This is the first episode of Yugioh Master Duel Masochist: a challenge that forces master duel to be played with the least amount of master packs possible. This is by far the most difficult way to play yugioh master duel. This is like the pokemon nuzlock of yugioh. All credit goes to Cimo for inventing this.

Dimension Slice actually triggers when YOU summon a monster. It just becomes a hand trap if the summon’s an Xyz summon.
I really like seeing another guy taking on this challenge & I also really like you giving Cimooooo credit for it! :D

Prime Material Falcon is a card that'd be "Okay for now" as it'll protect your Floodgate, and has a 1 tribute 2200 stat line, and you have a few monsters that you don't want to keep on the board so tributing them isn't bad.
Dimension slash couldve saved you in the blue eyes game its good removal specially with speedroid and cubic seed please read it again.

Dimension slice banishes any monster your opponent controls fyi, the xyz part of the card text is irrelevant

I would absolutely play the Prime Material Falcon, a 2200 1-tribute monster that can situationally protect the all-important TKBOO over the Gravekeeper's Visionary, a 2-tribute 2000 attack do nothing.
Also that Crooked Cook match was a heartbreaker. There's a chance you could've won if you'd banished the Cook instead of the Crazy Box and the Box missed it's 1/6 chance to remove the Sargasso. We'll never know for sure though.

Bro, please re-read Dimension Slice! At around 1:10:09 against the blue eyes Player, you could have Set and used it when Special summoning your machine Guy after taking Battle damage (or when you specialed the spellcaster from GY) and banished the Kaiser Glider...
The Card has synergy with XYZ summoning to your field but still could activate and banish a face Up Card of your opponent whenever you Special summonn ANYTHING to your field!

Prime Material could actually be used to protect There Can Be Only One, especially if you have dead cards in hand.
I think someone else already mentioned Dimension Slice being better than you gave it credit for.
I'd suggest playing Scrap Mind Reader. Not because it is good, but because it is a normal summonable body, which your deck needs more of. Until you get more level 4 or lower monsters, being picky isn't really an option. Especially if you're playing Queen's Double. Blizzard and Pathfinder should be used for the same reasons. Since they actually have bodies with acceptable attack at this point.

To avoid the downsides of The Empress and other AF cards, you can set them. They dont activate if flipped face up or Flip Summoned.
I believe the Empress text just says summoned, not normal summoned. Meaning that flip summoning still activates the effects.

@@fortidogi8620 It's one of those legal semantics level quirks of the game that can make Yugioh annoying sometimes. Also, I believe your original comment was half right. Being flipped face up by getting attacked while set shouldn't trigger the coin flip, but honestly I'm not sure.
@gododoof you are correct. I know this interaction from the card arcana force 0- the fool. It can't be destroyed by battle, however can't be changed to defense position except by a card effect, then has the honestly irrelevant arcana force heads/tails effect gimmick. The reason you would set the fool is to get around the "can't be switched to defense" effect and have a monster in defense position that can't be destroyed by battle. When an opponents monster would attack into the fool the heads/tails effect would not occur because a monster being flipped from an attack is not treated a flip summon, but is still treated as being flipped so FLIP monsters still activate their effects, but arcana force and other monsters that have effects when summoned do not

This was a solid video! You got destroyed by those packs, but it was fun to watch.
25:10 That trap card is nasty against Labrynth. You can even set up a Vanity's End combo with it too.
Like you play this, then they panic and activate every face down card possible, the you flip vanity's end and BOOM. Everything in the chain is negated and destroyed. It's a beautiful thing to watch.

Stumbled across your channel after I started my own run. I had insane luck on the first 6 packs, got tcboo and archnemes protos. Needless to say, protos carried very hard into silver. Very interested to see how your run continues!
dimension slice is not specific . If you specail summon a monster then target and banish a opponents monster.
The next line only says if you xyz summon you can use it the turn you set it.
You don't need to use a xyz's monster nor do you have to target one.

Oh, you might have misread dimension slice. It works on any face up monster when you special summon, but if you special summon an xyz you get an additional effect. So it's generic as long as you can special summon
The name being credit cimo is absolutely sending me.
I think your reading dimension slice incorrectly, it doesn’t require your opponent to xyz summon, the xyz summon benefit is just for if you xyz summon, it lets you can activate it on the same turn you set it, otherwise it works the same as any normal trap

Vijam is one of the most underrated cards in ygo. Ive played a lot of cubics and if you have no intention of otking with the deck, it can be insanely versatile as an indestructible negate. Obviously you aren’t going to run a zeus package but its also convenient as a lvl.1 because it can be overlayed into lyrilusc and attack directly and make a zues play live and even better with downerd magician. Only bad decks lose to it but ive won a few matches here and there simply because they couldn’t get through a vijam

Dimension slice is not if a XYZ is summon but when any monster is summon to your side of the field banish a monster is very good.
You play all the cards in the legacy packs, all of those are very good

Ive done this challenge on one of my accounts, however I used the free packs you can get from selections and premiered secret packs to start my deck with, then only one master pack for each victory, each rank up i can do one of the solo modes to get some staples however when possible I have to use my deck whenever possible.
Finally someone else doing masochist it's just pure chaos

I'm not sure why you didn't set dimension slice immediately in the blue eyes game
I was afraid of stamping destruction (500 burn damage) since my life points were low. Also, I thought it only worked on xyz monsters.
You can also out crooked cook with big bang shot and piercing
When crooked cook was summoned I chortled at the fact you hard drew the field spell. Then I was scared you would scoop without realizing when you said you had no outs to cook.
Edit: and the greed not just sitting on vijam till your opponent outed it. Imagine if you had the kuraz after the raigeki.
I bet theres going to be some guy who's been playing yugioh for like 5 years, and just started playing master duel and this cobbled together deck is what he'll face in his first duel

Against the salamangreat player, one thing you could have done is bait the decode talker negate. You had a Pendulum monster in hand and the pendulum storm. If they negated, decode talker atk would have sunk to below kuraz, and maybe you would have been able to destroy it without having the opponent draw. I think one of the major hurdle in this kind of series is understanding that your opponent have no idea what you have or are trying to do, and so might get scared of "do nothing plays", especially in early ladder when facing players who may not be as familiar with the game and are prone to misplay.
You can play planetary pathfinder to get sargasso to your hand if you need it
Dimension slice foes not destroy xyz, it destroys any monster, with bonus effects if it is a xyz
You probably realised now but in future if you sre plsying around mirror force or a tribute monster woth higher ststs that what you have, play around the tribute.
Blue eyes, red eyes, and dark magican are the common ones, but odds off them getting mirror force vs tribute card is smaller
