@@cyborgpunk6668 I'd say it was the licensing out to publishing companies who then send it to the low-priced Dev-companies who cannot compete in the AAA market but still try to that killed the video games. There were some great ones (Space Marine for example) but then others that were so filled with bugs and errors they were literally unplayable AFTER patches (Necromunda Hive Wars).

So some scenes look just like Astarte's handy work. But the animations feel rushed and not as polished. However the color pallette, 3d effects and the deamons have his signature. Maybe they asked for some help/advice from him.
The man is actually hired by Game's workshop , and his work on Astartes has also been canonized.
you don't know? guy who created Astarte's got hired up by GW, which is why the orignal Astarte's video is no longer on youtube.
Yeah there was definitely some hiccups in this, like when the knight passes his spear from his left hand to right, it looks like theres no weight or physics involved

This is actually a super fun and challenging game. Xcom without the % hit chance, and a bunch of quality of life like action point refunds upon enemy squad wipe or discovery. It has had a great deal of thought and care put into it.
There should be more full length animated 40k movies the lore is insane. Cinematic Universe GO!!!

This could have been a cool "sequel" to Deathwing but no it had to be yet ANOTHER turn based strategy game.

Covid's too slow for Nurgle, the Destroyer Plague and Nurgle's Pox killed millions over the course of the Siege, and that lasted barely a few weeks.
one day GW will make something other than mobile games and turn based rpg's.

@@choerm this guy that makes really big swords, Michael Cthulu made a replica of the Dark Angels Sword, and he made a skit in the end that GW came for him to sue and get the copyrights of the Sword XD.

You can see Astarte's signatures everywhere
Sayma set the bar light-years above everyone else. He's clearly significantly influenced how 40k is animated and it definitely shows here. But you can't claim he's responsible for this particular animation. The movements of the GKs appear more 9th edition cinematic in terms of posing and pacing.
he had nothing to do with this..this was probably done ages before he even made his fan animation + he's working on the animation project directly for GW, not with the studio making the game
Maybe in the Art direction but Color Palette, movement animations, and lighting would say otherwise.

Yeah. In this case, you can get a clue if you google for Chaos Gate. Was an old isometric 40k game, which could be accurately described as classic X-Com but with Space Marines. Who knows how much of the formula they'll stick to though.
