I always find lingala so beautiful i love all the bantu languages, love from Senegalese mandinka
Please if you can interpret for me the song by kalambe its called *BELELA*
Please make more videos. You are the first channel to teach lingala
Lingala and Swahili are so complimentary.
Excellence Baby siyo kweli bwana
It depend... it complementary when you learn it in a Swahili side
No kibembe
@@lifewithnichole4993 Kibembe sounds like which Congolese language the most?
Lol na Lingala is ridiculously different to Swahili. I'd argue Lingala has a lot of influence from Sudanese languages?
Never stop this wonderful work especially that we are all hopeful to touch down in Kinshasa with the new democracy.
O zali kitoko, Traceigh! Loved the lesson. Thank you from Nairobi
In Sesotho(South African language).
People=Batu/Batho(pronounced the same)
Child=Ngwana
Children=Bana
Person=Mutu/Motho(Also pronounced the same)
Eye=Leihlo
Teeth=Meno
Tongue=Leleme
Hand=Letsoho
We share one ancestor.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bantu_expansion
We all belong to the same people and we used to speak the same language which we lost. I speak both lingala and sesotho and it's so amazing the similarities despite the distance where these two languages are spoken. 😃
In Bemba, the most widely spoken language in Zambia (51%) we say 'Abantu' to mean People, Umuntu ( Singular for a person) and when we say Ubuntu, we mean homo sapiens of Black/ African decent. 'Ilinso'=eye, eyes= Amenso, Ilino= Tooth, ameno'=teeth, Tongue='Ululimi', Tongues= Indimi, Hand='Ukuboko', Hands= Amaboko, Kid/child= Umwana, Children='Abana', Witch/wizard= Indoshi ( Singular) and plural ( Abaloshi), Stomach = Amala ( both Plu. or Sing.) Hair= Umushishi ( both plu & sing.) Leg = Ukulu, Legs=Amolu, (My name is Bob...Nine Bob...) That one = Uyu...These ones ( if refered to People) = Aba ( if near) and if further away, we say ...Abo. Beautiful/ Handsome/ cute = Umusuma...ugly = umubi....(Truly these are bantu languages
@@chilekwak.chilekwaii4960 note that in lingala the prefix 'ba' is used for the plural form and the prefix 'mu' for singular.
So the plural form of mwana/muana (child) is bana (children). That makes similarities even more striking.
@@MrDomiko Interesting indeed. Much appreciated for the free lesson
You find words meaning the same thing among Kenyan Bantus - Mino, Mukongo, Litoyi, Lolemi (Could be Lulimi in Kenya) , etc. We are all brothers and sisters - that is why Congolese who move to Kenya don't go anywhere because they have found their lost lost brothers and Sisters. Reminds me of the song ' Nakei Nairobi....'
Naza congolese! I’m going Congo for the first time and thought I could learn some last minute lingala. I think I found my translator!!❤️❤️❤️ but i speak quit well
I know Swahili and I’m realizing the languages are VERY similar it’s crazy! So hopefully it will be easy to learn.
This is so great. Thank you. I watched a documentary where the people spoke Lingala and it was subtitled in English. The film inspired me to learn Lingala -- it is so beautiful and rhythmic.
Ken Musto it sounds like a mix of ZULU and NORTH SOTHO in South Africa and yes you are right, it is a beautiful and rhythmic language
what’s the documentary?

Aww nice to know its hopeful!
In Kisii, Kenya. Was eating breakfast of Matoke( banana), tea and Mayai( eggs).. I opened your channel, I am in owe of the youth and beauty of this mwana mwasi.. I literally swallowed the whole plate without realizing! Pole to me, but it's worth it.. I'll do it tomorrow, even if it's dangerous to watch u at meal times😎. Most Lingala words are from Swahili where my language originated, I love your soft and lovely demeanor when u speak.. teach me anything and I'll swallow.. head first!🤛
The language is as beautiful as the host!! Channel is great big up for that..I'm impressed there's a lingala academy. Botondi

I love Lingala, I think it is a beautiful language. Please keep posting!! Your videos are the only access I have to such a magical language. Maybe next time you can do more numbers or more conversational phrases (such as Where are you from? How do I find..?) 😁😁 very eager to see your next piece of work 🙏🏾👌🏾💜
I like lingala, especial when it comes to "ngayi ngayi moko te" and stuff😀🤣 from SA
Beautiful congolese woman😍😍
Ohh thankyo so much. Madam. Nasepeli mamanagai .
WOW!!!! 😅😅😅 Now I can officially blame most African migrants including Congolese or (so-called Foreigners) in South Africa for Zenophobia because you kept the ONE thing that could have United us earlier to yourselves (Language). You made the job difficult for some of us who were on your side.
I first picked up similarities in our languages from reading "INDABA MY CHILDREN" by Credo Mutwa and also the power bestowed on the Congolese People and the geographical importance of Congo to the world.
Keep up the good work and may your channel grow bigger and better.
wondeful! keep it up...eyokani yaya

If you are African, You can end up in the arms of Swahili Mwanamke with matako kubwa or Lingala Mwanamke with munene Lisoko.
