Another excellent video from Ladislas!! Can you tell us why Panama there is so illiquid?? What's the story with the State of Emergency and migration issue??
I wrote about the whole state of emergency issue in the newsletter when introducing this video. You should sign up. It’s free. Migation: non issue. They just pass through on their way north
What about the current political unrest in Panama involving mass protests over the environmental impacts of a proposed copper mine and also the on going drought?
The problem I see with much of Panama is the housing prices. They are charging US coastal prices when they aren't the US. You're looking at a country of about 4.5 million people with maybe 1 million tourist a year. Of them, how many can afford to buy a US priced home? How many of the tourists are looking for a home in Panama, let alone a home in the area that this overpriced home is in? This is why you will see homes on the market for many years. If you want a home in Panama, you are much better off spending a few years finding property and building. It will cost you 20-25% of what people are asking for on a finished home.

I love Boquete! ❤😂
Well Said-- I own a farm near Boquete. Many properties sit on market for 1 year or more ( even in core areas).
Very good info. Love Boquette.
thanks Ladislas...i'm following up on the different leads you gave me. all very helpful, including this video
Excellent recap. I may reach out for a 4-6 week visit.
It's actually western Panama (as a country) and Norther Chiriqui (province).

@@TheWanderingInvestor Can you discuss why Panama is so illiquid??
@@TheWanderingInvestor Where do I find the newsletters again?
@@dovygoodguy1296 It’s just the nature of it. Like most of Latin America.

Nice one!
Thank you 😊

Very good presentation. It does bother me about the Chinese investment, (In David). The CCP has its eyes on the Panama Canal.

Let's say you have 100k cash, where would you buy right now and why?
Btw very insightful videos! Would be curious about El Salvador (coastline)
Thanks. Going to El Salvador next month 👍
@@TheWanderingInvestor The El Salvador v, Panama debate is the real question. The real estate in both are much higher than I expected.
All real estate is a good investment if you buy it at the right price. For me it would be 40% below market value.
Only thing I don't like about Panama is the bugs.
So true. The bugs in around Cochea are so bad 😅. In Boquete it’s ok though 👍
It is so overpriced in Panama, go to Turkey for a deal
Islamic Country 👎
Yes but Turkey is... Turkey. 😕
safe economy 😮😂
Sure it is, but not right now.
Wait.. I just said "not right now", but what if the prices go down?... Mmm i would consider it..
