As someone who has made a LOT of videos from race days, a LOT of what helps is NOT waiting to download videos til the end of the event.
Get them as you go when there is a break and make damn sure you have a backup and/or external drive to keep them on til you have finished your editing and got it uploaded.

Kills me when the crew guys stands ing the lane with his leg out till the last second for no damn reason. One of the days someone will get ran over. Some of these guys do so much for no reason.

Now I might be old and probably don't have a full understanding of no prep, but I used to street race myself, my question is what is the reason for the suspension in the front I get the idea of it weight transfer but doesn't it also cause wind drag? I always thought the less drag the better

The grass in the center of the lanes is stupid. Asking for trouble.
It used to go further down track past the starting line and it caused a lot of wrecks.
@daysdesigns it seemed to me that he did have a car fast enough to win with out guessing. His car was fast enough to when even with whiting on the light. He just got caught up in giving the other side too much credit. Race your lane and the capabilities of your car itself every time and your odds will be better in the end. That saying is not accurate every time, but it is most of the time and was this time. Congratulations on the winner, he raced his car on being as fast as it could be on that track and conditions and it paid off for him.

Man that shop has been putting out some fast ass cars. They had like 3 of the final 4 a couple weeks ago. Crazy how fast small tire has gotten this year and the level of car you need to win.

@jonathanjones1814 ya I unfortunately feel like with the level of cars being produced. If you don't have a promod basically your SOL. You think they eventually break the class up? It sucks because like a RaggedyAnn is going to struggle to keep up on a consistent basis.

I started going the drag strip back in the 70s and no one was allowed on the track, there must be 75-100 people standing on that track. Drag racing has sure went to shit...........

Went to the fall race and we left at midnight because they were just wasting time. Had 2-3 other classes that could have been run but they took a 45min intermission to run small tire again.
Could be a hell of a crowd pleasing event and they do OK but this just kills it for spectators. The wasted time is just horrible. When they come here its the same exact way. If NHRA can figure out how to keep race cars going down the track you would think someone would educate themselves on how they keep the program moving along and apply it. 🤷♂
Wow some people just don't fking get it , there is a LOT that goes on in-between racing, Car's Have to Cool down , chips have to be drawled for Each class, every class over and over , track cleaned EVERYTHING is planed out , but shit happens at these race's They raced ALLLL NIGHT , and got done at like 9 in the morning
@tommycook9620 no prep tracks don't get cleaned and when I went there were 2 other classes that could have been ran but no, just decided to have 45min of nothing going on
