Great video, very detailed. I flew Starlux Basic Economy Oct. 26, 2023 LAX to TPE and was surprised to receive the amenity kit, along with a bottle of water and slippers. Sadly, I did not realize that the headrest can also adjust up and down until we landed🙁. (FYI: In the food menu, on screen, at the very bottom in small letters is an option to order soup. You have to ask for the soup at mealtime and it was some type of cream soup served in a paper cup.)

Been LAX-TPE and back on Starlux and soon will be going SFO-TPE. After the first experience I will not fly another airline intro TPE if I can help it. It was sublime.
I think much of what is good about Starlux can be placed at the feet of your notation, "The CEO is a pilot." The understandable result is clearly an emphasis on the flight experience, which - if superior - will drive company profits, rather than the less attractive "corporate approach" of focusing on profits first and designing the minimum acceptable flight experience paying passengers will tolerate.
Love your review here for Starlux (星宇航空) have you noticed any Filipino passengers because at the time of your video they would be buying this much cheaper been flying Philippine Airlines (菲律賓航空) Los Angeles to Manila PR103 and MNL-CEB domestic flight. They would actually be buying JX1/2 to JX785/786 MNL and JX781/782 CEB🇵🇭 via TPE🇹🇼. Since you are from Taiwan I wonder how does this compare to Cathay Pacific (國泰航空)? Towards Los Angeles this is actually competing with PR102 MNL-LAX. You lose a day going eastbound over the Pacific Ocean gain a day westbound
Quite a number of Filipinos are taking Starlux flights to the US continent. I took JX1 Premium Economy otw back and sitting beside me was a Filipino lady going back to Cebu transiting via TPE. I have not flown Cathay Pacific on the transpacific or transatlantic routes, so can't make a fair comparison with Starlux. 🙂
@ryan_cy thank you for telling me about that. Have you tried Philippine Airlines (🇹🇼🇭🇰 spelling 菲律賓航空), yet you should try it their Mainline Fleet are exactly the same as Cathay Pacific (🇭🇰🇹🇼 spelling 國泰航空). Only my mother prefers it because it's a direct flight to MNL🇵🇭 from JFK/LAX🇺🇲.
Based on my experience, Starlux is good at having a young modern fleet, some innovations inside the cabin and excellent service. The cons of Starlux are standard inconsistency across flights and delays. I have not flown EVA and China Airlines yet (I will do in future), so can't make the apple-to-apple comparisons 😅
In Starlux A350-900, forward seat passengers are among the first to disembark the plane. Other than that, a forward seat has no different with a standard seat. ☺️

Yes, in fact Starlux is the launch customer of the second generation A350 with its dimmable windown developed by Gentex. What's special about Starlux is that as they are expanding their fleet with new aircraft, you get to experience these cool features first hand. ☺️
If you wish to fly in the A350-900 aircraft, I recommend flying the SIN - TPE route. I think Starlux is using A321neo/A330-900 for most of its Southeast Asia destinations...
You may do it if you fly with Starlux for the Asia - US route. From my experience, Taipei Taoyuan actually offers quite a comfortable transit experience, many facilities are provided for free. Have a nice journey bro! ☺️
Its not true that the 32" seat pitch of Starlux economy class is one of the best. ANA (All Nippon Airways) has 34", they have the best for economy class. Not Starlux and moreover on Starlux official site, their regular seat pitch is 31" to 32" so not definitely 32".
You are right, the seat pitch is 31 ~ 32" for economy. I felt that the seat pitch in my row is 32" as the legroom was very comfortable. 32" is not the best like ANA, but definitely above average in the industry. Thank you for watching! 😊

EK KUL-JFK 和 星宇 SIN-Pacific coast 我兩個都搭過，兩個都挺不錯，但是星宇比較便宜且用的是比較新的客機。😊

可以先在線上報到剛開放時先選好和預留心儀的位子，然後在線上報到就要關閉的時候再留意一下，要是看到更好的位子還是可以換過去的。

我是在網上報到一開放的時候先選好自己的心儀位子，然後再到快關閉之前換到空排位子的。建議在淡季的時候乘搭飛機出遊，機票通常比較便宜，搭客量少，得到空排的位子機率比較高！☺️

星宇為何不開雅加達航線 我娶了個印尼老婆 往後必定經常往返印尼 其實我對星宇越來越不喜歡 因為滿多次什麼超時故障常常上新聞
個人認為可能是空客飛機交付緩慢造成新航線延遲開通，所以星宇先把主要目標放在最賺錢的航線上。
星宇東南亞全航線已通 唯獨印尼沒有 ，華航長榮每天飛 華航更是增夜班摸黑也要去印尼 我沒要筆戰 我真的就好奇

我之前就想訂雪梨-桃園-曼谷，雪梨是下午飛，晚上9點到，剛好銜接11點的曼谷。
試問您是那一天搭程的？我也剛剛在上週三搭同一班次回LAX，也是最後排右側靠窗座位！感覺上還不錯，但説實話不怎麼喜歡他們的空中電影娛樂服務項目，因為所有節目都太過分老舊的片子。再來個人也不怎麼喜歡他們的男空服務人員的行為舉止態度，因為實在太過分「娘們」了，根本沒一絲一毫有男空服該有的氣慨，讓人感到超級gay非常非常….非常的不舒服！還有我那一班的空服務人員竟然全程有11小時裡，把電子自動窗簾系統給鎖上關掉，使得我全程無法從空中瞭望外頭的天空景象，更荒唐的是進場落地前不管電子窗簾被完全開到底，外頭的夜景燈光視線還是非常的暗淡無光！！最後必須指出一點的是外籍機長（菲律賓籍吧？！）的廣播報告內容實在實在太短了，可能連15秒鐘都不到就報告完畢！接下來換國籍副駕駛以中文廣播內容，也同樣不怎麼仔細非常簡單呼嚨帶過去，讓乘客感到整班組員，前艙和後艙組員，不怎麼專業的感覺！
這趟 JX2 班機是在今年10月28號。星宇的班機我加起來共搭乘了4趟（會陸續放上這個頻道），我暫時還沒碰到一些糟糕的服務，要是有遇到也會照樣放上來的。 機上娛樂那一部分非常贊同你說的👍，所以沒有給滿分就是這個原因。覺得可以把所遇到的問題反饋給星宇公司，需要把問題解決才能成為最好的航空。還有，謝謝你的觀看和留言！ 😊
@@ryan_cy 如果與美國國內航空公司相比起來，他們的服務還是真的不錯！到糟糕的程度還不至於，只是一些地方需要努力改進一下就可以了！至於機上娛樂電影系統我個人有發現沒很多人在觀賞影片，可以說非常的少人在使用！我在上一個留言說過男服務人員的舉止行為是真的讓我覺得非常超級不舒服，一來他們的制服已經非常貼身緊繃和瘦身材，再加上那肢體，手勢，談吐方式，實在令人雞皮疙瘩，只差沒有問他們是不是「半公母阿」！還有一項沒有說到就是空服務人員送餐使用的全身圍巾實在太過「悚」太俗氣不整潔，每一個服務人員的整條圍巾/裙都是皺巴巴看似完全從來沒有經燙平整理過的感覺！！！！我個人非常支持K董，希望我小小的一位消費者以購買機票和他們提供的機上免稅商品，能讓他們漸漸的茁壯成長起來，且能看到他們將來在航空界有一席之地！
說得好，整體上做得不錯，一些小地方需再改進才可以擠進世界最佳航空界！👍
能搭A-350架機型是很好的感受，這機型是空巴在B-777上世後新設計來對抗777的，空巴每種機型都無懈，波音除了737外，都很好，
