- In today’s video we’ll be listening to a Papa Johns transportation manager explain the class A driving job position. Let me know your thoughts in the comment section. Trucking job opportunities are everywhere! #trucking #truckdriver
Papa John’s driver, ask me anythjng
Up to $83,000 for 70 hrs. per week ?
How much do you take home a week working usually? Also is OT consistent and how do you make with it
@@zahinchowdhury2976 so it’s not hourly pay, you’re paid per mile and piece you deliver. You’re required to do 3 routes a week, usually you’ll bid on routes, certain ones tend to have certain perks, either shorter routes or higher paid etc. in my location routes average between 18-24 hours (team driving so the truck is moving while you sleep). You can run an extra route for an extra base amount on top of your mile and piece pay, and that base amount is completely negotiable between you and management. They also won’t force you to run an extra route, and you’ll never get switched off your bidded route unless you agree to it. My take home is typically 1500-2100 without bonuses or 2000+ with bonuses. My biggest check so far in the less than a year I’ve been there was 3400 take home
@@zahinchowdhury2976 I’ve seen them pay guys 2000 base just to run an extra route because no one else would run it and they knew they could squeeze them for it. Papa John’s has a tendency to just throw money at drivers to make problems go away
So if you run 3 routes what’s the avg? And do you get to pick your partner? Do they give an incentive working an extra day? And do you get monthly bonuses? Also is it all handcarts or do you have rollers and lift gates?
What we're starting to see is a lot of trucking companies paying close to if not over that 100k a year mark. When I started driving companies were paying .30cpm. It's good to see. I've always said we should be getting paid a lot more.
It’s a challenge for them to find drivers cause nobody wants to do that because you can easily get a drop and hook and make the same of what their giving
Where exactly are you making 100k plus dropping and hooking? Sounds like 🧢
100k is working three days a week. I work for papa johns and we have guys making 200k a year. I know they are at work five days a week but the money is available
@@mattrobinson8059
Your working 3 days a week and making 100k?
@juliamarrero1207 any ltl company is paying 90-120k plus a year for linehaul drivers. So how much these drivers make take home from these routes?
@@juliamarrero1207JB hunt intermodal enters the chat😂
Ant what’s good bro I got a interview bout papa John’s this week. It’s 90k a yr. Good benefits. 750 a month safe driving and a 5k sign on bonus paid in one full payment after 6 months
Nice! Sounds like a good opportunity champ 💪🏾
I take my hat off to the gentleman that do this work you gentleman are working very hard so I hope your getting paid to do this work I sit on my ass for 12 hours drop a trailer hook to another one and drive 12 hrs home for $2000 a week you boys better be doing better than that to do that type of work
Where are you out off?
Bro if you drive more than 10 hours and do it every day That is HARD work it’s all about perspective!
@@10211127 10 hrs is only 1/2 a days work with time sensitive expedited equipment and not for your everyday freight that’s why there’s 2 transmissions and the sleeper is 12 ft long on a 310 wheelbase truck
My friend from high school works for papa John’s outta KY. He’s been with them for 15-20 years and he makes between $135-$150k a year. Another solid driving job is chick fila they get paid $46/hour and are home every night unless you ride double them it’s various depending on the route
Oh yeah I appreciate it I'm trying to make that step right now!
been trying to get in, they told me i live out the hiring Radius😂😂
💪🏿 Great info!
Man papa johns gotta do better than that. Just the fact you have to be a top performer driver to earn up to 83,000 a year when there's drop and hook companies that require the same amount of experience and can make just as much.
Depends on the location. In my location the BOTTOM drivers earn slightly over 100k
@@tylermcgriff1183nice. Which location?
@@shapeup-se6lt Des Moines
@@tylermcgriff1183 don't hold out, homie.😅
Got my cdl last month they brought me a plane ✈️ ticket to North Carolina tomorrow morning im starting with Schneider dedicated route 70-80k first year 22.55 per hour on top of 500$ bucks extra each week if you stay out more then 3 weeks , yeah man been watching you I’ll wise rlc tv for a years y’all the goat 🐐 and imma come to food service in a few years also man just need some experience right now plus wanna travel also, love y’all bro # good vibes #big💰 lol 😂
Yes sirrr! I think it’s a good idea to go the OTR /dedicated route starting out to gain quality driving experience. I appreciate the continued support buddy! Good luck 👍🏾

I appreciate it the support 🙏🏾
I’ll be damn to go through all my cdl/OTR training just to sign up for manual labour…. Ain’t no way boi!
Lol good luck with your “OTR” money then 😂🤣🤣
@@juliamarrero1207 I said OTR training…. Never said that’s what I did…. Pay attention
I have been working for GFS for over a year now and I’m thinking about switching to the pizza game!
I did this job and I almost died, seriously. I made a lot of money, but doing this job overnight and teams is extremely dangerous. They explain it one way but it's run completely different. It's a 2 man job at ALL TIMES. What that means is that when you run out of hours, you stay up because your partner can't complete the job by themselves. So you're both running off of fumes and then one of yall have to drive back absolutely exhausted. Stay away from this job people. Pay and bonuses are GREAT. But you pay the price. You never get to rest, even when your hours are up.
Yeah, fvck dat!
💯💯💯
Mclane was the same way back in 2016. 2 guys running 18-20hr routes.
@@supremej2709 Facts! 20-25 stops a route!
@babyzoe9147 First time I EVER nodded off behind the wheel.
I drove for them, the money is definitely there. You’re gonna work for it though. It’s one of those jobs that they’ll fire you for the dumbest shit so that’s why they’re always hiring lol. You’ll be wore out too. They didn’t mention on those 24hr routes you’re both up working & driving to make sure you’re not out there for 48hrs. So don’t apply if you’re not ok with breaking some rules & laws
I love truck freight jobs. It's just the team driving i can't do.
Hey what's up this is jermaine I videos on the job can you do a video on Pepsi and Fritos what year was used at your own truck and can you work for them if you got your own truck 💪💪
Putting these drivers on the dock makes sense
I agree. Good idea 👍🏾
Lost me at TEAMS
I applied to papa johns here in orlando because it said 4 day work week, which is what i do now. I love only working 4 days lol but they called and said that was an old listing from last year. If you know any trucking jobs that pay better than the $22/hr i make now and does 4 days a week, let me know 🙏
thats what the orlando location make?
What's up! I start with GFS this week in Austin, Tx. The manager knows who you are, we talked about you during my interview lol. I was wondering what are the must haves as a food service delivery driver?
Welcome to GFS, and best of luck. Houston here
@@thomasewtonii121 Appreciate it! I'll actually be down there for orientation tomorrow.
What’s up bro! Congrats! GFS is a good company. It’s always cool to hear other managers from different locations knowing who I am because of the channel lol. I think some tangible must haves are good non slip shoes, rain gear (quality poncho), good gloves, (preferably touch screen compatible). A few other things that I keep with me is a back brace, small knife for cutting shrink wrap, & a first aid kit. If you guy’s have all floor loaded trailer’s then you probably won’t need a knife. Good luck 👍🏾
Am ready to do what it takes to move my career forward
Very rare for solo runs
JKS just keep shuttlin
I filled out three applications for them I got every endorsement never got a phone call back
you probably have inconsistent work history. papa johns would nt hire me because i lived to far but dominos hired me and there right next to eachother
@@EazyTheReconwork with Pepsi the last four years bro don't know anything about inconsistent
