    Thanks Kelvin! Looks like I shall diversify some of my CPF funds from Endowus and place them into POEMS with the Amundi Index MSCI World fund. Fees do matter in the long-term. Savings of 0.3% platform fee is substantial to me.

      also in a similar boat. endowus 0.4% (slightly low 0.3 but limited to one fund selection) platform fee is pretty significant for a DYI investor.

    Investing CPF monies should only be allowed for products that have a low cost base. I find unit trusts and many professionally managed funds to have unacceptably high cost that eat into whatever returns you get (speaking from experience). Low cost broad based ETFs are better. Just my 2 cents and always do your due diligence. Thanks Kelvin for this video.

    Hi Kelvin. I had already hit the FRS for my cohort and is way above 55YO. Do you know why I can't invest the first $20K in my OA? Weird policy.
    Makes me think if I can withdraw everything out of OA since I can't touch them.

      That’s cpfis rules

      @hc5431 18 днів тому

      @KelvinLearnsInvesting So, does it mean last $20K cannot withdraw too?

    • @KelvinLearnsInvesting
      @KelvinLearnsInvesting  18 днів тому

      The 20k cannot invest. But as long as set aside frs already, the 20k can withdraw

    From the POEMS pricing website, the Dividend Handling Fee (Cash Dividend) still applicable for SGX Stocks. Does it mean using CPFOA funds, this will not be applicable?

    Do you max out iras tax relief? Doesn't it make sense to max out FRS asap?

    Hi Kelvin, do you think is it worth to withdraw my CPF OA & invest in SSB? Because i see SSB interest rates is higher than CPF OA interest rate. Thanks

    • @KelvinLearnsInvesting
      @KelvinLearnsInvesting  10 днів тому

      You are referring to above 55 years old right? Don't forget that above 55, first $30k earns extra 2%, and next $30k earns extra 1%. So you are looking at up to 4.5% interest for CPF OA.
      If i'm in that scenario, i wouldn't withdraw cos the current SSB interest is just 2.82% for 10 year average and they don't compound. Whereas OA interest compounds annually

    Poems listed the Amundi ETF under their unit trusts instead of ETF. Anything different?
    If POEMS offer zero sales charge, and zero fees, what do they earn? Poems cash plus has 1% dividend handling fees so must be aware. But SRS and CPFIS not custodied with Poems so not an issue. Correct me if wrong.

    • @KelvinLearnsInvesting
      @KelvinLearnsInvesting  18 днів тому +2

      Amundi is unit trust.
      I guess they don't earn on this fund.
      Dividend handling fees not eligible on SRS and CPFIS .

      You can only search for it via google. Poems somehow hides it from their search result

    Hi Kelvin, just to let you know that i've signed up with your POEMS link today and will be meeting all the conditions.
    You will be able to get the $68, understand that you will only get this for the first 10 persons?
    Just curious if i am 1 of the first 10, can you tell?

    Cpf is not investment..investment is something u make profit and u withdraw to use or reinvest something esle . Pls don’t confuse it as long term investment… a long term investment is when it hit target earlier u withdraw..cpf totally not!!!

    • @MrRazorteeth
      @MrRazorteeth 19 днів тому

      You can invest OA and reinvest on property.
      As for long-term cpf investment, you may withdraw the excess once your RA hits the maximum amount at age 55.
