This beautiful song caught me right from the start. I feel very sad for it not being in the movies. So I wanted to multitrack it and asked my bandmate Alina, if she would lend me her wonderful soprano.
For those of you who wondered:
The song was composed by Nicholas Hooper for the 6th Harry Potter film to be shown just before Dumbledore returns to Hogwarts and is killed by Snape, but it didn't make it into the cinematic cut. You can still find it though, if you watch the deleted scenes.
Because I never learnt any orchestral instruments like violin or bass, I had to replace them by the samples of my e-piano. Still everything you hear is played by us.

Dieses wunderschöne Lied hat mich seit dem ersten Hören gefesselt. Richtig schade, dass es nicht in den Filmen eingebaut ist. Ich wollte es aber trotzdem aufnehmen und fragte meine Bandkollegin Alina, ob sie mir diesbezüglich ihren wundervollen Sopran leihen könnte.
Für die, die sich wundern:
Der Song wurde von Nicholas Hooper für den 6. Harry Potter-Film geschrieben, platziert kurz bevor Dumbledore nach Hogwarts zurückkehrt und von Snape ermordet wird, wurde dann aber wieder rausgeschnitten. In den verworfenen Szenen ist er aber noch zu sehen.
Da ich nie irgendwelche orchestralen Instrumente gelernt habe, musste ich auf die Samples meines E-Pianos zurückgreifen. Trotzdem gilt: Alles, was man hört, ist von uns eingespielt.

I've heard that it was because of how insanely good Snapes acting was when this played. Basically you could tell that he's not the bad guy through his facial acting which would have spoiled some plot points
But in the movie I watched. They didn’t delete it

@ssalem. According to the pronunciation rules of ecclesiastical Latin, they aren't exactly perfect, but did pretty well nonetheless.
@Salem are you refering to ecllesiastical Latin or ancient Latin? because as Patryk said it, she's extremely close to perfect ecllesiastical Latin.

@Salem listen here Salem, I am actually not a native English speaker, but I study theology. Knowing about ecclesiastical Latin is required of me. And if you decide to make a statement on the internet you need to be prepared to be corrected for as long as that statement is visible to the public.

This song and scene set everything perfectly. The haunting sound of the song with the falling darkness on the characters was too perfect, they did the movie wrong with not including it.

You can also find it on the official soundtrack CD (Track 2). Well, at least you actually found out what was being said, as the deleted scene literally says "singing indistinctly," which is sad, considering this song basically summarizes the entire finale of not just HBP, but DH, as well.
But, damn, I wish I was as good with Latin as you two. For the first time, you actually got me to like a cover of an original song (that I also liked) better than said original.
