What was most impressive about the Celtics was that they used all the criticism and doubt as motivation. Jaylen Brown and Jason Tatum formed an unbreakable bond. Who was chosen MVP only mattered to the press and fans, not to that team. It was a collective effort they put together to show everyone what Teamwork really means.

He has shown a lot of growth. I met him last summer at my sons college in Jersey. He couldn’t have been nicer. He deserves to be on the Olympic team over a few people on that team

I think his reason for that is he hyped up the celtics before their GSW match. When they lost, he told everyone that the C's would win the next year when they got brogdon vs the Heat and lost 3-4. From then on, he lost faith. Prior to those, he was rah rah rah for the 2 Jays. I think he fessed up in Jefferson's show.

Mav need a 2 way shooter in their starting lineup. Someone who can drain the open 3s Luka creates and pick up some slack for Luka anf Kyrie's mediocre defense. OG Anunoby would be a good fit and seems like he hasnt gotten a good offer from the Knicks yet. Luka, Kyrie, OG, PJ and Lively would be very solid with Gafford and Jones Jr coming off the bench. But they right about Luka, he gotta get in better shape to be able play at a faster pace. That slow offense was the death of the Mavs this finals. The Celtics elite defense was way too comfortable, the Pacers rapid paced offense was far more difficult to guard. Dallas got held under 100 in the 4 losses and only scored 88 and 89 in 2 of them. That just isnt enough to have a shot against the Celts.
Celtics absolutely dominate slow moving offenses. They give them way too much time to set up on D.
I was rooting against the celtics but after game 1 I knew they were too good to beat. This was by far one of the easiest runs in championship history, or at least they made it look easy. Next year is gonna be interesting, these celtics have crossed the finish line and will have that confidence and experience going for them so they’ll be the favorites, but they proved that it takes more than 2 or 3 stars to get it done. Their depth got them here and won it all in the end.
I’ll be rooting for other teams, but the Celtics are definitely the current model for success. Hope the Mavs can learn from this and build/develop the team to reach that next level. I’m expecting Luka to be in the best shape of his life after this summer, if he’s really about winning a chip

The biggest issue for the celtics is paying all the salarires. With the new CBA rules coming into effect July 1, it will be interesting how they approach it. The terms of the CBA are designed to break up teams like the celtics and make the league more equal.

I believe the Celtics players were happy the moment Minnesota beat Denver on their homecourt in the 2nd round. Say what you want about their bench but Celtics bench ain't deep either. I have faith in Denver perimeter D than I had in Dallas & Malone would have likely got more in their players face and only played who were productive.
