in mint condition of Winne and smiley cookie jars from the 1940s for 7.99. Lol. I covet them and an Loving ❤️ them.
aww!! I love the Siamese cats!! so sweet. how rare. touches my heart as I love and had Siamese cats. those are seal point! like mine were. you can teach them not to do that. one I had in my late 20s and 30s muffled his voice. what a wonderful character. Kiki lived almost 18 yrs. you always find wonderful items to resell or cherish. love it. always a Joy to see. gosh it's really raining. thanks for showing
Well that was fun. I visited my stepmom in Florida last wk. went thrifting. Found 4 perfect dessert plates and 3 green glasses like you. Unfortunately I was so excited I forgot to check the rims. One was perfect one had a slight flea bite chip and the other had 3 good chips around the edge. But I UA-camd how to soften them and it wrkd like a charm. What a relief. I’ll make sure that’s the one I use when using. Nice haul Scott. You do live in the ideal area for nice treasures
Whoa! 45 degrees? Brrrrr city! 🥶Now what exactly is rain? We are in a drought, so haven't seen rain in a while. Still in the mid-90's here. That console bowl took my breath away. What a find! 🤩
Love the toaster. The bell is a great idea. Can hear the rain on your car roof..nice.Let the rain pitter patter but it really doesn't matter if the clouds are grey, long as I can be with you its a lovely day...one of my favourite songs.
The perfume bottle is sweet. Don't try to remove the stopper....the can break if forced. It's best to leave it as is. The clear stopper on the pink cruet is probably original. Nice video!
"Nudeln, Gewürz, 👉Graupen": I remember Grandma's Graupen-Suppe: Made from beef-broth❗😆🤤 What do you call "Gerste/Graupen": Barley❓ (It's a kind of grain🌾)
Thank you for singing the praises of my beloved Johnson Brothers 🙌🏻 Ive never seen a piece I didn’t love. I have Friendly Village. I would have taken the masquerade poodle with its missing tail 😊 Thank you for taking us out Scott! We can’t thank you enough ♥️🐩🥹
Almost time to start lining up the wood for the fireplace! Beautiful features on the elephant. The Three flowers, what I could make out, rose, maybe lily, the last didn't catch. Richard Hudnut, famous perfumes, other feminine beauty products. Don't break the stopper! Be safe out there.
So interesting what Goodwill's in different parts of the US have in their stores. So wish I could find some interesting things at my Goodwill in Newberg, Oregon. Please Stay Safe, Happy And Healthy. Have A Wonderful Day
Great to learn more about the Hoosier! I have a cream and jadite-sort-of-green one in the basement I was thinking of selling, but you reignited my love for it I do believe. Up to the first floor for him. (and off-topic entirely…that jacket, hat and shirt combo -👍) Thanks for such fun videos.
So many wonderful vintage items at your thrift stores! Here in the thrift stores it is all old plastic and junk. Love watching your finds. Please be careful on public transport in this crazy world we live in. Subway yo me spells no. Glad I live in a small town in Michigan although the historical value in your city is phenomenal.
I like when you find pieces for the Hoosier cabinet. I have an off brand cabinet in my kitchen and I love it . I keep all my baking and canning equipment in it. Thank s Scot
You were getting leftover Hurricane rain. Best time to plant grass is during a FL Hurricane because the rain moves north and sits a few days afterward.
Hey Scott, very nice finds. It could really be that in the bottle is the perfume, I remember loooooong time ago when my sister was young she got as a present a perfume bottle, empty one, she bought perfume and filled it up with, few years went by and he bottle remained untouched , and another few years went by and one day she picked up bottle and wanted to open and smell the perfume, if it is still good, well it didn't open anymore. So I do believe the perfume makes something with the glas so it is sealed for ever. (Now more years have gone by and the bottle has completely disappeared maybe thrown out because it couldn't been opened up anymore.)
Is it possible the perfume bottle was a store sample filled with tinted water and that's why no scent can be detected? Usually old perfume bottles even if completely dry have remnants you can smell. That appears to be almost antique.
I love learning about the history of vintage/antiques,,thanks so much for sharing 😀 😊 keep it coming ❤
I've owned a number of cats but Bogart (my Siamese) will always be my favorite.
I rescued him as a kitten hiding behind some bushes while some boys from my then neighborhood tormented him & he was my buddy. You'd better believe those boys got a piece of my mind!

I love all of your adventures 💕 ...you really Never know what you will find ...your humor is the best.
I have a true Siamese...looks just like the blue-eyed statues you have and YES! She talks me to DEATH! and SO ORNERY but so loving!

It’s funny that now we’re supposed to “ count our steps” due to our lifestyles, back in the “ good old days” we were to save them! 😆🇨🇦
I thought of that too😁👵💖🏡
This "rift" with your nemesis is hilarious!
When you held up the cats, I started singing Peggy Lee's "We are Siamese, if you please"!
We are Siamese, If you don't please LOL
Me too, and I just saw you thought the same!!💚

The cats are charming! Thanks for taking us shopping on a rainy day!
My grandmother had a Hoosier cabinet. Hers had the flour sifter bin with the crank. And a pull out bin for maybe potatoes or onions.

It has rained heavily here in Manchester,England. That used to be our summer weather. We need it too.Reserviours are low.

I hope you offer the console bowl as an auction. It's so beautiful!!!
I love the new hat fall looking 🍁
I would buy the Texas centennial glasses as is. Texans buy anything Texas related.
Very true. I have cousins who moved to Texas in the very early 1960s & now they claim themselves as Texas natives & worship everything Texas!
We even have Texas shaped corn chips.
Love your videos. And no the small sifter is not for children or small people, it is for powdered sugar.
Thanks for another great video Scott. Love the Siamese cats and toaster.🐈⬛❤️
Good evening Scott 💓, garden season done, yeah!
Beautiful pieces Scott. The toaster is awesome 😎
Love the larger cats, I have a similar lamp with 3 cats!

Love the Hoosier jar and the toaster. Ps, Janis Joplin =love for me too.
Very nice cap!
Your back again tonight!!!?? You just made my evening!! ❤️
Could the sifter be for powered sugar…for cakes and whatever you want to dust with sugar🌻fun video😊
Yay another video from my favorite UA-camr🎉 awesome 🤩
The etching on that console bowl at 19:45 was quite remarkable! Same for the wine goblets at 26:30.
Will you film the inside of the city trolleys and the outside?
I had a siamese cat who was quite a talker. I also had the 1st two you showed and my cat broke them.
I've always wondered who is that person that puts things back upside down! :D 🙃
The etched glass bowl is STUNNING 😍! (I like Janis Joplin too, BTW)
That Sophia Chia pet was hilarious. I totally would have bought that! Did they also make ones of the other Golden Girls? I like your new cap, Scott!
I really liked the Sophia Chia pet too. Very funny.

Hi Scott I would have bought the blue Alamo glasses if you would have put them in your shop, love the siamese cats.😊
Hello Scott! That candy corn pillar candle holder is a Longaberger Pottery piece. Nice pottery but it doesn't sell for much.
I like when you find pieces for the Hoosier cabinet. I have an off brand cabinet in my kitchen and I love it . I keep all my baking and canning equipment in it. Thank s Scot
I had a Sellers cabinet in the 80’s. It had caramel slag glass windows in the top cabinets.
The toaster is a nice find.
Very nice things, Scott! 👍💕
Great shopping trip!👍🏼
Love the Siamese cats! (Second set) We have always had one or two through the years. Great companions! Nice finds Scot!
You always find the good stuff. Love the toaster.
You were getting leftover Hurricane rain. Best time to plant grass is during a FL Hurricane because the rain moves north and sits a few days afterward.
Frame 21:26 Why that Little Sifter is made just for the Little Lady of the house. ( cause she'd have little hands. lol ) Sorry, just being silly.
Scott, Mightn't the green depression wine goblets, be instead water goblets? Rather large to be wine glasses from that era.
Mpls.👑
Possibly. The etched grape and vine suggests wine to me.
Luv Siamese cat,I think its Beswick, not sure 🤔
I like jars with different shapes, too. I always pick them up and find something to do with them.
Nice cap, Scott!
That console bowl may have been sold in a jewelry store.
Is that a new hat I see there on your head?
“We are Siamese if you please….we are Siamese if you don’t please….”💚🐱
