A sin i want to add: Cragonos Mines is probably the worst designed area in the game. Its hell to get through without repels, all the trainers have 5 Pokemon with the sturdy ability, and it takes FOREVER to reach the end.
My personal issue that was not mentioned here is that the level gaps between each gym are much higher than in Nintendo Pokemon games making the story grindy without an exp share. Thankfully in most copies we get it for free which fixes this problem. The story is also almost unexistent before 3rd gym and the summonings of kyogre and groudon just happen because why not and then serve no significance to the rest of the storyline. Also has anybody ever wondered where do the cars in Anthian city and trucks in Port Decca go?
I do believe that Jake being a sheepish and cowardly person is the point of his character during the first portion of the game, but I do agree that he does not have much relevance prior to the fourth gym. I feel that the game just struggles with keeping characters actively involved in the storyline. The game also struggles with actions having consequences, like when Groudon and Kyogre were summoned. There is an intense scene of the awakening of these Pokemon just for absolutely nothing of note to happen. No recollection of the events afterward and no lasting impact on the story whatsoever. The only time when something of consequence does happen is near the middle and end of the game. Anyways, great video. Also, thank you for an actual challenging Pokemon Brick Bronze copy.

One thing I don’t see many people talk about is how low the levels of wild Pokémon are. The 3rd gym is somewhere around level 36-ish and the players team will probably be around the same but the wild Pokémon found on the beach right by the gym are LEVEL 15, it makes it so if you want a new team member at basically any point in the game you’ll have to grind it up likely more than a dozen levels.
my biggest issue is free to play mfs having a disadvantage against pay to win mfs in battle colo i wish i knew pokemon showdown existed so i couldve just played that instead of grinding hours
some sins I wanna add: 1. The water gym is a complete joke compared to the rest of the gyms. Design wise it basically rips the blueprints to the 1st gym but with a 'Where's My Water' type puzzle instead of a dance floor, and the worst part is that the gym leader is a complete pushover with the same amount of Pokemon as the 2nd gym, and none of the 3 Pokemon are any challenge of kill. 2. The AI stinks, all throughout the later battles/gyms/rival fights etc. I was gobsmacked to see the incomprehensibly dumb moves that the AI made, the amount of times I've witnessed the AI pick moves that were not very effective or didn't effect me at all left a hand print on my forehead from how many times I slapped it out of confusion. 3. The gym leaders are very forgettable, not every gym leader needs to attempt at shooting for B&W gym leader memorability, but considering how much of a prominent threat Team Eclipse became to Roria you would expect for the gym leaders to go outside for once or even help you in some cases near big climaxes, but they don't. aside from the Brimber & Aredian City gym leaders, you don't get to see anything of worth out of the gym leaders aside from the gym battles. And it's blasphemous in the cases of the Rosecove & Anthian City gym leaders who sat in their gyms as team eclipse took over their respective cities and let the competency of a single teenager decide the fate of said cities. And besides that, they don't bring anything noteworthy in terms of character to make you want to care for them or their cities with the exception of the Brimber City gym leader. 4. Legendaries. ignoring how annoyingly difficult they are to encounter and capture, the fact that LTS laid so many easter eggs out for potential Legendaries to show up in game - most notably Xerneas - only for nothing to come of them is embarrassing, along with that Groudon, Kyogre, Dialgia, Palkia and Hoopa are the only 5 Legendaries that play a big role in the story of the game while the rest are cast aside to "fill up the Pokedex" which is ridiculous. 5. Submarine fossil diving. LTS really got together and said "this take on the Grand Underground is unique and fun, let's make the batteries needed for these diving expeditions cost real money" bruh. To be fair, the batteries aren't as expensive as the prices for BP or Pokedollars, but the fact that you need to pay real money to access the game's Grand Underground which is where you exclusively find fossil Pokemon and Togepi is ridiculous. Despite the overly dramatic laundry list however, I still love this game and will continue to replay for as long as I love Pokemon, especially considering these are the games that introduced me to the series in terms of game play.
there were no premium payouts at the time. The game had actually 0 way to make money. It had a full team and it was in development for 2 years. The game wasn't that p2w at the time compared to the Gacha systems today.
When that person who gave you the running shoes and got captured by some type of net. That was irrelevant to the story, like who was he? Jake only cared about getting “stronger” when you first meet that dragon female trainer who is the granddaughter of the blue orb keeper. The whole time it seems like he was kissing up to you. It’s hard to gain more pokedollars in the game, you mostly have to get BP in order to get the Lucky Incense.
I believe the running shoes guy was the creator of Roblox Deathrun, and him liking running and also getting captured was a reference to the game. There are a lot of game devs who were put in the game as gym leaders and their challenges were based on the games they made. Kind of an easter egg for older roblox players
Agreed with a lot of the decisions here, even if I enjoy PBB, being a F2P player, and trying to get the full dex, makes me want to end my life at times.
I HATED the level curve for Pokemon Brick Bronze in my opinion because as a kid I had extremely under leveled Pokemon for the 4th gym and was struggling against every trainer and I had no idea where i can grind exp since i never google where i can grind exp

Brick Bronze had 1 major flaw in my eyes, why do they force you to beat Eclipse and Hoopa BEFORE THE 8TH GYM?! I always thought the Legendary Pokémon events should be just after you beat the league so the toughest trainers in the game are actually difficult and not just " *insert boxart legend here* go brrrr"

Heavily disagree. Your goal the entire time has been get to crescent island and beat team eclipse to get your parents back. Team eclipse also isn't just gonna wait for you to beat the gym, they could easily just send a bunch of guys to beat you up and steal the brick.

I was a free to play player and I didn't really have much trouble with the colosseum points system, though that was probably because I didn't touch grass
also the level scaling is so abysmal. LIKE ITS SO BAD. when ur team is full of level 16s and the game knows with trainers you’ll be finding mons that are level 10.

other than how absurdly P2W the game was, my biggest issue with brick bronze is how boring it was before the 3rd gym. The routes are bland, full of unavoidable wild pokemon and the fights are terribly easy. It gets slightly better at rosecove and I like the route after brimber, but until you beat the rosecove gym it's just a slog. Once you get to route 9 though the games area design gets wayyyy better.
Yeah, a lot of these problems actually don't apply to BL because of its plethora of changes, but all copies have free game passes now and usually have cheaper purchases anyway.
Pbb was a good game dispite its flaws, now we have clones far worse like pbb forever that literaly makes everything impossible to progress has they want you to invest your money into the game, roulettes, p2w features, subscriptions with goodies, but there is a recent clone called Roria Conquest that is actually pretty damn good has you can obtain things very easily, has every pokemon, dynamaxes etc it should gain attention, cause pbb forever has a clone of the real pbb is a scam.
You forgot to add the fact that the levels increase WAY TOO QUICKLY No bc the 2nd gym is already a little too high, and then there is barely any story between the 2nd gym and 3rd gym and im already expected to be LEVEL 38???? the levels increase way too much, way too quickly, and its even worse since you cant even get an exp share without buying it with robux. I’d much rather the 2nd gym be 20-22 3rd gym be 26-29 and so on not 38 🤬 I WAS ONLY LEVEL 27 WHEN I CHALLENGED THE GYM OMGG
PBB Leveling is great. You need to learn how to fight all the trainers and team balance. One of the trainers on the savannah route literally gives over 1k per match and can be fought over again.
It really isnt great though. I know some people will call it a “skill issue. get good” thing, but I shouldn’t have to grind for hours for a SINGLE gym. I think they wanted the champion to be level 100, but apply. more story to make the leveling reasonable
I don’t know if this is a problem for anyone else, but I’m gonna throw this in here because of my personal experience, fuck the flying gym specifically. When I was younger, I literally could not beat it because it was so fucking hard. without an electric type, you’re screwed. I still hope the opinion that it is the hardest fight in the entire game. All of his Pokémon are extremely fast and have an advantage over your starter, no matter what you picked
@@InfraredGod those are really slow and 3/5 of his pokemon have moves to just obliterate them (Steel wing, Earthquake, and Superpower.) plus, your best option is Pupitar unless you’re willing to power the thing up to Tyranitar before hand. Plus, it’s a huge fuck you to the player because you’re just gonna ditch it afterwards because the very next gym destroys these things. Plus, Gigalith and Golem are annoying to evolve. I love this game, it’s just a personal pet peeve I have.

Most sources indicate that the player, Jake, and Tess are between 10 and 13, and even if they’re not, they’re heavily implied to be minors.

something that I hated about pbb was the atrocious level curve in the game same thing with the wild pokemon like being past the 7th gym and the wild pokemon are still level 30-40 is crazy esspically if you want to use it then you have to grind a lot of exp for it

I was a free to play player and I didn't really have much trouble with the colosseum points system, though that was probably because I didn't touch grass
also the level scaling is so abysmal. LIKE ITS SO BAD. when ur team is full of level 16s and the game knows with trainers you’ll be finding mons that are level 10.

@@InfraredGod exactly. i played ur remake. ive beat emerald kaizo nuzlocke (not hardcore) so it wasnt hard but i liked the difficulty changes. however, relying on dens and rebattles for levels is kinda poor game design when just increasing trainer levels is much more convenient. hope you can change this, but its not necessary. just some nit picks.
1. Before you fight the water type gym when Jake is talking to Tess he states the he help fend off the team eclipse members with groudon.
2. There is no way you would want to catch a Pokémon in the 8th gym when there at the levels of

@@MicrosoftAccount-h7l I think their point is that, since it's in the middle of an icy landscape, it should've had had at _least_ one ice type on the team.
Most other gyms had a team that reflected their environment fairly well. This one just sorta sticks out I guess.

I think we as players can agree that BP sucks ass. Winning in a row system is stupid because you can just enounter smurf accounts and lose. And like 95% of ALL gym 7 and onwards players use overly competetive strategies which takes entire fun from PvP at endgame, and the amount you need is absurd, like 150 BP for an item. 200 for just ONE megastone etc, i hate brick bronze pvp as a casual player and that will not change
I think the biggest sin of all Pokémon roblox games is that they try to make robux of it. Like bro, it’s not your ip if you want to make robux make your own creature catcher. (Yes I am lowkey asking you to remove robux payment from bronze legacy but you’re far from the only one doing this)

other than how absurdly P2W the game was, my biggest issue with brick bronze is how boring it was before the 3rd gym. The routes are bland, full of unavoidable wild pokemon and the fights are terribly easy. It gets slightly better at rosecove and I like the route after brimber, but until you beat the rosecove gym it's just a slog. Once you get to route 9 though the games area design gets wayyyy better.
True, the early game of PBB could easily be cheesed with a wide variety of Pokemon (Route 4 Huge Power Marill has done wonders)

Pbb was a good game dispite its flaws, now we have clones far worse like pbb forever that literaly makes everything impossible to progress has they want you to invest your money into the game, roulettes, p2w features, subscriptions with goodies, but there is a recent clone called Roria Conquest that is actually pretty damn good has you can obtain things very easily, has every pokemon, dynamaxes etc it should gain attention, cause pbb forever has a clone of the real pbb is a scam.

You forgot to add the fact that the levels increase WAY TOO QUICKLY
No bc the 2nd gym is already a little too high, and then there is barely any story between the 2nd gym and 3rd gym and im already expected to be LEVEL 38???? the levels increase way too much, way too quickly, and its even worse since you cant even get an exp share without buying it with robux.

PBB Leveling is great. You need to learn how to fight all the trainers and team balance. One of the trainers on the savannah route literally gives over 1k per match and can be fought over again.
It really isnt great though. I know some people will call it a “skill issue. get good” thing, but I shouldn’t have to grind for hours for a SINGLE gym. I think they wanted the champion to be level 100, but apply. more story to make the leveling reasonable

I don’t know if this is a problem for anyone else, but I’m gonna throw this in here because of my personal experience, fuck the flying gym specifically. When I was younger, I literally could not beat it because it was so fucking hard. without an electric type, you’re screwed. I still hope the opinion that it is the hardest fight in the entire game. All of his Pokémon are extremely fast and have an advantage over your starter, no matter what you picked

@@InfraredGod those are really slow and 3/5 of his pokemon have moves to just obliterate them (Steel wing, Earthquake, and Superpower.) plus, your best option is Pupitar unless you’re willing to power the thing up to Tyranitar before hand. Plus, it’s a huge fuck you to the player because you’re just gonna ditch it afterwards because the very next gym destroys these things. Plus, Gigalith and Golem are annoying to evolve. I love this game, it’s just a personal pet peeve I have.
