Fun fact, the hug between Julie Andrews and Anne Hathaway was originally edited out of the film. Julie Andrews saw a preview and told the director to put the hug back in. He did because and I quote, when Julie Andrews tells you to do something you do it.
THEY CUT THAT OUT 😱😭!!! What?! That scene is one of the most endearing and touching moments in the film! Go Julie for getting them to put it back in! I am with him; if she told me to stare at a blank wall for hours, I would happily do so lol 🫡!
I agree. Lily was not a good friend. She was so mean to Mia. However, I also remember how immature kids could be in HS. They are still learning how to manage their emotions. That's not an excuse, but it makes a little more sense.
I actually think she was a good friend. As you said at that childish age it takes maturity to be a good one and Lily did apologise and even admitted she was initially jealous of Mia. Loved Lily's character as a kid and was shocked to find out nobody really likes her, lol.
The same director did this movie and Pretty Woman. That's why it has some of the same side characters. The "happens all the time" waiter was in Pretty Woman and he said the same line when she was trying to eat snails and it went flying.
When I was in high school, there was a kid would sit by the entrance to the lunchroom and play his harmonica every day. I don't know his name, the whole school knew him as "Harmonica Kid"
Hey, I don't have any fun facts about this movie but I just want to say I really enjoy your movie watch/review videos. I have insomnia and I've been watching these to try and get to sleep and it's been really relaxing so thank you for making them
Anne Hathaway said that she wants to do Princess Diaries 3. My thing is If they're gonna make this happen they need to hurry up because Julie Andrews isn't getting any younger. Also, do you think the 3rd movie should be a theatrical release or a Disney plus exclusive ?
Love this reaction! It made me go back and read the trivia on IMDB for this movie. So here’s a fun fact I learned! The song they were actually dancing to at the end was Like a Prayer by Madonna and people kept ruining the takes cuz they were mouthing the words 😂 Now I need to go back and watch that scene again!
That’s so funny!! I will totally be looking out for them next time! I always find it interesting to hear what they were actually listening to (if it’s not silent) vs. what is played in the movie! It makes sense why everyone seemed like they were having a blast in that scene!
Ahh yay! My fun fact is that the sequel is, no joke, one of my favorite rom-coms! I watched it so much growing up that I have parts of it memorized to this day! Such a fun little duo of films!
Ahh!! I love that!! I haven’t seen the sequel since I was a kid so I am looking forward to watching it! I am the same way with the Disney movie Starstruck! There is something so comforting about watching a film that you have seen a million times 💕!
I love these movies so much that I could never bring myself to read the books, especially knowing that Mia's dad died of BALL CANCER EDIT: He was rendered infertile by the ball cancer, he didn't die, I misremembered
Her father isn’t dead in the books. The dead dad thing is Disney. She grows up living in New York with her mom and spending summers with her dad and Grandmere in Europe. They do hide the whole royalty thing from her because it’s thought that eventually her dad would settle down with a wife and have a “proper family.” When Mia is 14, her dad gets testicular cancer and is rendered infertile. This is when the books start. Her dad reveals she is next in line for the throne and that her Grandmere is going to train her how to be a princess so she can start attending state functions. The Grandmere is a bossy (royal), French speaking, cigarette smoking, alcoholic, who schemes to get her way. Honestly, I get why Disney gave her a Mary Poppins grandma but the books are different enough to be a totally different story. Also with the book having other selfish characters and a New York setting, I feel like Lilly’s character fits into the books better.
Hello I like your commentary, so like i want to gove recommendations. 1. Belle (2013) its about a mixed British black woman in the 18th century and you may like it becahse you already reacted to Emma and Pride and Prejudice 2.
