- I don’t have the right words to express the grief of the loss of our dear friend Tyler. He was an extremely talented, deeply soulful, and loving father. I believe he is finally free of his immense pain. I just wish it could’ve happened while he was here. We will miss you Tyler and never forget you. 🙏🏼

I give Maurice a lot of credit for doing this show. He has had some of the best conversations on mental health that I have seen with people. This was a very good interview and a great tribute to Tyler Christopher may he rest in peace.

I am a 60 year old woman who has watching GH all of my life. It's to the day a piece of me. Family members have sent me birthday cards from Sonny 😂. So when I read that Tyler had died I sobbed. There is no one that has played Nikolas like Tyler. Time for Frank to put the character to rest. Tyler was a phenomenal actor and the fact he came on State of Mind and spoke his truth, showed his true character. My heartfelt condolences to you and your cast and crew Maurice.

I agree Tyler was phenomenal. but since three other actors have played the part, and he is a LEGACY character. , it’s highly unlikely they will kill off Nicholas off . This only works when the character is played by 1 actor , like SONYA EDDY as Ephiphany . Jason is killed of FOR NOW , but if needed , they will bring the character back

I'm so sorry for your loss. I understand about addiction. My Dad was an alcoholic stay sober for 46 yrs before he died. Mom was addicted to drugs. She committed suicide at 34. I started drinking at 32. I'm now sixty. I've been in and out of AA. Still trying to beat this deal.
I just found out Tyler passed away. I am beyond shocked and saddened by this news. My prayers go out to the loved ones. Just watching this, I was getting emotional and had to pause it. I'm so sorry. 😢😢😢

Hats off to Tyler for opening up the way that he did.
I'm so glad that he did the interview. It was so insightful to hear him speak from the prospective an an alcoholic. I could tell in the interview that he was still struggling but that made it even more authentic. Alcholism is a terrible monster and getting out of its grip is almost impossible. I am so grateful to be sober today. It took a long time but through Gods help I made it. My heart goes out to all those who suffer and have lost loved ones . RIP Tyler

I kept hoping Tyler would come back to GH but this video helped me understand what happened. Yes both Billy Miller (to me loved mostly as the best Y&R Billy Abbot actor ever with his emotional scenes with Victoria, other family members, but mostly his scenes revolving around Delia’s death), and Tyler, who I was drawn to when I started GH after my dear precious GL was murdered. He was just like Billy in my opinion l, a great actor with great range,

What a beautiful heart trapped inside a troubled and talented man. I'm happy that he was able to tell his own story with such humility and respect.
So much of this interview had some foreshadowing but what broke me was when Tyler was talking about having passed away previously, as he was lying on the bench homeless he said he knew what it felt like to pass away and he knew it was close again. And then his friend pulled up. I can't help but wonder if on Oct 31 he felt it coming again. It's so sad. My heart breaks for his family. Rest in Paradise Tyler. ❤

I have struggled with alcoholism for decades… now I have stage IV cirrhosis. One of my bucket list dreams was to meet you, Maurice, which came to fruition in September in Tampa (2 weeks before I was diagnosed and after I quit drinking. My prayers are with Tyler’s family and all who suffer from this horrible disease. Thank you for all you do. Much love and appreciation to you from Florida. ❤

I have cried multiple times over Tyler's passing. I never met him but would have loved the opportunity. To me, he really was the one and only Nikolas Cassadine. His acting was incredibly deep and vulnerable. I wish he would have love himself more and would have seen in himself what we seen with his performances. Jackie Zeman at 70 in May, then Billy Miller just a few days short of age 45. Then dear Tyler Christopher on Halloween at 50. Last year it was Sonya Eddy at 54 lost during surgical procedure. Sad heartbreaking times for GH fans and the cast at GH . I was really hoping to see Tyler return as Nikolas. I’m still heartbroken and stunned that he is gone . REALLY LOVED him as Nikolas. It is just too sad and almost too much to accept. They were both wonderful actors and much too young to leave us. I had also selfishly hoped they could return to General Hospital, and never thought we would lose them in death.

Maurice was right not to let him stay at his house. A friend of ours had a family member who was a raging alcoholic & the doctors told them not to let that person stay with their family members & disrupt their lives. If you haven't been around this addiction - it is difficult to understand.

I was so excited to hear that Tyler Christopher was returning to General Hospital. Tyler was the one who could play the part of Nicklaus. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. This break my heart. He was a brilliant actor. Maurice I watched State of Mind again with Tyler and told my daughter to watch it too. This brought tears to her eyes , and when she realized he was in the process of writing a book she was really interested in reading it. He was beautiful inside and out. The humanity in this is gut wrenching. I'm glad Tyler had moments of clarity and he never stopping trying to learn. I hope with all my heart he rests well. My daughter was diagnosed with bipolar and it has been until recently absolutely worrisome painful and scary. She is now on meds and they seem to be working she is happy. As a parent I missed the sign, for that i feel so bad it hurts my soul. She has tried to end this world and we have been through it together and i will fight for her till my dying days.
I rewatched your interview with Tyler the day he passed. I was so in love with him back in the day! His passing is such a terrible loss. He was so talented and I loved him as Nicholas Cassadine! I had no idea that he struggled with bipolar disorder and alcoholism. I just wish that someone could have stepped in earlier in his life and helped him! God Bless you Tyler! Tyler was a great actor on General Hospital! I saw him as the only Nicholas Cassadine on there.... no one could take his place! He captivated me when he first started on there in the 90s. I wish he could of come back to play that role on there. It shocked me a few days ago when i saw that he passed away, I cried . But i hope that he is in a better place now and he is at peace, too. I know he must have been a great dad to his children and im sure they miss him terribly, too. I lost my mom at a young age as well so i feel for his children right now going through this. It’s just so hard to understand someone so amazing felt so alone and thought his much admired work wasn’t good enough and that he was alone when he was found the universe is messed up
I remember meeting Tyler almost 20 years ago. He made an appearance at a mall near where I lived. He talked about his time on the show, answered questions from the audience, and took pictures with everyone after it was done. I remember him being so nice to my friends and me when it was our turn (we were in high school and the youngest people there). He signed an 8x10 photograph for everyone to take with them, which I still have. I always hoped to see him return. He’s one of those actors that just has truly amazing chemistry with everyone he works with. RIP Tyler.

Dealing with someone you've been close to is very hard. I lost my mom several years ago and I'm still grieving.
I lost mine in '97, time helps but it is still hard.
I lost my mom 30 yrs ago & am still grieving for her. I love her so much and it still hurts like hell that I can't see her anymore. I still cry for her & will always feel the pain of not having her anymore.😢😢

Thank you Maurice. I suffer from Bipolar and Major Depressive Disorder. When Billy surrendered his life life. I was like how at 53 am I still here? Now with Tyler's. I'm just sad. I was hoping he'd come back Nicholas like everyone else. His fight is over and may he finally rest in peace.

I'm very sad about Tyler he was a great actor and I'm sure a great person may he RIP I never understood what some people are going through you helped open my eyes to this very important issue and I'm sure you have helped so many people that are living with these issues thank you you are a wonderful person and of course a wonderful actor 🙏❤️

Mr. Benard, I am so sorry for all the loss that you and your GH family have had to endure. Being a GH fan for over 30 years and mourning the losses, I can not imagine how all of you are feeling. Sending all of you some extra love to get through it. For Tyler's children, may they know what a wonderful father they had and how much they were loved by him.
Eventually they'll see this and understand what he was up against combined with the time & memories with him surely Will make his loss easier...🕊️🙏🏼

I've been watching him on GH since the beginning! I loved his acting. I follow him on Instagram and he is so humble. Almost always responds to fans comments, which is rare! This one has hit me hard. I never personally knew him but he had a genuine sweetness about him. RIP Tyler . ❤
Became familiar with Tyler in the early 90's. He was an Outstanding Actor, I truly enjoyed watching him play the part of Nikolas Cassadine!! I'm going to miss him. My Condolences to his family and friends!! 😪❤
