Hi Jonathon. I'm curious to know what your thinking is with running a Max Grip on the rear and a Max Terra on the front? I would have thought to do it the other way around. I'm wanting to fit Assegais to my E-bike but was thinking Max grip up front, for grip, and Max Terra at the rear for more durability, being the drive tyre. Curious to hear your thoughts, and why you went the other way around. On a side note. I recently returned to mountain biking after a long break. I was watching a World Wide Cyclery video where they mentioned taking over the mtb podcast. I didn't know of the podcast at that point, so decided to listen to them all from episode 1. Sort of a useful way to catch up on the things I have missed in bike development in my time away. I just got to the episode where you guys brought WWC in as a sponsor. So just wanted to say I know you and Stephen had to give it up, but I'm still learning lots and enjoying catching up on the archive episodes.

Awesome bike check! I just grabbed a 2022 SB130 T2 and am stoked to ride it. That’s awesome you rip this at the bike park; Do you like how this bike feels in the air? I’m wondering if I need to keep my 2020 Transition Patrol around for park duty or if the SB130 is all I need..
Wow! You are the first rider I come across, besides myself, that is using a Triathlon bike saddle. Have you ever had the metal frame of the saddle hurt you in a crash? How long have you had this saddle??
I've read some destroy Industry Nine hydra hubs. But some a big strong riders destroying several others, some destroy Dt Swiss. But most people consider these hubs as reliable. But Hope pro4 seems to be one of those that seem to not be destroyed much, not read anything about it currently using hope pro4 myself, not had an issue. But I am looking for better engagement, and silence, so Onyx is interesting, but I see Vesper hub is not reccomend for Norwegian style trail riding, a dude contacted them and they said the classic hub is more suitable, but I see a youtu e managed to crush the sprag clutch, but got it warrantied, so not sure what to get, I want the most reliable, best engagement, but so far I'm not sure what to get, but I think I should just chnage to wider rims. Try different tyres, and see what I should get for hubs later.
You mentioned that you switch over to Rekons for light-duty trail work. What sizes of Rekons are you running? I’ve been wondering if I can squeeze a 2.6 in the rear… Right now I have a 2.4 rear
Nice video!! I did demo the SB130 and absolutely loved it! I really loved how it climbed and overall pedal efficiency. However, in the end, I got a good deal on a V1 Ripmo and went with that instead, which is also a great bike. Interestingly, I heard someone state that they reached their limits with the V1 Ripmo and switched to a SB150. I thought they were similar bikes? What makes the SB150 different than the Ripmo? Is it more Enduro-centric?
Great Bike check and even better looking bike! Question about the tires - Is there something to running Maxxterra up front and MaxxGrip out back? Something that is normally ran the other way around. Thanks in advance. Cheers!
Great video. I am torn between the SB115 and SB130. Going back and forth on: How much faster is SB115.....and can it handle very gnarly stuff for maybe 15% of what i ride?
My plan is to do the same with mine. I have no faith in DPX2 and plan to have a SD ultimate with Megneg as soon as possible. Havent hit a trail and the shock is listed on FB. Glad to hear you enjoy it on switch infinity.
You run quite low pressures you åate probably quite light then, I am 86kg fully kitted but do alot of aggressive riding, urban riding too, drops, rough trails, so I managed to flatspot a rim with Cush Core Pro, I had too little pressure so I increased it to 26psi rear 24 front, cus closer to 20s and I would smash the rim, on drops, if I landed on a rock or in this case a steel support wall in a city plaza. 😁 That wa shope enduro 29, but I have spares and want to try wider rims, considering 25mm rear 30 front. It's a enduro bike so quite different, alot heavier bike around 17 to 19 kg depending on tyres, lights
I think it would be! But it depends on the terrain you plan to ride. If you only plan to ride smooth, non-mountainous terrain, you could also do really well with something in the 110-120 travel category like the SB115
Came from BKXC's video from 2016. Your bikes are always so dialed -- super impressed
Awesome setup. Can’t wait to see what you put together for your 2021 XC Race bike!
Great narration brotha! Really enjoyed it.
Thanks, Craig!

You should try the Elevensix rear shock from Push Industries, it takes the SB130 to the next level.
I bet! Push makes great stuff

Nice bike. But can you tell me more about that water heater? Looking for an n+1. ;-)
It’s the latest 70 gallon high efficiency tank-based unit. I sprung for extra 20 gallons and didn’t look back. 😂

Thanks Miguel! They were simply what was available in those casing options. :(
2020 probz, amirite? 😜
@@JonathanLee7 Ah! Pfft, can't wait for this god forsaken year to end.
Be safe my friend and keep up the great content!
Great video. I am torn between the SB115 and SB130. Going back and forth on: How much faster is SB115.....and can it handle very gnarly stuff for maybe 15% of what i ride?
Why don’t you make vids anymore? Do you still have this SB130?
Youve mentioned mid support. Have you tried push shock? Its pretty awesome for mid support and their fork spring also very awesome.
I have, and they are really darn good! That said. I’m more of a fan of air than coil. Fits my more active/playful riding style a bit better.
Hi Johnathan, what are the specs of the rear shock? Looking to change out my Fox DPX2 as well. Thanks!
What was the thought behind not doing a lunch ride version? Is it because you had an SB150?
Your mic wasn't spread to stereo, I only hear you in mono from my left ear which is quite hard to handle.

isn't this that guy, that did that podcast?
Yes sir! Worldwide Cyclery is taking care of the MTB Podcast these days. 👍
Is 2021 model better than the previous year model? Thanks
Jonathan, what was that solution you mentioned that allows you to not run rim tape?
Hey if I am 5'9 should I get the medium I do have long arms. Thank you
As a road biker, would this be a good option for a first mtb? or do you recommend another model?
Thanks

There’s only audio in my left headphone
Glad you made it through such a challenging experience 😜
