The House on Sathorn Bangkok at the W-Hotel. This Historical House was build in 1889 and has a great story. It is nice to see it still preserved, it used to be the Soviet Embassy from 1949 till 1999.
The House on Sathorn is a High End Luxury Restaurant and cocktail Bar, part of the W-Hotel in Bangkok. Here you will find the Paii Seafood Restaurant. We visited during a cocktail event with Jon Lee. / jonleekw

Could be one of the Best Streets if BKK pushed for it! Would be several billion but would be worth it! Making the ChongNonsi a Walking Street for Pedestrians and Cyclist! Expanding Redoing the Canals for public transportation up and down the street!

visit whlle you can. That house sits on a multi-billion dollar plot. Look at Hemminways, the Singha House in Montree opposite GMM Grammy, the former British Embassy building. All historic houses to know its fate

When this house was vacant, semi-abandoned 40 years ago, it was open for anyone to enter. I was a student back then and I went there to just hang around on the grass with my 2 school friends. WE SAW GHOSTS THERE, 3 of us.

I just love colonial architecture in Thailand, this one is in the neoclassical style, beautiful building....
The mansion was built in 1888, during the reign of King Chulalongkorn (Rama V), for Luang Sathonrachayut (Yom Pisolyabutra), the wealthy Chinese businessman and government official.
