What makes this even more impressive, IMO, is that Morgan Tremaine was a last minute witness who contacted Depp's team late in the trial when he realized he had relevant info. So Camille had little time to contact him and evaluate and prepare.

What I noticed most was Johnny's lawyers worked as a TEAM and helped each other. Each individual lawyer was good but together they presented their case extremely well. Amber's lawyers didn't appear to work well with each other, as if they were each individuals instead of a team after a common goal. They didn't appear to support each other.

There's no better example of this than Ben and Camille's closing arguments vs. Rottenborn and Elaine's closing arguments. While Ben's part set up and reinforced Camille's, Rotterborn's part took up too much time and felt disjointed from Elaine's. Not to mention that Elaine's part felt frantic and disordered on its own.

I think a lot of credit goes to Ben Chew here as the lead attorney. Many people have commented on how his strongest skillset is that he's a strategist. He's okay with stepping back and supporting other members of the team in their specialties or assigning them specific tasks and trusting them to do what they were assigned. Camille was a perfect counter to Amber, and he let her shine. Denison is really good at taking apart experts, and Chew let him shine there. Chew was probably the cleverest man in the room by not having to prove to everyone that he was clever by taking all the highest profile or coolest sounding tasks. Also, everyone probably did better at their tasks for their focus.

Because they are both right handed and she is too dumb to realise that when she is applying her “bruise” with her right hand using a mirror, it will be on the right side of her face. Also, a right handed fist would land on her left.

I can see Amber's reasoning behind applying it to her right cheek.... Because when she looks in the mirror to apply it... it's her mirror image's left cheek - and yes, I really think that her brain works that way. I also don't believe that she reads a book a day with her poor grammar, sentence structures and choices of words. And let's not even go to the rehearsed "parakeet" - it was supposed to be "parquet" - statement on the stand... At first I thought I'd just heard it wrong, not being a native English speaker myself, but after listening to her in various analysis videos, I could not unhear it. She's uneducated and unsophisticated, and it's just so blatantly obvious. I'm not entirely sure when and where she was worse: her deposition or the recent trial, or even her interview. She doesn't have the ability to structure her thoughts. Come to think of it, Johnny was lucky that she's such a poor planner. If she was smarter, she'd have been his doom. What gets me though is how her parents can be - from what we saw from them - such lovely people, and yet she turned out the way she did. I guess nature triumphed over nurture there.

To argue with a narcissist is like a big fight. I heard that Camille after the cross, when everybody was gone, went into another room and cried. A narcissist can burn you out. I guess it's hard to prepare a cross with such a person as AH. Camille had to be spontaneously smart. In a brilliant way she outsmarted AH.

@@hannaz4617 Wow. Even psychologists are not immune to this abuse. Imagine what Johnny lived through! Reading your comment brought out that familiar, cripling emotion that lives inside of me, that I immediately understand, due to the impact of my experiences with trying to communicate with a narcissist.
One of the most torturous things in life is communicating with a narcissist. They feed on our emotions, and are not logical, & since they don't use logic or respond to it, even when we stay logical, they STILL use many forms of communication like body language, facial expressions, and verbal abuse in responding to us, it's very traumatic, as we cannot turn off our emotions on the inside. This is why therapists & doctors suffer from trying to help these people.

@@SydMountaineer That is so true! It's so exhausting to communicate with a narcissist. You'll always lose. They make you always low and they'll keep you low. Until you think something is wrong with you, they turn everything around, they put you down, they try to humiliate you and they are lying. The bad thing is, they don't only make you crazy, you lose the trust in yourself, your self confidence, self esteem and self worth. You have to reinvent yourself again and create a strong self image so that you can feel good with yourself. The conversation with a narcissist is a fight, that you'll lose. Inside you are broken. I recognize how strict and strong Camille stayed on her path and didn't give AH a chance to turn things around. Camille is professional, strong and smart, but she is also human and emotional. After her cross examination she felt drained, exhausted and she had a loss of energy. It costs a lot of energy and insight so that you are not getting lost in a fight with a narcissist. Yes, you are right I think therapist and doctors they have their own therapy to heal psychological from their attacks. I think Johnny went through hell. When I listen to the tapes I rejected and hate her voice so much.

I think Camille knew what Elaine was planning to jump on...and used it. Elaine was completely focused on objecting when Morgan violated his NDA. Camille dangled it but never went there. In another context, you might say Camille encouraged Elaine into 'target fixation'. Elaine was so over-focused on her trap that she was kept waiting for it. I don't think she even noticed that Camille was slowly pulling the rug out from under her till it was too late.
It again points to Elaine seemingly having a rigid plan in place, and being unable to roll with the punches and react to unexpected events, and not able to see opportunities and act on them. @@cajbaf no, I don't think it's beating a dead horse etc. I watched another lawyer throughout the trial who sky rocketed into fame, and gained 400K more followers just on this trial, and she has the best personality, but.. for budding lawyers that watch, Andrea's 9 video of Isaac Baruche, for example she pointed out several mistakes EB made as a defense attorney such as some of her ??s were open ended, or a question that should have only been asked on Direct examination, not defense.. and she is the only lawtuber, that I found to have made a very compelling argument about TMZ'S past relationship with AH, and also, the questionable legal action they positioned in court VS an Injunction, meaning, maybe they had to make it look like they didn't want Morgan Tremain to testimony because they want to keep their journalism integrity, but maybe,,, they didn't put up a fight since every case law their attorney argued (outside presence of jury) was all scenarios where the journalist was supeonad/compelled to testify, where Morgan Tremain volunteered the information and time lines he had and agreed to testify. Keep this argument in mind, because Andrea also points out in her Morgan Tremain series that Elaine's team, did issue a supeona for Morgan Tremain to testify the evening prior so it would line up with next day's TMZ lawyer case law testimony, EB did that even though she knew he was testifying willingly therefore none of TMZ case law arguments past Judge A's cmon sense. So 5k people have already watched her video within an hour and her channel is quite new because, I believe after this trial more woman will want to be attorneys etc. And a lot more people are fascinated by the law and court system, esp jury reactions! And a lot more people are aware of male survivors of DV, I will continue to check in daily, I love her take on the trial and her enormous sense of humor! When Elaine's first "Hearsay! Foundation!" spell fails and Depp and Chew start laughing, guaranteed they discussed this with Depp prior and predicted it would happen.
This series has really helped me appreciate the intricacies and semantics of US law. At the same time though, it also makes me question the hearsay rule a bit to see them have to jump through these elaborate semantic hoops to get basic information across.
It seems to me you could add all the hearsay evidence to the record in a separate category and instruct the jury to take it all with a healthy dose of salt as opposed to any direct testimony.
