Hi Emily, I know this doesn't have anything to do with the current video but I had to share. I bought the Needs palette the day it came out and I have used it every day since. For the first time in years, I have hit pan on kindness and peace, love, and joy aren't far behind. I love it so much that I have a backup Needs on the way! All my other palettes and singles are feeling very unloved and that's just fine with me. Thank you for putting out a product that allows me to put all my other "stuff" away! hugs and love, eileen

I loooove love love QVC!!! A long time ago when I didn't have much money or credit, my kids could have a computer or a game console because of their easy pays. Now one of my kids is a Math HS Teacher and the other had a really good job in the oil fields before he passed away in a car accident. Times have changed but I still love QVC, their deals and easy pays. Receiving a box from them back then, was suuuch a big event. Gosh, now I'm crying.

I'm afraid of QVC after a bad Mally shopping experience but I think it's time to dive bck in. The deals are amazing&love the actual real time advice, demonstrations etc. I think with youtube ppl hv forgotten QVC &HSN.Roll on next Fri I'll be bck watching (my poor card is quaking in my wallet).
That was an in-depth, honest review, that takes into account that people have different expectations and needs from their makeup. Just because you don't like the color scheme doesn't mean it's useless. Thanks Emily, for giving everything, especially the eye shadow palette, a fair try. Such an informative review.
So regarding the UD All Nighter Setting Powder - I can see why it might seem like a very average powder to someone who doesn’t have issues w/foundation breaking down due to excess oil (or sweating), but it is very special indeed! You see, I’m oily (& sweat a lot in the Summer) & this powder is an absolute necessity because it provides longevity that no other powder does (that I’ve tried). It prevents my makeup from breaking down & when coupled w/thei setting spray, it’s practically bullet proof! (And w/o caking) I’ve not found anything else quite like it. 😊.

I actually think that palette looks great for a new makeup person wanting to experiment but a little intimidated by pigment because it looks like it blends so well!!
One thing I love so much about your take on eyeshadow palettes in particular is that you consider the audience. Some people would see that pallet and say that it's super boring and a terrible pallete and they would recommend that people not buy it. I see that pallete as being a great option for someone like my sister who isn't a make a beginner, but doesn't have the need for super pigmented vibrant shades or lots of deep tones. You taking into account peoples different preferences has made it so much easier for me to decide what I'm going to purchase, so thank you!
Could you do a video on tips on how to pick the right foundation color at the drugstore, where they don't have samples, please?
I have this same problem. I just wanted to suggest temptalia.com and findation.com to you. As long as you know obviously if youre fair, light, medium etc and then what your undertone is (pink,yellow,neutral) then it has helped me a ton pick my shades!!! You can tell your undertone usually by the main colors of your veins under your skin (the internet has also taught me how to do that) ....good luck!!!! 😁

This is a fabulous idea!! I was buying the physicians formula foundation this weekend ( totally bc of jambeautys video) and i thought how do i know which shade to get. I was at Walmart so no samples or anybody to help a girl out! I hope i got close!!
Emily did do a video on this topic some years ago. I dont recall the whole thing, but I do remember her saying that if you have a foundation that is already a good match for you, bring the bottle and try to find a match for it in whatever brand you're interested in. Of course the more opaque containers aren't as easy.

I LOVE Kristoper Buckle's foundation sticks! I have really dry skin and this foundation is amazing. I have it in two colors so in the winter I use the tan as a contour shade.

I love to get skin care from QVC. They offer value sizes not available elsewhere and you can't beat the pricing on the TSV sets for high end skin care.
I bought the Kristofer Buckle setting spray during a Fab Fit Fun sale. It kept my makeup on better than the UD All-nighter!!! It worked really well in the summer but it did start drying my skin out. It back to the All-nighter for me but lll probably go back during the sweaty season.

Regarding universal shade brow products, i have very sparse brows & my only issue is that because I’m pretty fair w/an incredibly cool undertone to my skin, it’s VERY EASY for the shades to come off too warm toned. What seems very ashy/taupe-y/cool on most can easily look too yellow-y/warm on me.
So it’s not unusual for me too “cool off” my brow shades w/a straight up gray brow powder. So I can’t always use most universal/taupe-y shades as is.
I have the same problem with my brows! I have to be so careful since there isn't much there! 💜😀
I have that same situation as you and my solution is this. I use clear mascara on my brows to set them in place and while theyre still wet, I use eyeshadow for filling in using a smaller eyeliner brush. You can fill in as much as you need to without the overbearing pencil look. I sometimes use a couple of colors of varying depths to define and lighten where necessary. The mascara dries and the color stays because it has adhered to it. Works well for me!
Gorgeous as usual!! I have only recently purchased from QVC and HSN. I purchased the Too Faced Pumpkin Spice kit from HSN, and it has some nice colors, but the one with the most glitter (gold color) likes to travel to other areas. The gloss definitely has a pumpkin spicey vibe going, and you really can't go wrong with their mascara. Have a great weekend Emily!!

I am thrilled to see a soft cool palate, I love the great bargains with kits from the Q. They bought HSN, so that is why they now have Benefit and Urban Decay. I have not tried the Doll 10 yet...
My all-time favorite full-coverage foundations is from QVC, and it is the Doll 10 foundation. It tends to be pretty matte when originally applied, but about an hour later begins to look less matte, and yet not greasy. Love it!

That quad cream blush palette is set up just like the quad makeups from ELF, even having the removable pans.
I definitely wanna try that palette. My skin has gone from normal to oily combo to practically all dry in my older age and lack of wearing my hormone patch anymore, that I used for several years after the hysterectomy.

I love that qvc has easy pay and with their qcard u can do easy pay on everything. I don’t love that they charge shipping on each product but I still purchase mostly makeup and handbags lol. The doll10 palette reminds me of the it superhero palette in that the colors and finished are good for those of us with mature eyes even though I do love color and metallic finishes when I travel for work I try to keep it professional and toned down.
My brows are sparse at the tail but they are also more taupe in color so universal works well for me. My hair is medium brown (with God given silver highlights lol) and my brows are a hint darker then my hair. My sister has blonde brows and universal is usually too dark for her.

I have been a QVC member from the beginning. What you learn very quickly is that you get products packaged together that you will never find anywhere else. The prices plus easy pay are so irresistible. My favorite mascara is still Mally’s original formula, copied from her process used on Beyoncé! 😉

morning ! Regarding brow products - I used to have dark brown brows...I started going white/grey in my 40's - and my eyebrows are now mostly grey....So I have had great luck with the universal colors - Cheers !

So, interestingly enough, QVC has been a launch pad for several popular cosmetic lines, the biggest to come out of here is IT cosmetics, and Josie Maran cosmetics. These two companies started with their creator coming on there and talking about their one product, for Jamie Kerns it was the Bye Bye Undereye, and for Josie it was, of course, the oil. QVC introduced me to the higher end makeup world about 15 or so years ago. I bought the Kristofer Buckle makeup kit that had several pieces, and I can tell you, that setting spray is hardcore, goes on like hairspray, and makes your makeup STAY. My daughter that has oily complexion, loves that setting spray. And ladies, QVC has 5 plus Easy Pay on everything today 11/3/18. Go Nuts!
BTW, the Doll 10 Hydragel foundation is really nice.

@@lawyerlee I'll toss out this disclaimer: They are super SUPER comfortable and almost like a lip balm feeling. But totally is a still lipstick, but not super long-wear. But I don't mind -- they are so comfy and gorgeous. I wear those a lot in winter if my lips have gotten chapped or just want to look more natural.

I love QVC & HSN for beauty & Skincare products! There are so many great deals and value sets that aren’t offered anywhere else. Plus, the easy pay is awesome. Friday night Beauty is how I spend my Friday nights 😝 and I love the Beauty channel they have now too! I’m very intrigued by the foundation...may have to try that along with the Lip primer! I've been super impressed with Doll 10 lately and I have to say, try their new HydraLux concealer (it's on their website but not at QVC yet). It's become my holy Grail concealer...it has smoothing ingredients and doesn't crease or settle in fine lines. It's fantastic!! 😍😍😍

Oh, also they were several years at home so it felt like I was starting all over again with learning how to apply makeup being a bit older. :) this makeup stays all day, has amazing undertones, so easy to apply and flattering. I have very little existing brow, medium brown hair and my brow hairs are a cool dark taupe. Most universal brow colors work pretty well for me. This doll 10 brow product looks extremely interesting and I think I'll be visiting qvc very soon!

I'm so excited about the foundation I've got older skin and at this age (56) my skin has changed a lot.. I presently use the physicians formula blurring foundation and the 24hr maybelline foundation together..this so far the only foundation that has not just sit on my skin.. thank you for always making the most informative tutorials . I really enjoyed this video. My first really expensive beauty buy was from QVC. It was $50 or $60 and it was a bunch of Mally products. I loved her mascara

Absolutely Love Doll 10 Hydrolux Foundation and Concealer! All her eyeshadow palettes and lipsticks are really nice too. Josie Maran Vibrancy products are fantastic as well. These two brands are so under-rated and need more love. And they all have great skin care benefits. Thanks for highlighting them. I am so happy for Kristofer Buckle. I briefly worked with him when he was an 18 year old makeup artist launching Laura Mercier’’s line. I got to meet her also! Doll 10 used to be called Dalton on QVC. I think the universal taupe works because blondes need to darken their brows and brunettes may need to go a bit lighter anyway.

I love the mauve/grey combo. I have some clothing in those colors, but I never would've thought of that pairing on the eyes and it's really pretty!
