- Every time that you get a Super or Ultra Rare card in Master Duel it has a 1% chance of turning into a Royal Rare. After almost two years of opening packs and crafting cards, both @MBTYuGiOh and I finally have made it to 40 main deck Royal Rares! Today we’re going to find out what happens if we play a match using only that rarity cards! Welcome to Royal Rares only!

The homie drop thing comes from fighting games (dropping a combo before killing your opponent), both Seereax and Rhyme use that term a lot even in the context of Yu-Gi-Oh!
Exactly what I was thinking, they still say homie drop even when playing yugioh, probably where farfa heard it, and mbt thought he misheard it. Love the 3 idiots lol

I feel like it is 18 years ago and I'm watching a game at locals. Very little synergy, big swings in momentum and lots of surprises. Good times.
Also I have heard "homie drop" used in the fighting game community wherein you would "drop" your combo to keep your opponent alive. Fun fact, this bit of lingual tomfoolery is known as an "egg corn." Both are correct depending on context in YuGiOh

Honestly. This type of dueling is simply more entertaining to watch. It may be a bit slow and not as flashy but it's less predictable than just the "meta" way. Either way. Great duel. Always great content.

having mbt and doug having royal rares of aluber and albaz respectively is so poetic. Doug with the main character(it is his series after all) while mbt has the evil, much gayer one. it's so fitting and beautiful

This is making me think back to when i knew absolutely nothing about MD (or Yu-Gi-Oh in general) and only wanted dust so i dusted both a Royal Linkuriboh, and Danger! Bigfoot
I dusted a royal fenrir but because i pulled 3 and wanted the free dust
I mean as cool as they are, if you aint gonna use the royal rare its objectively better to dust it if you want to be as F2P as possible
but yeah, Linkuriboh is definitely not the one to dust even in that case 🤣

Its bittersweet seeing my baby Sauravis, my favorite card of all time, finally doing God's work in someone else's hands, but knowing that this is the context required for him to see play lolololol.
Most of the chat doesn't even know where that came from lol. SeeReax started that crazy phase with his homie draw with Rhyme and then it grew to other channels like with Sam. It's almost normal doing it now with friends and it is just out right fun to say.

I love how i have both a royal nib and a maxx c, but they would be pretty useless in this mode 😅
Maxx C might be able to get you one draw every so often, but Nibiru is just Blue-Eyes.

He's beautiful. I actually like Majesty over Master because I love his damage reflection and just messing up my opponent's graveyard mid combo.

Honestly this was a blast. It did feel like the duels i used to have with my little bro. Piles of nonsense shiny cards.
Loris is actually like the 2nd or 3rd best lady of lament. I run one copy on labrynth side (on paper and as 41th on MD) because she recycles traps from banish/grave and provides some utility by conditionally settings traps from grave.
If you play Lab on MD I highly recommend for you to try one singular copy. At worst its furniture fodder and at best summoned from field spell or Arianna draw.

Quite sure farfa didn't misheard anything. He heard homie drop from 3 idiots (Seereax/Rhymestyle/Doto) or TeamSamuraiX1 (Sam started using the term after his series with Deion). They used to play other fighting games and mostly dragonball games and the term comes from there.

I think Rhymestyle would have a godly deck. He has a ton of great cards with a Royal finish.
I have some that I love: I have Abominable Unchained Soul, Ice dragon's prison and both Evil twin Lila and KI-Sakill
Bagooska, Astrograph sorc, 2 multifakers and DD crow, I dont pull that many but when I do they are definitely good lol

The most interesting royals I have by far in this game is royal Salamangreat Gazelle, Spinny and Miragestallio.
But my royal luck in the game has been pretty bad for the past many months so I'm paying for that early luck
when their newer support drops in MD you gonna have a very cool looking competent deck
Salads are one of my all time favourite decks so Id love to have those

It is definitely "homie drop", as in, dropping a combo in a fighting game. It got popularized by The Three Idiots in YGO(who even got "Homie Drop" in some titles) and you can find videos of them saying it before playing YGO too!
Im not opposed to adapting to Homie Draw in the game(Smash even has a unique version of something similar, the HOMIE STOCK) but Homie Drop is right too.

Ascendant of thunder does NOT have a summoning condition. It has an unclassified (non-activated) effect to summon itself.
Ive been dismantling royals since the beginning, and only keep the truly best ones.
