Is it just me or has Chino's musical output been more, and consistent as he's gotten older? Most artists' best music is early in their careers but I feel these songs are some of the best he's even been involved with. The last Deftones album was great too, but this new Crosses album just hits different. Gives me the same chills I felt hearing the self titled album. The ambient sounds and mixtures of electronic and real percussion is just BLISS to my ears.

It's strange to think about. You can tell the years of his screaming has taken a bit of a toll on his range. That being said, I think he's trending more to the harmony aspects instead of the wild high notes. I honestly think this new Crosses album is thematically more in line with the concept of the bands name. I can respect it since there's not necessarily a theme with most of his projects, it's usually an amalgamation of emotions without a concept tying everything together.
I feel this is some of his best work too. I'm really impressed with Shaun Lopez and him together especially.

Lopez songwriting just works really well with chinos voice and how he likes to write vocal melodies.
Makes me think he works for the CIA. lol.
We may never hear a band like this again, enjoy.
