Here we see he shot the satellite dish thing and it seems he's just a trigger happy oaf, but he was actually shooting out a distress beacon.

You know what's hilarious about this short? In almost every other bit of media, Reaper and Sombra don't get along very well. Most of the time Sombra is just doing Sombra things and annoying everyone because she can. This short is the only official bit of media I have seen where she and Reaper actually get along decently well and are respectful to each other. And it's only because they brought someone with them who is even more of a troll than Sombra. I can't believe they managed to write a decent character who can annoy the biggest annoyance other than Junkrat. This is great.

I just loved seeing the personalities from all three characters here, reaper as the efficient single-minded killer, just willing to shoot mauga on the spot, sombra the sassy and clever hacker and then mauga as the brawn with more brain than you’d expect
we need a cinematic show just for Mauga. not only is he built like the terminator with dual miniguns he also has the brains to back him up. the amount of untapped potential in this game infuriates me to no end.
I love how they did the reveal of the change to Sombra's translocator. It no longer teleported her after some time, and she had to use one that works as it does in game now. Perfection.

You COULD do it that way, but often it was used as a later-down-the-line get away just like in her short. With this one, she threw it and was immediately teleported when it vanished. Again I do understand you could do that with the old one, though this, to me, felt like a way to show the change in it.

Then when she used it to immediately teleport to the ship upon throwing it, a teleports her exactly like how the new translocator works, anyway I think they are correct when they say it was made to reflect that.
They can’t because the heroes, anti heroes and villians would have to fight eachother. If no one dies people would get upset. If people did die people would get upset.

Apart from that, I don't find that it would be entirely unreasonable for a series to be a separate but parallel canon. It'd make for an interesting show, and for the most part, people just want to see the characters in action more.
