"It's a solid boat" was said with a surprising amount of confidence I thought given its age and the state of it externally. The obligatory "I really like this boat" however came as less of a surprise.
Three years rent on a flat would cover the list price. So, if it lasts any longer, you're quids in! A home for the price of a mid range hatchback. What more could you want??
Boating costs a lot more than your flat would in extra costs. ofc you got your regular stuff - heating, water, electricity etc, but getting those on a boat is generally more expensive than in a regular flat, especially if you're moored up in a marina. If you're not in a marina, there's the extra fuel for cruising, license for using the canals and rivers and being allowed to moor and use their facilities etc.
I'll have to nip round and borrow your x-ray specs! How do you know it's not insulated? I am sure it will be insulated, most likely Rockwool at that vintage.
@@philelliott5327 Very thin walls when you look at the windows. Looks to me just about the right width for steel and plywood... Sorry 😞. Insulation takes up space. It would also explain the incredible inside space for the boat, it feels far more roomier side to side as well as deck to ceiling than most other boats.
@@tonysutton6559 I just checked the vid, the air inlets are on one side of the engine and the batteries on the other. It is a shame as there's wasted space in the living room, if you pull the bathroom and kitchen forward a little, say two feet then you would have enough space for a narrow single.

At asking price I would be more concerned with the structural integrity below waterline than above condition.
Not insulated at all I think, but indeed a nice layout, and a roomy shower.

Needs a lot of work, but only £29,950 so could make a nice project
30k plus 15 to modernise,not bad.still a bit early for me thyough
Rough as bags. But cheap so....
For the money this is the ideal first time ownership/project boat, needs a lot of work and could be really nice afterwards.
Looks a bit tired, would make a nice project.
Shame that rear seating area isn't a little bigger as it would make a place for a single bed.
It looks like there is a quarter berth on the starboard side with space for feet under the rear deck.
