How lovely to hear someone speak so positively about her people all through her life. What a kind interesting woman. Her absence will be deeply felt for many years.
What a beautiful takeaway from this.. You're right, she talked about everyone she interacted with in her life as if she was saying thank you to how they contributed to her journey. I’am so very shocked and heartbroken to learn about Jacklyn Zeman’s passing away, this is so very sad just like when Sonya Eddy (Epiphany from GENERAL HOSPITAL) passed away back in December. I loved her and her character Barbara Jean Spencer (Bobbie). I’m lucky I’ve met her twice, she was a lovely, sweet and funny woman. Sending prayers and condolences to her friends, co-workers, family and especially her two daughters🙏🏻. May she rest in peace! She will live on in her work as Bobbie via You Tube clips of old episodes of GENERAL HOSPITAL! Please accept my condolences.

This was so wonderful!! Thank you guys again for this 2nd part. Two things I did notice, was that Jackie actually started on the show in Dec 1977 not 1978. And the second was that when John Bernadino as Steve Hardy read at the hospital children's Christmas parties, he read the Bible book of Luke Christmas story. It didn't become the Night Before Christmas until after his passing and Stuart Damon as Alan Quartermaine began reading the story.
I thought this would be too sad or weird, but it was wonderful. I'm going ot recommend everyone watch it & feel kinda comforted. Bless her family.
We were wondering the same thing. But when revisiting it, watching her tell her own story with such spirit seemed like a wonderful way to celebrate her. And we weren't sure if there was anything else like this out there.. Seemed like we had to share it:) Thanks Lily!

Yes, she was the anchor for the Spencer family. I don't remember much, but I recall the triangle of Bobbie/Scottie/Laura. Thank you for this. She was such a treasure. All of the stories she shared on her travels and the road that brought her here.

She’s a delight. Very interesting person. Use to watch GH with my mom in high school during summers. Bobbie Spencer was always a memorable character. Now years later, I’m back watching and my husband so sweet before he passed would watch with me.

Jackie Zeman will be missed, such a beautiful soul. I’m glad GH did that tribute for her at the Nurse’s ball. The Leslie Charleston (Monica) mention has me thinking about her. I pray she’s doing well, because she’s been absent from GH for awhile now.

And we were lucky to have her in our lives on a daily basis all these years because of general hospital. I can't imagine what your cast and crew are going through. But I can promise you anyone outside of general hospital who watched her or known her through the years it's probably going through pretty close the same thing. May she rest in peace she definitely is an angel

Thank you guys so much for re-posting this podcast. I've been watching GH forever, 50 years (I started watching with my Grandmother). There was so much about Jackie that I never knew, and Steve you were right, her story would be an awesome movie. I remember when she was the highest paid woman in television and Susan Lucci was #2. I'll be waiting for the movie.

Your interview showed us the other side of this great actress. She had an amazing life. So sorry she didn’t have more time. I know her family and all her fans will miss her. I miss her already although she hasn't been on screen for quite awhile until the Nurses Ball. I guess just like with Kin Shriner, Lynn Herring and so many cast members who don't get nearly enough screen time, at least we know/knew they were around and gracing the world with their goodness😥❤️♥️. Now, knowing we'll never see her again in new episodes just depressed and saddens me.
I hope they give she AND Bobbie the whole episode send-off. Both of them deserve it.❤️❤️ I also hope the powers- -that-be will try hard to get Rick Springfield and John Stamos back for the memorial. Also Brad Maule who was her on-screen hubby, Tony Jones. ♥️ There already won't be any dry eyes at GH or in our homes but to bring those 3 back but to have them back would be so great. I didn't mention Tony Geary because he seems very retired so doubtful they can lure him out of retirement, HOWEVER, it IS for Jackie and Bobbie so who knows?
Everyone seemed to love her and I've not seen a single person who loved, knew her, worked with her say a negative word about her.
I know we fans adored her and are missing her already.
I cried when I saw that last exit she made after the Nurses Ball when she blew that kiss😥❤️💔. She KNEW of course and perhaps some of the cast knew but we fans sure didn't dream that would be last time we saw her💔
Now it gives me cold chills. I'm so glad she was able to be there for the 60th anniversary because she certainly was one of the great stars who got GH such longevity.

I grew up watching General Hospital as a kid, my mom always watched it and i was hooked on it also lol 😂 i loved "Bobbie" on the show thank u so much for sharing this interview i learned alot about her that i didnt know she lived a very exciting and fascinating life she really done alot thank u so much and RIP Jackie Zeman ❤❤❤

Thanks so much for posting both parts of the interview. Jackie Zeman has been a part of many of our lives for a very long time. Even as time has necessitated changes in life to make viewing soaps not always possible, you felt people like Jackie Zeman were around as a presence in your life's journey. It is sad that it came her time to move on, but knowing she had such a full life was a blessing. Someone should really consider making a movie/tv series based on the life of Jackie Zeman.
Give Jackie a home going when you can.. she deserves that gh, you did everyone else… I’m patient

Hi D. Dee. 😊 I think this was when Steve and Bradford were doing a podcast, so they wouldn't have needed the mic moved. I think they just also just happened to video record it. Thank goodness they did so we are able to view this today. I was so very sorry to hear about Jackie's passing. General Hospital will have such a void with the passing of both Jackie and Sonya. 💔💔

RIP Jacklyn Zeman. I watched Jackie on One Life To Live when she played Lana McClain for that time in 1976 for quiet a while, Jackie says 2 1/2 years. Shockingly her character was killed off as the writers had planned but she stayed longer than planned, but then only like a week later she was on General Hospital as Bobbie Spencer. I was very sad to hear that Jackie had died at the age of 70 from cancer. Rest in peace Jackie Zeman. We will miss you.
