Born in Canterbury but moved away in 1987, great to see the old Canterbury as it was. Totally different now
    sadly and for the worse

The saddest part is very little is left of our city’s history.same with London.

Another excellent video, Jeremy. WILKO and OROTHY ERKINS reflect the current mess the country is in. Sad really.

Canterbury has lost a lot of his old character, what with the redevelopment that happened in the early 2000s. I also think the loss of a lot of the old sole trader shops on the high street doesn't help.

Canterbury if you notice most of the Damage and Destruction was done towards the Eastern part of the city! It was en route to London overhead if the Luftwaffe aborted or abandoned there mission for any reason CANTERBURY was the most logical spot to Drop their payload for better lift or salvaging petrol also closer to the Channel if total failure was the result of the mission giving the pilot a better chance of being rescued than capture! So if you ever been in CANTERBURY you will notice how much different and post war the area is!! I think it may have been as recent as within the last 5 years an unexploded Bomb was found just outside the East Gate!! But yes the Old Town did see and have its share of The BLITZ during the War!!
