This video is pure gold, no one could have done this the way you did. You were knowledgeable and didn't overcomplicate the process, and your joy and words of affirmation throughout the video was so great. I didn't even watch the video all the way through before i picked up my scissors and followed along. It was like a having a generous Aunty sit me down and show me exactly what I needed to do to grow long healthy hair. Thank you.
Ur hair is beautiful and u did a terrific job with trimming! I just did mines Nov 9th! I've already got my hair back in 4 months! I do my own trims also! It does it feels really good especially when u can brush through w out stopping bcuz of knots! Excellent video dear🥰💞 & I'm a new subscriber!
Hey Nini. 😁 Wow.. you got your hair back in 4 months, that's amazing! I'm still enjoying the results from the trim and loving it. Can't wait to get the length back. I'm so happy you're on board and on this journey together ☺️ Lots of love 💖
This tutorial is so detailed. I didn’t know how to trim hair initially and YT suggested this to me because I wanted to trim my hair. I watched the video while trimming and it came out successful. Thank you!
I had to cut my hair completely because I was having serious split ends. Hopefully, I will get more healthy hair following your videos. Awesome video.👌 Well detailed.
ì was doubtful about the hair shears scissors advice till I saw how the scissors cut through your hair like butter 😳 am sold out. Again using the right tools for the right job...Beautiful trim though🥰
Your hair is gorgeous sis!!! Omg so healthy and long!! Thanx for the tips. To be honest I never trimmed my hair before. I appreciate this tutorial so much
This was so straight to the point and easy to understand. That Twist and Trim method worked wonders for getting out the few remaining single strand knots and dead ends that I didn't get by combing through. Detangling my hair is going to be SOOO much easier now instead of taking me the whole day. I'm new to growing out my natural hair and have been stuck at the same length in the TWA stage and I couldn't figure out why, I didn't know that you had to trim your hair regularly lmao. It's a bummer that I had to sacrifice some length though. Any tips for preventing single strand knots and dead ends?
Hey blackham, thanks so much for the feedback 😊 Yes the twist and trim works wonders! Please bear in mind that you do not need to trim your ends too much though. That is trimming your ends even when your ends doesn't need trimming. For instance, trimming every month, 2 months or 3 months even when your ends look ok is not necessary. You won't also see your hair getting longer. Depends on your hair care practices, will determine how often to trim your ends. If you use a lot of heat tools , don't Moisturise your hair regularly, don't deep condition your hair regularly, then you might experience a lot of split dead ends so you'll need to trim often. But if you do all that mentioned above ,you wouldn't need to trim your ends that much to retain the length . So trim as and when needed. Tips for preventing single strand knots and dead ends : •Hydrate and moisturise your hair often to keep ends soft and smooth to prevent rubbing and tangling around each other. •Detangle hair properly. •Keep ends protected in protective styles ie: bantu knots, twists, braids •Sleep with satin/silk bonnets and pillow covers. You can also place hair in pineapple style , braids or twists to protect the ends. •Be gentle on your hair after washing as wet hair is susceptible to breakage. Blot dry hair with a t -shirt instead of a towel to avoid frizz, split ends and breakage. •seal ends in oils to keep them smooth and slippery to avoid getting knotted. •Deep condition your hair regularly. •Less wash ang gos •Cut down the heat tools, bleach and colouring. Use lower temperatures and heat protectants when using heat tools and less manipulation. Hope this helps 😊 Will make a video on this soon xx ❤️
I've wondered how possible is it for me to get an even trim. I have tried so many times and the result is not always satisfactory. This tutorial will certainly be of great help.
@KimchoSwartz Hey sis, no! I won't suggest deep conditioning before shampooing your hair because shampooing your hair is to take away the dirt and build up from your hair but depending on the shampoo, it can also strip off the goodness in your hair. Which means you're adding the deep conditioner and then stripping it off your hair with the shampoo after, wasting your time and product. I'll rather advise you shampoo first before deep conditioning so that there'll be no dirt or build ups blocking your hair cuticles making it easy for your hair to absorb your products. Hope this makes sense 😊 And please do not shampoo again after deep conditioning , just rinse the conditioner with only water and you're good to go. 😊❤️
I will give it a try I use to do the same for my permed hair have not tried it yet on my 4c but it seems pretty much the same but I have been growing it out for a year no trim I believe it's time but thanks you video is the most helpful ❤💯
God knows how much damage I've done to my hair trimming with any scissors ✂️ and just cutting off the edge without any guide. The result is not always as nice as the one in the video. I learnt something worthwhile today
A video i so much needed. I think I've let my hair go so much. It's dry shading a lot and it has very thin ends. I was planning to trim it and yes, i was gonna use my clothes scissors 🤣🤣🤣 now i know better.
Your hair has grown so much and looking very healthy and more beautiful now wow the rice water really did a great job on your hair, thanks for bringing up this tutorial too. It’s so important to me Cus I have been detangling and trimming my hair so wrong, but now I have learnt better.
Hi thanks for your kindness to show us and benefit us can you help and tell what to use for the face because you look so beautiful with your clean face like a new born baby
Hey Chzzy, all my products are from kkulturelondon.co.uk This is a natural hair care brand selling ayurvedic hair products from natural and organic ingredients . It's really improved my hair. Only my shampoo from Creme Of Nature 😊❤️
Hi! When I try to stretch my hair without heat, it feels hard and has no body or volume. It is also difficult to comb through, so I have to re-wet it - negating my efforts. I do moisturize it, so I don't understand why I'm not getting the soft, voluminous hair full of body as you do. Can you give me suggestions or do a video on this? Also, would you please do a video on how you recovered from your damaged hair? After having children, I neglected my hair for years and am now trying to recover. Thank you so much!
Hi Tina, thanks for your message and I'm sorry to hear about your hair concerns. What i can say with the volume of your hair is that : You might not see the thickness and volume you're hoping to achieve even if you moisturize it due to the heat you're applying to your hair to stretch it ( I can understand you struggle to stretch it without heat ). Heat creates weak points in our hair and thins the hair. The hardness you get after stretching your hair without heat might not be a result from the no heat stretch but because of heat damage from all the times you've been using heat in stretching your hair. I had to cut off most of my hair which was the damaged part and I stopped blow drying my hair and using straighteners (hot tools ) for some months and just stretched my hair naturally with no heat for these months and noticed massive improvement in the health of my hair. The thickness, volume, texture, and length retention was amazing! Sure, I'll do a video on how i recovered from my heat damage and also a video on how to get your hair soft with natural no heat stretch. Much love Tina 🤗❤️
It looks very awkward how you're holding your sections. If you held it between two fingers firmly, and used a rat tail comb right before, you would get a cleaner, neater trim. As I continued watching, I saw you were doing it your second and third pass ending with the twist method. GREAT job getting the maximum amount of dead ends off!!!
Really? Did you watch the whole video and never saw me combing from ends to roots? And not seen me comb from ends to roots in my other wash day videos? I do comb from ends to roots hunnie mostly!
I used your video as my guide and the outcome was amazing. Thank you
Aww.. thanks Kay. I'm so pleased to hear. Its a great feeling once you see the results ☺️❤️

Hey Renee, thanks for the tip 😊 I do find it easier holding my sections that way but will try your method in the future. Much love ☺️❤️
You’re suppose to comb from ends to roots not roots to ends mama
Really? Did you watch the whole video and never saw me combing from ends to roots? And not seen me comb from ends to roots in my other wash day videos? I do comb from ends to roots hunnie mostly!
