Now, I don't know how she was trimmed/shod for these exercises, but....if you trim the hind feet a bit short and leave the front feet a little longer, you can discourage pacing and make it easier for her to hit a trot. Just a thought.
Thats interesting, I will talk to my Farrier about that...we went out on a nice hack and the retired racing thoroughbred I was with was in a full gallop and my standy was keeping pace...pacing! Lol! I am hoping to figure out how to get him in a canter, he has a nice smooth canter, but its hard to get him to do so! Thank you for those insights!

If it's a retired buggy horse it should be used to cars and traffic.😊
