That fixture is so cool to crimp. Amazing all the tools you have. Very nice tool to strip the wire. I don't handle wire that big but very cool. Thanks for the video.

It's always fun hitting things with a hammer haha! Thank you for checking it out. I really appreciate it.

Jon, you make that look so simple. You said that the device was set up for that wire. Does the device come with instructions? You make stripping wires look easy, but how hard is it to set up the tool?
Excuse me for asking, but if I need to replace the terminal ends, how would I know the correct size? Is it marked on the old one?
I never knew there were end covers that go on the ends of the cables that look to work better than electrical tape.

If you don't have calipers you can get a tape measure and hold it up to get real close, just be careful not to touch the + and - together! They're normally 1/4", 5/16", or 3/8". As for the wire, it usually tells you the gauge somewhere on the insulation, if not calipers would be best for that as well, but a tape measure will get you close if you don't have some.
I'm not sure if it came with instructions, the tool is spring loaded. You just strip the wire, insert the wire into the terminal, insert the terminal into the crimper and hammer away! Once you get the tool in your hands its real simple to figure it out. Thanks for checking out my video, and for the comment!
