Will Ferrell at the Mattel CEO is a role reversal from his character in Stranger Than Fiction - who was himself a fictional character that meets his creator/author in the real world.
Yeah, but honestly these two make too many remarks while reacting and I think that makes them miss out on details they wouldn't have otherwise missed if they simply watched and held their remarks until the end of the trailer.
So an angle I wonder about...if "Barbieland" is like a "retirement" community, where all the Barbies (and Kens, Allans, Midges, etc) that were played with end up, after their owners grew up and grew out of playing with them. But they don't remember that part, only the personalities they were infused with during play. Margot's Barbie could be Gloria's old Barbie. And the weird things happening could be a reaction to how Barbie has become modernized...there are new Barbies with flat feet, adaptable tech, different body types, etc.
Can we just say all their outfits are so cute and colorful! They did a great job with showing off her wardrobe! 💗 Love that they are going to the real world, looking forward to this!

I just watched the Dua Lipa music video of the song that’s played during the Barbie trailer. The song is entertaining. The concept of the video is Dua arrives on set to film a music video for the song directed by Greta Gerwig who makes a cameo. I’m not sure if Greta actually directed the music video herself because no one is credited.

She's going to the real world, cause she's starting to think and act like a human.. so she's going to the real world to figure out why she's slowly becoming human in Barbie world
