@@TheTrollingMaster-xr9el when he either is hurt because his head cannon was broken, is biased or actually has a good reason for not liking the show. (Proably the first 2)
This show has huge potential. A live action kid centric show directed by Jon Watts? Sign me up! Kids that like Star Wars are gonna LOVE this. After the mess that was the acolyte this show is gonna change everyone’s mind about Disney Star Wars
Why do you think there's suddenly going to be a huge shift lol? You do realize that the same people that signed off on Acolyte and all the other bad shows also signed off on and are over seeing this one? Made the choice on which pitch to accept, who to hire etc? And this was setup way before the Acolyte backlash. I would not expect this to be of any better quality.
This show from description and photos, kinda reminds me of the ewok made dor tv films from way back when everyone forgot about. The ones about wicket and the curly haired child, the stories escape me, but i do remember them.
Some people think this is releasing at Christmas because it's connected to life day and other rumor from ages ago was that it was delayed and releasing later to be nearer to the next Mandalorian Project.
@@botman234langer6 I generally liked it too, though with some reservations about the ending. But, you know, it doesn't have to be perfect to be enjoyable, which it generally was. I do think that Skeleton Crew is more up my alley though.
So they're basically doing a family friendly stranger things/goonies/spy kids in star wars? My question is, this is obviously meant for young kids, but are young kids really even watching Star Wars in meaningful numbers these days? I don't have kids of my own, but my friends kids aren't and as far as I know streaming stuff isn't really as popular among younger generations as watching YT, tiktok etc. I kind of feel that part of the reason Disney is failing, is that they're grossly under aware that their audience is still largely people who grew up on the OT and Prequals.
@@DanBen07 not sure, but it definitely looks like it's for kids. everything else they've done has definitely been pretty tame, chasing to defuse a lot of tension with humor, avoiding emotional connections/losses etc. I mean if they want to do stranger things in space im all for it. But i doubt disney would do that.
About 9ABY. Same as The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett and Ahsoka. It will likely connect to those shows in some way, whether it be a big connection or small. I think we can all agree that we don’t want it to connect as much as Boba Fett did
Show isn’t even out yet. It depends on who’s behind the project as seen with Andor. Jon watts directed some good films and he’s using original characters doing their own thing so there should be no controversy regarding the show breaking canon.
@@paulallen2680 THE ACOLYTE used original characters. So did OBI-WAN , other than legacy ones. They noth tuned out to be shit. ANDOR was a masterpiece and an outlier. We'll never get anything that good again.
@@peterluna I doubt that and the Obi-Wan show had Obi wan as the main character. I’m talking about original characters not legacy characters. Again, it depends on the director and Jon watts directed some good movies.
I just don’t trust lucasfilm. It’s easy to blame Disney but when they have other stuff working perfectly fine and Star Wars still sucks, we need to start talking about who’s actually in charge of the creative decisions. Lucasfilm has been an embarrassment
Depends on the director. Disney likes to hire shitty directors for some reason but they sometimes hire good directors such as Tony Gilroy. Jon Watts has directed some good movies as well so I’m not so worried with his project
the "kids on bikes" genre is going to spaaaaace.

Looks promising, but they’re trying too hard to get that goonies aesthetic with those jackets and bikes. We’ll see how it goes I guess
If that little elephant guy is supposed to be the same species as Max Rebo, he shouldn't have legs, strictly speaking 😉
They have gone back and fourth on that.
They'll probably just explain it away as a subspecies and be done with it.
