Some pictures may be wrong (my bad). In the future i make a new one with all marine mammals.
Chilean Dolphin : wrong picture
Dusky dolphin : wrong picture
Atlantic Humpbacked Dolphin : wrong picture
Fraser dolphin : wrong picture
It's Fraser's Dolphin
@@ScienceAstronomyAndMorejust a simple error no need to say it like that
Dusky dolphins is ok
Wow i didn't know there are so many oreo flavoured dolphins beside the orcas
Amazing work. Thank you for making this
Fantastic! Very educational and entertaining.
I really enjoy this, thank you. I also enjoyed the same style video on whales too.
Thank you very much. I'm glad you liked it.
This was very informative thank you rissos dolphin killerwhale
Thanks
Commerson’s, hourglass and southern right whale dolphins are gorgeous! Can’t pick which one I like more.
I agree that southern right wale is something special
When I first heard about commerson and srw dolphins I was in awe of them...Ive always wanted to see Hector's dolphins but even now, I think I want to see the others more!
I love dolphins
THE killer Whales are THE Best
You can definitely see the intersection/pairing of social and water adaptation evolution effect they have had in people and design.
Atlantic spotted dolphin is my favorite. I like the spots, color, and shape.
Wow, amazing! There were at least 3 different types that SHOULD have the title of “false killer whale” in their names due to the resemblance to it; more so than the actual “false” killer whale. Their markings were strikingly similar to the the Killer Whale.
The "False killer whale" (Pseudorca crassidens) personally as a common name i call Thick-toothed dolphin. Are called "False killer whale" based on the structure of there skull not there outer appearance.
Hourglass dolphin very similar to orca
Such a beautiful creature they are....
Wow cool dolphins 🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬
5:20 for Orcinus Orca // killer whale\\
Die Wale und Delfine im Meer ist sehr schön ansehen ich finde ♥️♥️♥️♥️👍🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊Wale und Delfine sehr schöne Tiere
1st looks woww
I like all of those different types AKA species of Ocean Dolphins.
🐬
Pacific white-sided dolphin is my favorite dolphin.
The tucuxi dolphin is the only freshwater dolphin that belongs to ocean dolphin's species.
Orcas r my favourite
😮 has always been fascinated by dolphins. Proper strange that there are like so many of them. What a diverse species. . I see that they are intelligent but they have little freedom. Food for another animal.
I like the video but you mixed up Atlantic humpback dolphin (the photo shows an Australian humpback dolphin) and Chilean Dolphin (the photo shows dusky dolphin)
Sorry my bad.
The chilean dolphin shows Pacific whiteside dolphin
I watch this because in parts of my dream, I was taking care of a baby dolphin, and was trying to figure out what kind it was so I know where to release it
What about the Vaquita?! It's the most endangered animal in the world, with an estimated 4-22 left in existence they need more exposure and awareness so we can try to save them!
The Vaquita isnt a member of the dolphin family. It is a member of the Porpoise family.
Thats true
Go dolphin!
Wow, there's so many different varieties of dolphins! And this video responds to my previous comment on the whale video about why I wondered why killer whales & pilot whales were omitted or left out of the whale video. Yet still I didn't notice the beluga whale mentioned in either video. Perhaps it's counted as a porpoise & porpoises are considered as classified differently?
The Beluga is a species of it own.
They are the members along with the narwhal of the (Monodontidae) family.
That's why is considered as a separate species.
My favorite Dolphin species are six, there are:
1). Orcaella Heinsohni (Oceanic/Freshwater)
2). Platanista Gangetica (River)
3). Orcinus Orca (Oceanic)
4). Lagenorhynchus Acutus (Oceanic)
5). Stenella Coeruleoalba (Oceanic)
6). Sousa Chinensis (Oceanic).
My Favorite Dolphin is 2 species of Dolphins Orcas and Risso's Dolphin
Maybe beaked whale & porpoise can be included...
3:15 What are those? Hint:Those aren't Fraser's dolphins.
Why not include ALL dolphin species?
Jordan
What about the river dolphins?
The list is just oceanic dolphins, not river dolphins.
You used a pacific white sided dolphin picture instead of an actual chilean dolphin...
My bad
1:35 That's not a Chilean Dolphin
3:15 That's not a Fraser Dolphin
3:15 Then what are those?
Extra money 😂😂😂😂😂
Let's work on the music choice.
Look like something they play in school..
😇you must be kind to animals Giles Delhaye😇
snubfins never existed in human history until about 10 years ago.
Orchid are dolphin species and they are the biggest species of dolphins
I see the chilean dolphin and the picture is incorrect.
PPD: I a chilean
It's possible that some pictures are wrong. I'm not gonna deny it.
This video was pretty hard to make.
Isn't beluga a dolphin?
Nope. Beluga is classified in a other Genus.
Beluga's and Narwal's are in there own family (Monodontidae), there are other extinct species in this family, Beluga's and Narwal's are the only two living. DNA data put Beluga's and Narwal's more related to Porpoises-(Phocoenidae) than Dolphins-(Delphinidae). How ever all the species said do belong together in the superfamily-(Delphinoidea). Not to be confused with the Dophins scientific name (Delphinidae).
@@zebedeemadness2672 Yeah, the end -oid means similarity, resembling - not being same.
Superfamily... isn't there another name for the higher category, or is it that the similarity is closer, though not yet the proximity level of a biological family..
Also this brings to my mind that these categories are manmade - the nature, the natural can surprise us with something that doesn't fit in our classifications :)
@@timomastosalo I beleave the word Superfamily is the only variant, basically means closely related. Ofcourse we order, place organisms based on the evidence we have, and if it's proved other wise they are re-order, place based on what the new evidence shows. For example take the flea it wasn't known where it was to be place in the insect world, so was placed in it own group, how ever based on new DNA data it turns out the flea is basically a modified fly closely related to scorpion flies. Based on the scientific name of the Beluga maybe they was once considered a member of the dolphin, as (Delphinapterus) translates as Dolphin without fin, referring to the lack of dorsal fin. But i can't find the info that says whether they have or haven't been placed with Dolphins, a interesting fact between (Delphinidae) and (Monodontidae) is that (Delphinidae) have fully fused or partly fused neck vertebra depending on species. (Monodontidae) don't have fused neck vertebra giving them full independent head
movement with out twisting there body. (Monodontidae) also lack a dorsal fin to allow them to get close to the ice surface, but there is also two (Delphinidae) species Smooth back dolphins that lack the dorsal fin belonging in the genus (Lissodelphis).
@@zebedeemadness2672 What is the level above family, was it Class or Genus? I'm mainly interested here how super-family is diifferent from that - or is it that we don't know if we should place those animals to Family or Class (or whatever is the higher level), or if we should create a new level between them. But does it only appear with a few species.
i'm here because i just watched a video butchering a large look like dolphin 😢
Why is there a whale in your video i thought you showing me all kinds of dolphins and whales are not dolphins.
Wich one is a whale?
They're all cetaceans.
Gilles Delhaye I think he’s talking about the killer whale
Killer whales, false killer whales, pilot whales ect (basically members known as 'blackfish' ) are included in the dolphin family.
riverofdumbness dude orcas and pilot whales are dolphins!
You’re making up then dolphins
The "music" is just awful
