Yan Jun seemed so relatable and amicable even though he is of such a high position. Would hope to learn more about the insights on the policy change and how its supposed to benefit us.
Hi Yan Jun. Thank you for explaining. I have a question. After 55 years old and the full retirement sum being met, where will the interest rate accumulate from the retirement account go?
YJ - A question for you Q. at 54 yo an illiquid OA account pays us 2.5% while at 55 yo a fully liquid OA account also pays us 2.5%. In this case, shouldnt the illiquid cpf OA prior to 55 yo pay more than 2.5% interest?
@@Mellins-dn3oy Believe it or not..... SSB, Treasury Bills and other instruments similarly guaranteed by the same govt 😂. Fully liquid and all yielding above 2.5% at this moment
isnt it liquid to housing/education/investment? just because at 54 you are not using OA for these, doesnt mean the younger ones dont. you can trf to SA to meet FRS for 4%, at 55, it will come back to your OA then.
The sudden closing of the CPF Special accounts is painful for those already in retirement and relying on the interest for everyday spending...it was done too light heartedly
Something so complexified can be a good thing ? Designers and engineers have their answers. But to be honest at the level of political correctness, i must say, the deputy is a genius for coming up such a great policy
There is no need for the cameraman to "follow" him with the camera. It is ok for the speaker to move left and right slightly. The movement of your camera caused dizziness. Please note.

From 2009 till 2022, total interest that I received from my 3 cpf accounts were more than 200k.😊

Think the question is where else can we find a fully liquid account that pays 2.5% of interest. Better not give Govt more ideas…

The problem is CPF policies should be explained with more graphics and illustration and not with so many text!! Big failure!
