Trying to understand the marvel cinematic universe is like trying to understand your maths homework at 3 in the morning.
That’s accurate😂it can get really confusing some times
Literally wht im going through at 3am rn
As a avid MCU fan and someone who understands where to start and how it works. I agree... it's basically like doing homework anyways. your analogy wasn't far off at all. lol
@@SeanShank87 you’ve just reminded me that I was gonna try and watch the entire MCU from phase 1. I think I gave up after hulk lmfaoo.
I did that recently, it actually makes you kinda realize some of the marvel mcu movies weren't as good as you remembered they were lol. I love the MCU but there's a lot decent amount of stale movies in it.@@Elkay26
I literally searched for "how to start marvel movies", because I started watching WandaVision and felt completely out of the loop. Really good video dude!
Thank you so much!! That’s exactly what this video is for, I’m so glad it was able to help you!
Thanks Man! I Was Literally Lost About Where To Begin And In What Order To Binge-watch All Of The MCU, Every Website/Guides Had Different Confusing Solutions... So I Trusted You & Went At It. Just Finished CA: The Winter Soldier, About To Watch Guardians Of The Galaxy Now... Absolutely Loving Marvel So Far! 🗿
That’s amazing!! So glad you’re enjoying so far, thanks for the kind words!!
Thanks a lot! This really helped me, you did a very clear explanation. Not complicated and straight to the point. I would appreciate it so much if you can do a part 2, but it’s okay if you can’t.
I’m so glad that you found it helpful!! I will make a part 2 eventually, I’m just trying to figure out a good time since Marvel is releasing content every week these days
this is a great video, for real! I've watched some of the MCU movies in the last couple of years but i finally decided to embark and watch them all. Wish me luck
That’s awesome!!! Good luck and I think you’re really going to enjoy!!
Yea im about halfway through the MCU movies... but it was adding up all this time because I thought it was like the comics lol 😆
Now everything finally makes sense with this video 🍿 👀
Dude this is sick🔥🔥... best explanation on UA-cam 💯 simple, informative, straight to the point 👉🏽
I appreciate that so much!! Thank you for the kind words :)
You have no idea how helpful this video was! THANK YOU SO MUCH!! ✨
My absolute pleasure!! That's just what this video is for - thanks for the kind words!
Hey man! A few months ago, (about to be a year) I started watching the mcu and I have to tell you, THANK YOU for helping me to watch this beautiful franchise😊 I still remember watching this video 8 times to understand😂
Absolutely!! I’m so glad this vido helped and I’m so glad you’ve been enjoying the MCU!!
UGHHH thank you so much!!! I needed this I keep seeing edits and I LOVE the cast but I needed a good guide THANKS
Of course!! So glad this video helped you!!
Just watched this to introduce some newbies into the MCU and they all agreed "Yeah . . .I think Ill give it a go" .......so job done......great video very clear
That’s so awesome!! And that’s exactly what this video is for - I’m so glad!! Thanks for sharing!
Hope you enjoyed the video! Please be sure to share this with others if you think they would enjoy it and learn from it as well!! Cheers~

edit: 2 weeks later and I just finished all the movies up to winter soldier. winter soldier has to be my favorite so far. it was mind blowing. i feel like I need a day to process everything that happened holy shit.
👍
@@AccessBlockbusters Also thank you so much for making this! I just finished Thor: The Dark World and I keep coming back to this video to find the next movie to watch!!
@@luvie2098of course!! I’m so glad you’re enjoying and glad the video could help!
Bruh I’ve watched most of marvel movies and I wanted to understand it more, you answered all of my question on point!! I wouldn’t mind if you did more videos and deeper dives into these videos!!
I appreciate that so much and I’m so glad I could help!! I’m trying to do as much as I can with the channel as time allows so hopefully I can keep making content! Thanks again!
Totally agree on most points except Agent Carter. It’s a small thing, but knowing who RL Jarvis is when he shows up in Endgame - no spoilers - was such a deep cut for fans. My little heart swelled. It also ties itself to Agents of Shield in later seasons, which was genius! Great video! 😊
Great point! In my mind, when thinking about people knew to the MCU, I didn’t know if it was worth it to add 2 seasons of television to 23 movies just for a reference in Endgame but I’ve heard great things!
@@AccessBlockbusters I had a few people new to MCU when watching ask - whose that guy and it was like - ohhhh let me tell you all about a little show called Agent Carter. Plus Peggy is a bad ass and I want to see her on my screen as much as possible. ❤️
Totally fair!!
@@AccessBlockbusters …heard great things?! You haven’t seen Agent Carter?! Oh my goodness. Get on it! Do a chronological timeline watch through of the entire MCU. I just did that… it’s great!
@@AccessBlockbusters Agent Carter and Agents of Shield are part of the MCU in the eyes of a lot of people. They are both soooo much worth watching. So much.
thank youu i wanna get into marvel and u helped me sm, i can’t wait to watch the movies
That’s so awesome!!! Hope you enjoy!!
Phases can also help keep someone from getting overwhelmed. And they can also be checkpoints.
Very true!
I just started playing marvel snap and got instantly hooked, I'm into card games but never had much interest in superheroes... Needless to say that game got me really interested in marvel, and now I'm quite excited to dive into the universe. Looking forward to my new obsession 😁 Excellent introduction video
That’s so awesome!! I may have to check out this game myself! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Awesome! Thank you!
Of course!!
This video is really really good. Seriously. Loved it.
Thank you so much!! I really appreciate it :)
This video is really well put together btw, moth other mcu explanation videos sort of just assume that you’ve been around for a while so it’s nice to see someone recognise what a true beginner is. Would you be able to do an updated one now that no way home is out?
I appreciate that very much!! I got a lot of questions from friends that I decided to make this and I’m glad I did - and yes, shh don’t tell anyone but part 2 may be out very very soon…
Never be tired of the intro
Absolutely
This vid has been very helpful…. Thanks for the upload
Of course!! I’m so glad it was helpful!
SUPER helpful!!! Thanks!
Of course!! Glad it was helpful!
Recently decided that i want to get into marvel stuff but i know nothing about it so this video really helped me with the cinematic universe
I’m so glad!! That’s exactly what this video is for! Glad you were helped by it!
i just finished the infinity saga and i'll watch the part 2 of this video now. again, thanks for help.
I am new to MCU and glad to be here. I have seen some movies like Iron Man, Black Panther, and about 2 others but I did not know they were related in any way. I am looking forward to this adventure.
Glad you’re here for the ride!! Hope you enjoy!
Great starter video, lol, luckily, I've been an MCU fan since the beginning, looking forward to seeing Black Widow Friday.
Also, thinking about doing a possible Black Widow spoiler livestream on my channel sometime soon, it'd be great to have you there on the panel, so just know that you got the invite! But it's just a thought at this moment.
Appreciate it as always!! And the BW livestream sounds awesome, schedule permitting I would be happy to be there for as long as I can but when you ahve concrete details, please do send an email at accessblockbusters@gmail.com or DM on instagram! I don't want to make promises I can't keep (👀) but if I can make it, I would be more than happy to join!
@@AccessBlockbusters Yeah for sure man, no worries if you can't do it, I totally get it you're busy, but a BW spoiler stream would be fun! Yes, gonna get a concrete day, and I'll definitely let you know!
NO BECAUSE the only reason im trying to learn more abt mcu is bc my bf rlly likes it. i just want to be able to understand what he geeks out about, thank you for giving me a start !!
Of course!! That’s exactly what this video is for I’m so glad that it gave you a place to start!
Thank you, now I don’t have to go through all the trouble of explaining it to my friends.
Of course! That’s exactly what the video is for!
THANK YOU!
Of course!!

i always knew what it was but not many specifics, I knew about stuff like thanks but not much
I’m watching this video to find out more because after despising superhero movies and action movies I watched wandavision not knowing it was part of the mcu and i LOVED it so much and i want to know where to start
Amazing I’m so glad you’re jumping on the ride!! WandaVision is awesome I’m so glad you enjoyed it! I hope you found the video helpful!
I so regret not watching the mcu sooner. I hope I could catch up with the others.
Better late than never! Hope you enjoy the worse!
Hey amazing video. I just watched eternals and was really confused.
Awesome!! Glad the video helped
Thank you so much!! I've never dared to start watching those because it was overwhelming to not know where to start. I can't seem to find the first iron man on disney+ tho
No problem!! I hope you enjoy the journey - that’s interesting about the first Iron Man. It should be there… 2008? It should be in the US and most other countries… I hope you can find it!
@@AccessBlockbusters maybe its because im not from the US idk..
u just saved my ass thank u sm i enjoyed this video
I’m so glad I could help!!
I got info from this (just got curious, I’m currently watching them) but I won’t lit half way through the video began to hurt my head lol
I don't blame you, it's a lot - but I'm glad you were able to get something out of this!
4:33 order
👍
hey your content is really great why do you have so few subscribers
I appreciate that so much!! Just trying to make videos that are entertaining but also informative and helpful - we're on our way to 1K subscribers, I can't complain! Thanks for the support!
I prefer to watch in chronological order. Plus the Hulk movie does fit into the timeline in a way. At the end the movie, Tony stark approaches General Ross, I'm assuming, about the Avengers initiative.
Fair enough! It is starting to become more relevant for sure. And if you prefer chronological, go for it, though at this point in 2022, the exact timeline order is a little hazy but for Phases 1-3, definitely doable
And I thought the Fate series was confusing. But seriously, thanks for the vid. It helps me have a roadmap on what order to watch the movies and what the MCU is.
Of course!! So glad the video was helpful!!
Good job explaining. I always found the sony spiderman universe quite confusing. Which movies are part of the sony spiderman
Universe and do any of those appear in the mcu?
Does spiderman into the spiderverse have nothing to do with the mcu?
Good question! If you're just starting out with the MCU and the Infinity Saga, no, the other Spider-Man films do not have any relevance to the MCU. Only Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home. However, once you finish the Infinity Saga, you can check out Part 2 of this series that I just released, where I talk about what's going on with the older films!
this video was incredibly helpful and ticked so many of my boxes the only questions i have are
. do i need to have read any of the comics?
. do i need to have watched any of the cartoon shows which aired on like cartoon network or are those not canon?
. why do certain characters get new people eg. the various ppl who played spiderman and this new captin america guy?
vid was super helpful tho!
I'm so glad you found the video helpful!! And I'd be more than happy to answer those questions :)
- nope! no comics knowledge necessary
- nope to the cartoon shows either. The only animated show (I explain in Part 2) that's part of the MCU is What If...? on Disney+. There might be more cartoon/animated shows eventually, but the key things to note are that they will have the "Marvel Studios" logo above them if they are important and they will be on Disney+
- that's an excellent question and there are many different reasons why this happens. I'll go through a few key ones that you mention. sometimes (like with any movie) the character needs to get recast because an actor doesn't want to play the role anymore. for example, in Iron Man 2, Don Cheadle plays War Machine instead of Terrence Howard and in the Avengers and beyond, Mark Ruffalo plays Hulk instead of Edward Norton. the second reason, regarding your point about Spider-Man, is that the franchise gets rebooted. the previous Spider-Man movies with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield were made before the MCU decided to be one giant universe and continuity and were made on their own. so now that the MCU has decided to tackle Spidey, they've cast their own guy, Tom Holland. Regarding Captain America, I'm not entirely sure what you mean although I have a suspicion. And if my suspicion is right, I would say to just enjoy the MCU and let it unfold and you'll realize why things change over time.
Hope this was helpful!! And hope that you enjoy going through the MCU!! Thanks for asking and for watching!
@@AccessBlockbusters thanks a lot this really helped!!
Also the Defenders characters and their series actually are part of the MCU, same with Agent Carter, and Cloak & Dagger, and Helstrom. They are actually confirmed as MCU AND canon.
See Part 2 :)
can you do a video talking about how to go about phase 4?
Yep!! It’s in the works and currently in development, hoping to have it out in the first quarter of this year!
Do u know where the other films are on net, fix? I mean the old Spider-Man movies because I believe part one and two are on it but the rest not
Good question!! With the Spider-Man films, it’s complicated because I think Sony has been giving them to different streaming platforms for many years and they don’t stay on any one for very long. They might have been on Netflix before, I don’t know if they still are
can you please do a part 2
I’ll do my best!!
@@AccessBlockbusters thank you very much!
I’ve watched some phase 4 movies and show but haven’t watched phase 1,2 or 3 if I start and watch iron man will I be confused
Great question! Since iron man is the beginning, you’d have to treat it as such. Obviously since you’ve seen some of the later movies and shows you might be confused, but you just have to treat iron man as the first chapter and you’ll fill in the gals until phase 4 if you watch 1-3.
Iron man is my fav... no you won't be confused lol if anything it will make this whole MCU thing a lot clearer 😅
how does the people know if there a post credit scene in a movie in Theaters ? and how does the Theater know ? what if the theatre cuts the movie at the credit scene and there is a post credit? how did they know ?
Good question. I don’t think theaters cut the movie ever until the entire credit sequence is done. As for the audience, Marvel has trained them to stay all the way until the end, so people just know now.
As a beginner I find very little reasons anywhere why not to watch them in chronological order. The only arguments you give are:
1. They havent been released in that order. 7:45
2. Cant tell cuz spoilers. 7:49
3. Characters may not be on screen for a while. 8:03
Non of these are convincing what so ever. I do however find a lot of analysis on how to watch in the correct order aka chronologicaly.
Hey if you’d like to watch them chronologically, be my guest! The other reason I’d say that’s not in the video is things do get retconned as the MCU goes along but go ahead with chronological if that helps you
Might sound crazy but im just watching them in a random order
Interesting! Might not have been my recommendation since it’s like watching episodes of a season of TV out of order but as long as it works for you!
It's complicated
Very true
Is it like important to watch all these movies to know about the story to watch avengers?
Can I watch avengers without watching all these movies?
The beauty of the MCU is that they usually give you enough information that no one movie feels too confusing even if you haven’t seen anything. However, I would use this analogy. If you’re watching a television season with 23 episodes, most likely you can start at episode 6 and be alright, or episode 14, 18, etc. however, you obviously wouldn’t get a lot of the nuance and character development - BUT you will understand the story. That’s probably the best way to describe it! If you watch Avengers first I’m sure you’ll be fine but there are a lot of subtleties that you’ll miss
I convinced my dad to watch marvel and he likes it now. Life goal achieved
That’s so awesome!! Good for you dad, I hope he enjoys!
For me to come back to 4:33
👍👍
So, with Spiderman's new lawyer, are we going back on the theory that Daredevil isn't MCU?
It I had to bet money on it, yes. I think D’Nofrio saying his Kingpin is the same is interesting but I also look at the fact that Mahershela Ali is now Blade and Jessica Henwick was considered for a role in Shang-Chi as well as Feige saying previously they were separate. BUT when I make a part 2, I’ll absolutely address it and I think that even if it’s not canon, it’ll go on the list of recommended watching (also because it’s awesome)
i am the "im already behind" type person...
No worries!!! That’s why I made this video!!
Soooo the order of marvel movies on disney plus is not correct??
It depends - I know they have a timeline/chronological order which puts the movies in order based on when in the objective timeline they take place. I wouldn’t recommend that. I’d recommend watching everything in release order and I don’t know if Disney plus has that or not. If not, you can always look up the release order online!
@@AccessBlockbusters thanks!
just in release order? But wont there be important details that will be in them in order.
If you’re asking if you will miss things by watching it release order, I don’t think so no. If they want to retcon things, they will fill you in in future movies
@@AccessBlockbusters Okay I think I will watch them in release order. I just watched Iron man, It was super cool. I'm excited for the rest of the movies
Awesome!! Enjoy the journey!
20:29
👍
can u update the order please 😅
Not sure what you mean by update the order since this is the order from the studio but I can try!
@@AccessBlockbustersthey said it for newer movies ig
Wellllll Daredevil is the mcu now
The character is! But the show? Who knows - Cox seemed to indicate otherwise (also I do address this in part 2 :))
“The winter falcon”
🙃🙃🙃
can anyone send the order in comments
Here’s the order for the Infinity Saga (Phases 1-3)!:
Iron Man
The Incredible Hulk
Iron Man 2
Thor
Captain America: The First Avenger
The Avengers
Iron Man 3
Thor: The Dark World
Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Guardians of the Galaxy
Avengers: Age of Ultron
Ant-Man
Captain America: Civil War
Doctor Strange
Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 2
Spider-Man: Homecoming
Thor: Ragnarok
Black Panther
Avengers: Infinity War
Ant-Man and the Wasp
Captain Marvel
Avengers: Endgame
Spider-Man: Far From Home
No disrespect but I completely disagree with agents of shield part, agents of shield is practically in every marvel movie, and is connected in every Marvel movie in some kind of way, I watched agents of shield shows, and it helped me a ton with the movies.. definitely watch agents of shield, there’s no marvel move that doesn’t have shield attached to it in some kind of way, can’t speak for everyone but Agents of shield help me out ALOT!
Totally fair! I think my point here was that if you didn't watch AoS, it's not like you'd be entirely lost - it may fill in gaps like where the Helicarrier came from in Age of Ultron, but it isn't the same as not watching Black Panther before Infinity War, for example. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!!
Don't agree with watching it in release order. I agree with watching it in chronilogical order with rules. Becuase once you get to loki things get crazy! Plus I ha e a much better order then this guy. I believe he has some very good points but you cant watch it one way and then change half way through to align with loki later on. I have a much more in depth list if any one is interested in
Totally fair! I’d just say though that if Feige and Marvel trusted us to watch it in the order that they released it in, including things like Loki, I think most people will be fine with release order. But just my thoughts!
Then give ur list
Iron man 3 you can also skip
Maybe - though I’d still watch it for the sake of completion!
@@AccessBlockbusters i guess but nothing important happens accept for iron man blowing up his suits then in the next movie they r back all of a sudden so it's kinda pointless to watch
All of this selling character rights bs would not exist if they just made animes instead of live action movies.
Interesting point. Not sure if Marvel was ever interested in anime but you might be right!
