I went with my mother to take the written test. A man was standing at the desk and the clerk said, “well Mr *** you have managed to fail the test again. This makes it 12 times. Go home and study again and I’ll see you in a couple weeks.” My mom freaked out because she was afraid the test would be too hard. She went in and came out in 20-30 mins. She passed.

Some people can’t take tests but if you ask them the questions they’ll tell you the correct answers. Fear of failing I guess.

Yeah I live on the otherside of the planet and constantly hear about the "systemic racism" running rampant keeping people of color oppressed in the U.S, I didn't really believe it even before but now that I have been watching different court/law channels for the past month and seen the vast amount of lawyers/clerks/judges etc.. being people of color, all the doubt has been wiped clear..

No Shows In His courtroom get a " personal invite " via a bench warrant.! He doesn'gt seem to be swayed by others bad behaivior or their decisions decision to be noncompliant. He can sign a bench , like a check off sheet ! Judge Simpson is all so great kn keeping the rights of tbe people in making their restitution manageable for them also.. Just saw the comment "What is so special about raising your right hand?". Back before computers and databases, crimes were branded on a persons right hand to basically show to the court their criminal record. Each crime had a different brand symbol. Pretty clever i think

I could see failing it once but after that, come on, that test is all common sense. I've only heard his court do the waiver of conflict between prosecutor's office and public defender's office. Can you explain what that is? Are they talking like conflict of interest between the staff of the two offices? Like 'we don't think anyone from our office is related to anyone from the other office but if it comes out that one of the prosecutors' secretaries is second cousins with the wife of one of the PD's niece's stepbrother we would waive that' kinda thing? Or is it more a conflict regarding one of the clients of the PD's office or with a complaining witness or something like that?
She said she failed the written part twice, so she has to go back again and do the written and the driving test. I got my first license in Michigan, 1968 and they made me change a tire as part of the driving test!!! Thankfully they didn't ask me to parallel park as I am sure I would have failed. I really practiced at changing the tire though. I took driver's ed in high school and for the driving part, they had us change a tire. I didn't do so well as I didn't weigh enough to be able to get the lugs off, even when I jumped on the tire iron! Thankfully, I have had only one flat tire in my life and there were a bunch of men around who did it for me. Good luck to Janelle!!

Written test isn't very extensive at all. A few general category questions like signage, speed limits, lane markings, then a couple more involved ones like following distance, right of way. It probably revolves the specific questions. Simple multiple choice and you can miss one or two! Anyone over 12 has a good chance at passing the written (which is kinda ridiculous).

If you fail the driving test a certain # of times (for me in California it was 3) she said she failed 2 times so she had to take the written test again so clearly in Michigan it's 2 versus 3 in California for example.. so she did good on the parallel parking this time but failed for something else .. I failed my first driving test because my horn 📯 didn't work but that morning I honked at my mom to tell her to hurry so we wouldn't be late and had no idea I had honked my last honk on that horn
