Thank you for a lot of these free videos ! I can’t really afford counseling. So with this exercise, at first I was like yeah-yeah it won’t work. But then afterwards something powerful was happening to me. I was feeling so angry. I was so angry at people who hurt me. I was just saying things that I was not really aware of. Afterwards I felt like I went to war, it was so powerful. I felt a bit tired afterwards. Like I had been running physically. Tu again for posting these. Because I really needed this. I have been so reactive. And now I know why, I just need to feel to heal.
Hi there! I am assuming you did the anger release video I shared :) I am so glad you found a true release doing this exercise. What you describe as that good tiredness, we call "Warrior's Rest" in SE. It's the relaxation and settling the nervous system finally gets to feel after we discharge stress energy!
This meditation is the most exquisite ones on somatic tracking I’ve found yet. TMS diagnosis here, and this meditation was like, enjoyable to do, unlike some of the other ones which sucks the listener back into pain.
Sorry for taking so long to respond. Calming heavy breathing would be a great next video. Before I get the video out, I’d invite you to focus on lengthening and slowing your exhales (breaths out) to calm and settle the body.
There is this habit, when i sit on the chair or floor, I keep swinging and won't stop the movement. Looks like this habit is formed from my childhood. How to concious stop that particular movement as now it has become part of muscle memory. Please help.
Hello! Thanks for sharing and for asking this question. Without knowing more about your situation, I will simply speak to the body's impulse to sway/swing. Often when we sway unconsciously this an attempt of our body to self-regulate; to keep our energy in some kind of movement and rhythm. When we have activation/sympathetic arousal, the body wants to move and sitting still can feel challenging or impossible. I would invite you to do some tension release/anxiety relieving exercises (I have other videos for these things) when you are seated and see if that helps settle you. I'm also of the mindset that unless the swaying is getting in the way of daily life, I would not pathologize it. Our bodies want to move.
UA-cam is such a blessing

what about grounding breathing after intense workout? can you show how to calm heavy breathing down? by getting out of breath?
