Mercury Dimes are Actually Winged Liberty Head Dimes!

- In this video I talk about the winged liberty head dimes which are better known as mercury dimes. The mercury dimes were first minted in 1916 and were minted until 1945. The rarest or the mercury dime key date is the 1916d. The 1916 d mercury dime is worth a considerable amount of money. If you wanted to know where the d on the 1916 d mercury dime is its on the reverse on the bottom. There are other mercury dimes worth money so you should look through all of yours. A mercury dimes value is in its silver. Each mercury dime is 90% junk silver and is 1/14 of a troy ounce. Mercury dimes are very collectible and very fun to own. I will continue buying mercury dimes and searching through them for the mercury dimes key dates and hopefully I will score big on of these times. These silver dimes can be purchased online or at a local coin shop.

I love all my Mercury Dimes.
Thankfully i am still able to keep collecting them and adding to the pile.
When you see dates from 1920's, etc. it's unbelievable to think of what these coins have seen and the people who once held them, long gone.
I know some are over 100 years old!!! Unbelievable 🔥🐉
I have the 2016-W 1/10 oz 24K gold ‘Mercury Dime’. It is by far my favorite coin. Thanks for a great video! I was not aware of the official name - the Winged Liberty Head Dime.
yeah for sure and that is such a cool gold one! I am very jealous. I hope they do another one at some point 🔥🐉
Mmmmm mercs. One of my foundation coins. Can’t wait for premiums to drop back down!👍🏻👍🏻
yeah they are coming down a little bit 🔥🐉
@@SilverDragons47 I have the best winged liberty dime story you've ever heard! If you reply, I will tell you.
I have a 1916 D...wow‼️
really?!? 😮😮😮 that’s worth some money!!! 🔥🐉
*Silver Dragons*- these may not be Mercury Dimes
*SpegTacular*- they’re real 90% silver I tested them
*Silver Dragons* - whoops 😬
lol it’s amazing that magnet coin was real! 😮
Recently found out the US mint in 2016 made a 100th anniversary 1/10 oz gold mercury dime. Anyone with a merc dime collection should try and get one of those to crown their stack!
The Winged Liberty Head dimes are my favorite. I love collecting them. Great video!
oh for sure they are some of my favs!!! 🔥🐉
@@SilverDragons47 I just picked up 6 dimes in really good shape at an antique. I might have over paid, but I liked them.
In my top 3 favorite designs of coins. They truly are beautiful.
yes stunning for sure!!! 🔥🐉
The merc is my favorite design of all coinage
oh yeah so beautiful!!! 🔥🐉
If you stack them, you should look into getting one of the 2016 100th anniversary 1/10oz gold mercury dime to crown your collection :)
I’ve already looked at them I just couldn’t pay 399 for a 1/10 oz gold I had that thing in my cart for about 2 weeks debating buying it. Instead I bought 2X 1/10 gold kooks 🤷♂️ it’s the stacker in me I guess
@@savagestacker JM bullion recently had PCGS70 ones up for about 300, and you can find them on ebay for 250-300 as well.
Dragons, you know these are your favorite dimes, you can't deny it anymore!🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hey I have I question.., what’s the best tubes to stack regular silver rounds? Also what’s a good tube for stacking coins in capsules already.? Just trying to figure out what to get. Example I have the black panther in a capsule something for those and a 1/10 oz maple black ring air tite. What are my options.? Thanks so much for everything. Keep staking!!!
Where is the best place to find constitutional silver? It is all at least 15x online and my LSC doesn’t have any. I did just get 1 1964 Kennedy and 8 65-69 Kennedy’s. I want more.
One thing that you didn't mention was that the wings on the cap was intended to symbolize "freedom of thought ".
yes for sure! it’s a great design 🔥🐉
i haven't been stacking long but i'm already hooked on 90% silver.
it’s a great thing to be buying!!! 🔥🐉
The Winged Liberty (Mercury) obverse is on the American Palladium Eagle (Though that's one most of us are unlikely to see often).
oh yeah is that every single one? 🔥🐉
Merc.is my favorite dime design and their one of the best 90% to get for fractional silver..
oh yeah so beautiful for sure!!! 🔥🐉
Jonathan Reese I’m like you with walkers with the merc it’s my favorite coin design
I always wondered why people called it a mercury dime
Probably because it looks like images of Hermes or Mercury the messenger of the Gods.
exactly the Roman god Mercury 🔥🐉
I need to get those!
they are great for sure!!! 🔥🐉

Hey brother. Did you get my care package? There may be a Merc or two in there ;-)

I have a database of all my coins, and I happen to have a 1917D "Mercury". I've noted on my database that it is Rare so on some long winter day (or Covid stay-home day), when I'm looking at my stack more carefully, I'll check to see how that particular one looks 🤠
yeah they have a little premium on them for sure! look it up on Ebay 🔥🐉
Mercs are one of my favorites! They are beautiful and a pretty good way to stack fractional silver!
