loved this game! easily one of my top indie games. the story really drew me in and i loved every second of it. these story-rich immersive games are so satisfying!
I've actually missed several collectables, despite trying to go everywhere possible. It really isn't as simple as it may first appear. Luckily after you beat the story you can select chapters to replay and it tells you which collectables you have and still need. Some chapters took me a long time so if the one collectable I need is near the end, it's kinda annoying that I have to go aaaaall the way through the chapter, but it's not the longest thing in the world.
Finished this a few days back, a masterpiece to say the least. Just finished reviewing it due to how much it surprised me in terms of quality and delivery. A 'few' minor glitches but nothing gamebreaking.
Love this game playing it right now and can’t wait to finish it but also will be a little sad I love it, mainly enjoy reading all the notes and documents furthering the story on and it keeps me wanting to know more ! All around great quality game 💯
I think Cocoon was created by the same team who made Inside and Limbo previously. All great games that earned me lots of points after playing them on gamepass!
Just finished 100 percenting the game, and I can say it's nothing short of incredible. These kinds of games will make the art of video-games great once again. We don't need carbon-copy money-vacuuming triple A titles. We need THIS. Such a unique story, and the visuals and music are incredibly pleasing. It's short, but sweet. And the baby ballast was very adorable. 5/5 Gave me the feels at the end ^.^
A must play if you already have Gamepass Short and sweet The game looks great with vivid colors, and the music is soothing with some AMR sounds throughout the gameplay. The climbing is the Highlight here and the world itself. It reminds me of Kena: Bridge of Spirits in a way
fantastic game easy one of the best this year and thats saying alot , and tbh i seems to have grown fond of these linier games , ie scorn , jusant ect that clear path forward and just focusing on the gameplay music and story is a whole lot of fun
I “finished” the game, but I’d blundered into a weird area earlier that I can’t now find. More climbing and swinging is required, apparently. More exploring to do.
@@makasete30 speak for yourself I’ve always enjoyed Xbox exclusives even the bad ones like Ryse and crackdown 3 are fun. I love gears of war so that’s always exciting and horde and multiplayer is endless fun. I love halo campaigns and multiplayer so I’ll replay campaigns and jump into multiplayer on infinite (firefight is amazing can’t wait for it to matchmaking) and MCC. I always jump into to forza horizon the eliminator mode is always a good time. If I’m itching for co-op you can’t find much better than sea of thieves even stuff like state of decay is good. Xbox has some good exclusives they just aren’t everyone’s cup of tea. They kind of target certain genres and do it up. I do love both though but I’m still playing starfield between spiderman 2
Finally a game on consoles about realistic climbing! I'm enjoying it a lot and I hope it sparks interest in other developers to give us similar games. Too bad Jusant is not a bit more complex with better gear to unlock, gaining more stamina, a free climbing mode or maybe an editior to make your own climbing walls to share with people.
It's a lovely game but definitely not worth the asking price for how short it is and for how easy it is. I wish there was some level of challenge. There is no way to fail. No reason to feel afraid of climbing. No risk. It is a very relaxing game. The atmosphere and art direction is gorgeous but telling the story through notes just feels very lazy. Considering you are doing so much walking and climbing i'd have loved them to have put the notes into audio clips that would play as you climb. I also wish they had made more of a challenge and reason to replay. A randomly generated climb using the same mechanics would be fantastic for example. Considering this is half the price of Alan Wake..... its really not offering much outside of its pretty aesthetic. The climbing mechanics aren't really anything you can't get in the latest Tomb Raider game as well. Played it for 90 minutes and refunded. I really wanted to love it and i agree with most of your review but its simply not enough for the current price when there are so many other titles that offer way more value out there right now. It feels like the sort of game that will be free on Epic at some point.
Thank you. Your critiques are exactly what I was worried about when I first saw it. I love games like Short Hike but this seems like one with much less replay value.
Yeah they do but I never really found it bothered me as much as it should off cus the game is just so wonderful only issue it has but for an indie team I am delighted with what they were able to do I’ll play anything else they release definitely
It's like we're not allowed to point right at a game and say, "That game is boring." Lotsa good things to say about Jusant. Unfortunately, it's boring.
Luckily nowadays we have websites like HLTB so we can check when people are outright lying in comments. This game is 4 hours long for main story, 5 hours for main+side content. Also, ever heard of gamepass?
Great game! But you ever noticed how all these post apocalyptic games have "gender neutral" characters? Which came first? The goofy "non binary" garbage or the apocalypse? I have a strong feeling that when society pretends to be totally indifferent to gender, it contributes to the downfall of society. Just a little thing that I noticed..!😊
This ain’t nothing but a poor man’s death stranding. How can we give this a pass & everyone shit on Death Stranding? Isn’t this just platforming & overcoming obstacles?
Platforming and overcoming obstacles = Death Stranding in your mind? Crazy how Nintendo used their time machine to steal those mechanics from the future. 🤣
Played this blind last night and dear god, these are the kinds of creative next gen titles I want to see, it’s wonderful

Stunning global illumination on PC with Lumen maxed out. And the audio is so detailed, I highly recommend using headphones.

@@nelsongallegos6899 around 2 to 3 hours if one were to take their time to read all the collectibles and enjoy the atmosphere of it 🙂
