very informative and interesting. Hope some of the Greenies watch this and realise that dairy farms are not killing all our waterways. how to measure a waterways health - by what is living in it, if apex predators are there, there has to be a good food chain living within the parameters of a healthy environment.

I was going to say the same thing. Greenies will just look at numbers and make assumptions. The last farm I sharemilked on had a stream flowing through it, and it looked devoid of life. We took a couple of digger buckets out of one part to clear a blockage and there were eels, koura and various small fish in a 10 mtr stretch.

Hey Andrew while you had the scientists their you should have asked them for pheasant remedy although probably not their field of study. Bloody carp WHO let them into NZ

I would agree but NZ Govt. Is moving like Holland. Remember - this slogan “ I’m from the Govt. and I’m here to help you”. There building data to shut you down.

Pretty cool to see what swimming around in the streams - I have seen eels about 1 metre + over here in Tasmania in creeks/dams

    This is a super development
    Common sense prevailing.
Here in Ireland our department of ag has become obsessed with number crunching at the cost to the viability to our farmers and their livelihood

That’s right mate! This is the Govt. sneaking into your yard and saying the most dangerous statement “ Hi I’m from the Govt. and IM HERE TO HELP YOU” next their shutting you down to protect some fish.

Interesting! But my take is more Govt. More people becoming so called experts. Next thing they shut your farm down because you’re disturbing some fish THEY think is bad. This is the aim of your Govt. to interfere now ( small way) and eventually they shut you down over some fish. New Zealand will become Holland. Stopping farming NOT helping.
Listening to this Greenie guy go on made me sick. Another regulator you didn’t ask for!

There was a part which I didn't put in where Craig was explaining more regulation is bad for the environment. I couldn't fit it all in but was interesting.
Craig may be a fresh water scientist but he's strongly on the farmers side, He also doesn't regulate he works with the regulations we have. He was also not for shutting farms down.
I get your point but he's not the bad guy
