To me, it’s not Friday night without Graham Norton. Best chat show on tv
THIS!
Seriously
Graham Norton is a gracious, super fun host ! One of the best ever.
Not one of the best...THE BEST
Worldwide the best,without doubt
Indeed, and the most overrated host ever🌻🌻
Everyone on GN’s show ALWAYS look like they are having a good time. Graham attributes it to the fact they have drinks in from of them but it is clearly the attention that Graham puts into making them feel comfortable and always trying to give equal time to each guest. And an excellent point that the interviewer makes is the guests often do start to engage with each other almost as though they are in someone’s living room. Graham never disappoints. He just appears to be the nicest fellow ever!
I wish our American Late Night shows would adopt the format of having multiple guests on the couch together. One of the things that makes this show so good is the unscripted interactions between the people on the couch.
Years ago it wasn't uncommon for multiple guests. I'm thinking The Tonight Show with Carson for example. I wonder if some of the hosts today with their egos would like that tho if the attention wasn't on them
James Cordon does, but he's terrible at it.
Well they’re actually not “unscripted” there’s a structure that is explained to the guest about certain anecdotes they might want to share, the talent of Graham is to smoothly follow that structure and connect every guest’s story onto the next one. I love him, he’s a great conversationalist, but his show is scripted somehow, and because of the format, I don’t think there’s any other way to do it ❤
@@alienmerman i might be misinterpreting, but i think they're talking about the non-format interactions: little quips, callbacks, observations, and the like. to that end, the format is exactly the thing that allows for the 'human' feel that's absent in most american late night; our stuff feels more like a commercial either because interactions are solely guest-host or because there's no foil for the advertisement
@@alienmerman yeah it's scripted in the sense that the guests know what stories they're going to be telling and what questions Graham will ask but the way they tell those stories and the way the other guests react/interact is completely unscripted which is what makes it so great and enjoyable
In the midst of Schoefield, Huw, Brand... this man is just a breath of fresh air and humour. Congrats Graham!
How good is Ben. A class above the others.
I was wondering who the ‚new‘ man is! Yes, A+
I really like Ben, I think he’s genuinely kind, thoughtful and kind. I wish he was on all the time. What a great guy.
Three cheers for Ben! Also, are you his agent?
@@boonsquits Nope. I just like him if that’s ok with you.
@@boobopish That's fine. Just genuinely looking for his agent.
@@boonsquits Well he’d be great as a permanent replacement to say Hammond, not so keen on her myself. Apparently she’s starting on bake off soon. For me, that’s great news.
I believe so too.
25 years, what a journey! I recall telling friends how good it was and their reaction "It's not to our tastes of humour" regardless I have been there through the many anticipated Miriam Margoyles shows to the Matt Damen "This is the best talk show I have ever been on!" Many memories and congratulations on Grahams milestone! It hasn't always been an easy view given I'm in Canada and the access ebbs and flows through out the years.
Graham is a treasure. He must be protected at all costs. Best show on TV!
I love Graham Norton so much.
Hes so lovely isnt he!! Loved him since the Father Ted days
I❤Graham! Such a beautiful class act.
Graham is the best late night host on TV. This is coming from an American.
Please give us non-American humble folk more of your opinions.
Your a right bundle of laughs aren't you love
@@katejones2172 me?
Graham Norton is the spitting image of GMTVs criminal psychologist David Wilson.
@katejones2172 *you're
I live abroad and watching the recording of The Graham Norton Show at the weekend is one of my highlights of the week. I believe I have watched every single episode ever 😂
Wow, 25 years. I think I’ve been watching him for most of that time. GN is the BEST talk show host ever.
Just agree with comments, Ben is just so good and professional. Should definitely get him to do this permanently👍
I agree, Ben is fabulous.
Graham is also an amazing author. I have read them all. Can highly recommend 😊
Agreed 😊
Graham is the best host ever. The red couch has had some truly memorable moments and guests always seem to have such a great time.
Anyone from the UK whose nightly bedtime routine during 2002 included watching Big Brother followed by V Graham Norton on Channel 4 has my approval.
Ben is just fabulous
More Ben & Graham Norton On This Morning. Both are great friendly people, & great host's .
Graham is the best on TV and such a kind man.
This morning should go to 6 mornings a week. 2 mornings each for Alison and Dermot; Josie and Craig; and Holly and either Ben or Craig. This would be best for the audience and least risky approach for the production.
The contrast between articulate Ben and Graham and the vacuous Holly was very stark in this clip.
Graham is my comfort TV. Because he’s been on so long, there are endless clips and compilations. They’re just delightful.
Graham is the BEST!!!!!!!!
Graham is a class act
I’ve always loved Graham Norton…even on Father Ted! But I have to say how great is Ben Shepherd…so natural. Will he be a regular on This Morning ?
Thank heavens we get this show in San Diego. Best ever!!
Graham is endlessly fascinating and charming. Whatta man!
I just pray Graham will live long and happy ❤
Give Ben the main host Job
Are you his agent?
I think they would be great together with Holly 😊
Graham Norton the best Irish presenter !!
Greatest talk show ever!! And hes an AMAZING interviewer.
Graham Norton is a TV great. Absolutely love his show, I can think of someone who looks at the monitor ngl 😄
I've noticed that this channel has opened the comments section, which has always been closed. Really glad !
And Happy to see Graham, been a fan since the beginning
As an American, Graham’s understanding and assessment talents are leaps above everyone else’s in the business
Looooooove Graham he far surpasses any late night host in America n our celebrities enjoy themselves our celebs n Britain’s all have a good time together
Just love Graham. He’s up there with our dear loved Terry Wogan & Parky ❤
Excellent interview from Ben and Holly.
I'm sorry but how utterly gorgeous is Ben Shephard!?
graham puts this image of tough guy but when he describes the people that are going to the sofa, he has seen everything they've done or at least know in details. he's great
Graham Norton deserves all the ❤
Hi, from Florida - Love your show, and Graham's too!
Ben needs to stay! He’s such a lovely endearing host x x
Hang on. Are you his agent?
I like Ben and Graham Norton, both lovely people. Ben should be a regular presenter on This Morning. He is genuine and sincere.
Because he is very good and natural with finding comedic moments in any situation
Graham is simply the best out there
Stephen Graham is promoting Boiling Point? I’m confused because that’s been on Netflix for about a year now. It was an interesting film.
It’s now a tv series
He’s so beloved!
Thanks so much for posting
Finally! Can’t wait for the new episode❤
Why are the replays blurred?
best talk show host ever, period!
He is just sooo good at this!
Love Graham's jumper!
I only discovered Graham around two years ago here in Pennsylvania... what a gem. Thank you for the endless laughs!
i love it when he has Tom hanks on
he's another regular guest i think..
greetings from south wales, uk...
Great questions!
Congratulations 🍾
I'm in Portugal and I love Graham. Have you realized he's younger than Ricky Gervais? Just a curiosity.
Love him ❤❤❤❤
Yes, Graham Norton, he was a, GOOD ONE, all along. It's me, Brittney. ❤
The best talk/chat show host anywhere! American talk hosts, take a lesson.
I watch Graham, too.
Graham to Ben…..you must have been on a game show 😂😂😂
LOVE GRAHAM
GOAT
Trust being a key word
I LOVE Ben ❤
Ben is simultaneously getting cooler and hotter as he gets older.
He seems like a sweetheart should give him the spot
The Graham Norton show is really a promotional show in disguise…every guest is either in a new movie, in a tv show, in a play or written a book….but he has a way of making that promotion and the guests enjoyable.
Isn't that what all such shows are?
@@jiminhartNo not in Australia..we have shows that are just talkback shows without promoting.
There are current affairs programs like that where I live, but talk shows featuring celebrities from the entertainment world are all promotional. The big late night shows in the US are promotional, too.
That’s effectively every talk show. Graham is here promoting his new show for example
It's not in disguise. He sometimes has to remind guests about the thing they're promoting because they get distracted by the conversation and forget to bring it up themselves. He talks about why they're there pretty directly sometimes. No one is pretending it's not for promotion.
Graham’s Norton show is on his Friday night
Has become a national treaure!
His show is so much better than the US shows.
As an American, Grahams talk show beats all of the American talk shows, with exception of the GREAT Johnny Carson
i do enjoy his show.
he only has entertainment people on though
mix it up a bit?
like they used to...?
❤❤❤❤
Idk about this Graham guy, But Larry is the king 👑.
He’s just a really cool dude…
GNS is the Best. Show. Ever!!
How camp is Ben Shepherd
A massive fan of Graham Norton show from India. Once I discovered this Gold mine in 2011 while casually surfing channels, I have never gone back to boring/fake American late night shows.
Although I am not a massive fan of the really old episodes of his.. Always felt creepy with those wierd dolls behind him. Also his jokes were not that "universal" a decade back.
Early year's.... his best regular guest was Joan Rivers
Mmm that male host has nice arms
Sat next to presenters such as Graham Norton and Ben Shepherd must humble you...
Gay Byrne let the couch talk years b4 Graham did & it always worked so well , Graham being irish would have grown up with Gay Byrne & late late Show so was definitely influenced by him , Ireland have had some greats to be fair , ..
Patrick Kielty is very good on The Late Late Show but Graham would have been a class act. He struck himself out of hosting that show because of how multi-dimensional it is in the sense that one minute you're having a laugh and it's all fun, and the next minute you could be talking to a woman whose daughter was killed in a car crash. You need to be both entertaining and have a serious side to you if you want to host that show, but I think he can do both. He grew up gay and Protestant in a country that was well under the jackboot of the Catholic church and where the bible would have been taken quite literally. He knows first-hand what it's like to be discriminated against, and had he become the host of The Late Late Show, that would've confirmed him as the face of what Ireland is now, which is a much more modern, progressive and accepting place than the country he was born into. He already is the face of modern Ireland, with or without the Late Late.
If Gay Byrne was the face of an Ireland that needed to catch up with the rest of the Western world and modernise, then Graham is the face of an Ireland that has caught up and modernised.
About letting the couch talk, I think that's rooted in a general consensus that in Ireland, everybody should be equal. It doesn't matter if you are the Taoiseach (Prime Minister), a Hollywood actor, or a bus driver from Ballyhaunis, you get equal treatment and you have as much to say as anyone else.
@@devenokearney8984 Although I love Graham & his quick wit I agree he would not b the right host for late late , Graham is fantastic at hosting his show which is lighthearted & doesn’t deal with serious issues … I’m not sure atall about Patrick Kielty being the right fit 4 late late either , Brendan O’ Connor should have been considered, or Derick Mooney both wonderful at what they do , just my opinion .., Although sometimes I think it’s time to scrap it … To be fair Ireland caught up with modern world quite some time ago …,
Love this man! I wish BBC America would bring his chat show back on. It’s the only intelligent chat show. US chat shows are absolute garbage and not very entertaining.
Yes Holly, "times have changed"
You used to have friends. Now you've stabbed them all in the back to save your own career.
Holly I am so sorry for all of the turbulence. I will always love Phil.. you are so funny and incredible on your own. Through covid I have fallen in love with you and phil. Meaning I laughed my butt off every day. Thank you for being you. I am a huge American fan always.
I like Ben Shephard
no mention of rdr 💔
I had a horrible feeling that TGNS had been moved over to ITV…. 😬 turns out he’s only doing Wheel of Fortune for them! Phew…
Showing clips of the Graham Norton Show that are blurred has to be the most ludicrous and most unnecessary thing I've seen in a long time. Just don't show the clips then. Beyond Ridiculous.
Graham is a great host, but it’s less essential viewing than it used to be for me, basically for the reasons Graham gave. There’s more emphasis on getting the big names on, who are only on to plug their latest book or film, compared to when he started when the joy was surprisingly entertaining but not always hugely famous guests. It’s all a little too smoothed out now.
"25 years on the sofa"
He doesn't sit on a sofa, He has a swivel chair, the guests sit on the sofa. Do your research!
pedant
@@juliansydney9819It is important. The swivel chair industry has suffered financial losses due to this confusion.
John Fury would be a good match with Hollie
Great to see holly back 😊
All HW does is oh Yes, Yes, thats Right, Ben knows how to do it, She knows Nothing , Get rid ITV, Ben, Allison 👍, Eamonn Ruth on Fridays👍, if it aint Broke dont Fix it for Fridays
Of the three late-night UK TV host shows I've seen, I only enjoy Graham Norton's show. I don't enjoy the other two guest hosts.
So basically he is famous for talking to famous people ????!!!!!!!!!!
exaggerations knows no bound
Graham Norton is the TRUE successor to Johnny Carson.
Zzzzzzzz
