You should be able to mix a super str and super att potion separately from a super combat though. I wish they'd add mixed potions a bit more like anti dragon mixes with a super att or something so it saves a slot before saving many slots with a super combat itself
The prepot is the same as drinking the normal pots it isnt any different its just more convinient. Before i go into toa i take a sip of a range, super combat, anti venom etc and then put them back in the bank. I could just take one sip and get all those pots i put in so much faster. Great idea imo.
feel like OSRS are going back into the mini game routine that ruined RS3 we now have a mini game for construction/wc/fishing/mining/smithing/farming/fire making that completely blow out the other methods of exping with minimal effort im surprised they havent reintroduced runespan yet.
Oh boy cant wait to use my own herbs for less experience in a bad minigame and one of the "rewards" for the game is to get some of the potions you would have made with the materials you brought... for less experience.
Don’t think the pack is a good idea as that’ll destroy the market with the flood of potions in game so idk if I like that too much. But the bag and outfit sound great and I’d love to see them. The others sound ok but I won’t be sad if they don’t make it in.
I'm more interested in the *aggression potion.* I play both and the aggression potion is an absolute *must have* in RS3 for slayer, I suspect nothing less in OSRS with things like chinning and bursting certain tasks instead of having to use things like darts or the bulwark spec.
@@ScriticRS this update is like tithe farm its to train a skill without the materials its an IM update, if IM wasnt in the game this wouldnt be structured this way as its mostly dead content outside of the rewards

He really over hyped the pre pot device to be something more than it is... it's just to simplify pre potting at a bank. Says so in the article they're looking to make it only usable at a bank or by a bank chest
i think the name for the potion you where looking for is overload also if they stay bank only drink or pre-pot then it would for now only be useful for nex because that's the only real boss with a bank next to it.
Prepot thing make it untradeable, easy, or make it a set boost of basically an overload (enhanceable for venom/antifire) As an iron thats 500 deep to a tob grind this would be lovely
From a main perspective, a lot of the rewards seem geared towards either QoL or making Herblore cheaper by bettering the margins. Having the Amulet of Chemistry(i) making three times as many 4-doses and saving 10% of secondaries may make the difference between Herblore being trained with a loss and with profit. It's not a massive thing for mains beyond the bank space savers, pre-pot QoL and secondaries pouch being useful for a few moneymakers. The META's still probably gonna be to earn more money and spend that money on training the skill as fast as possible, but it's another option of how to train the skill for those that may want it. At least this update has a purpose for mains, even if it's minor rewards stuff. There has been updates that literally serve 0 potential purpose for mains and is purely iron QoL, like the Scar Essence Mine. So for an update that relates to a skill that's "top 3 massive pains in the ass for Irons to train", having an effect on how some mains may play the game without warping the META around it is a good thing IMO
I guess the combo pots are gonna be the same as on rs3 which doesn't make the game easier it just saves you inv spots but can make yoy waste anti fire and anti potions
The Pre-Pot reward kind of sounds like Salves and other combination potions in RS3 - and if they work like them, this would mean you can easily save 2-4 inventory slots. That's pretty powerful for OSRS tbh

Part of the questionnaire on the news post does ask if players want the mini game to be self sufficient or to bring your own herbs along - so while I have no idea when that closes, fill it out and you never know, we might not need to bring herbs :)

It would be great to have some form of self sufficient herblore training even if it would be really slow cauce forcing skill resources to he gained from usually very long combat grinds never really sat right with me... They basically make it pointless to train the skill normally, and usually ruin the profits of it, because if you dont get the outfit now you produce like 1/3 - 1/2 of what other people will. it's the rinse and repeat aspect of it that i find annoying. like lets just have a skilling boss for every skill where its in the centre of the room and you fire fish / green flames / runes at it.. maybe something a little more creative in the future
I dunno. Even as an ironman, feel lk I'd just grind it out for the outfit, and maybe some of the other rewards, and then just train in the traditional way unless the pot sets end up getting more than the herbs I've put into it. Hoping it'll at least be useful for getting some use out of all the low level herbs I've accumulated
im very sceptical of the pre pot device, i played another mmo that had an alchemy skill that encouraged players to brew and make their own potions and once they implemented a 1 click item for the sake of convinience and quality of life that gave (all) potion effects regardless of if you had the level to make the potion yourself. i understamnd that this is different to what is being proposed, but it still doesnt give me much hope when something similar managed to completly remove a skills entire progression through this item. I think if this was going to be added id love to see some requirements added onto it (only being able to add potions you have the herblore level to make) also with the seperate storage for potions, i dont think it makes sense for it separate to the bank, if I'm gearing up for some pvm and need / want to carry multiple doses of potions with me am i going to store my potions in my bank or this separate thing somewhere else? it seems like such an unnecessary thing to implement, if they wanted potions to be less of a strain on player bank space they should rework how bank space works in totality and not just for 1 part of the bank. it doesnt make sense to ahve a new system for (only) potions in the bank while leaving the rest untouched. i know we could use it as a baseline of how the rest of the bank could be readjusted but i would prefer to see this come as a separate, more fleshed out update further down the line if at all. (changing the bank UI and how it functions might be deemed "not oldschool" and thrown out of the window if not approached with enough thought and player input)

pre pot device only works at banks. so not op at all just saves 10 seconds instead of having to drink every potion itself before entering a raid.

@@PhilTruthborne You can acquire herbs through farming and seeds through thieving or farming contracts.
@@yarsaz4347 Yes i'm aware. It's at an average xp rate of 2-3k per hour if you 100% uptime your herb runs with unlimited seed supply.
