This was only 13 years after the demise of Led Zeppelin, but 27 years from the present day, and the sight of a middle aged Jimmy Page playing in a Led Zeppelin tribute band with David Coverdale of all people, to a Japanese audience who are lapping it up is an odd sight.
Are you fucking kidding me ?? Coverdale has a couple "a extra vocal cords left (more than percey Plant)... so big geal.. Does this replace the legend we have all been exposed to since the 70's ????? Oh come on .....!
You could argue Robert Plant was the culprit, as he was asked by MTV to do an unplugged in '94, and Plant requested Page to join him as an "Unledded" performance, which then led to the '95 tour, '98 collaborative album and tour... and the rest is history. That being said, I actually prefer even Plant's latter day vocals ('90-'98) to Coverdale's on this number, believe it or not... Coverdale shrieks through it, and with the almost rockabilly vibe of the song, I just feel Plant suits it better. Plant's vocals on the '73 and '75 tours where this was the opening number, absolutely atrocious though.
At that year Plant could barely sing a Led Zeppelin song, while Coverdale being of the same generation could deliver as in the 70s, why can't people face that Deep Purple got better singers than Zeppelin
Too bad there wasnt more new music from these guys. Absolutely brilliant duo!
Finally this hard-rock song sung by a kick-ass hard-rock singer.
Screechy vocals...ugh
It's impossible not to love Mr Coverdale. However, I think I can cheat on him from time to time with Mr Plant. :)

Huh, Coverdale in a cover band.
Wocka wocka...

Error, Mr. Coverdale
Coverdale was FAR better than Plant. Today I'm not to sure.
SO my guess is that the Coverdale/Page album was a de facto audition for Coverdale to join a reunited Zeppelin, and someone pulled the plug on it.

@@jefferymendenhall8297 You're either high on crack or deaf. Good grief
Это должен петь Роберт Плант...... Мне не зашло....
Coverdale could not hit the high notes that Plant could. I think that Jimmy has transposed everything down a key to accommodate his vocal range.

Estoy Aburrido JUGUEMOS Plant lost his voice at 23 years old
"Rock'n'Roll" was played in original key here, you deaf moron. And Coverdale totally nailed it.
David Coverdale blows Plant away !!! Davids vice range here is incredible!!!
