Hey everyone, welcome to my latest documentary! Some of you may recognise this as a re-upload of my film from a few weeks ago. The original upload had an issue I wanted to address, and I’ve also taken the opportunity to make a few enhancements based on your initial feedback. I've shortened the opening sequence, added some amazing new footage from the South Australian Tourism Commission, and included imperial conversions for our friends in the Northern Hemisphere. This documentary takes you through the incredible wildlife of Kangaroo Island, featuring the endangered Australian sea lions, majestic southern right whales, Kangaroo Island kangaroos, the endangered glossy black cockatoos, and more. I’ve also listened to your feedback on music levels. This time, the volume is lower, and I’ve even left some sections without any music, so you can fully appreciate the island’s natural sounds. I hope you enjoy the film! Let me know your thoughts-cheers, Phil
Thanks for watching, its a lot of hard work and at times very frustrating but the rewards are worth it when these magnificent creatures appear. Cheers Phil
Hi Grant, So great to hear you enjoyed it again! As always I really appreciate your kindness and loyalty to our channel. I'm sorry that reloading means no one can see the wonderful comment you made last time. I might be able to cut and paste it below. Thanks for watching. Cheers Phil.
@granb8168's comment from the original upload ------ @grantb8168 • 2 weeks ago As this new, Phil Selmes film began, I found my eyes widening at the natural beauty before me, only to then notice my breathing hitch in small gasps of wonder. Another masterpiece of Australia's landscape in its current-day form. There was still another thirty minutes of crystal clear 4K footage to come, however, I already knew a treat for my ears and eyes and subsequently, also for my mind and heart was soon to follow. As usual, Phil vicariously carried me along a path, which did not disappoint; even taking into account the horrendous nature of the twenty-nineteen fires and the tragic loss of life. I continued to watch in awe, smiling from the knowledge of natures resilience, with the confirmation of species resurgence. Whether diving deep into the surrounding Great Southern Ocean or sailing over Kangaroo Island itself, the animal life was diverse and magnificent, bringing hope for the future. A Sanctuary, Kangaroo Island is a sight to behold, as are the many and varied animals that call it home or a vacation getaway. Kudos must be given to the people residing and working hard to keep this haven alive and thriving. Finally, thank you, Phil, for yet another exceptional documentary film. Brilliant. You've worked your magic again. 😊 🐨🦘🐋🐬🦭 🏆
@@IntotheWildFilms Hey Phil, Sitting on my butt watching the exceptional, high quality content of an artist does not require thanks, although it is always greeted with a smile. For me, it is simply a matter of my love and appreciation of your time, effort and obvious skill, which consistently brings visual and educational pleasure to me, as well as those who also love what you do. Again, Thank you but also, you did not need to concern yourself with the comment. Looking forward to your upcoming Oscar winners. 😉
as always another awesome documentary love the footage of all the trees coming back and so good to seeing it looking good again. love the caves they are so magical.
Hi Manda, yes the recovery is well underway, the undergrowth is extremely thick throughout many parts of the national park now. I'm always amazed at the natural world's resilience to these events. Thanks so much for your ongoing loyalty, i really appreciate it. Stay safe, cheers Phil
Criminally underrated channel! I already loved Australia, but you've managed to increase my appreciation even more for Australia I can't wait to go to Australia!
A great video of a place that I have often visited. I have done bicycle-tours of KI three times in the past 15 years. Riding and camping there for periods of from 9 to 14 days each time it has been a delight. We have loved the quiet roads, the abundant wildlife and awesome coastal views.
Another wonderful production, Phil, I really enjoyed the underwater sequences and the beautiful scenery. I have some idea how much work and creative juice is required for these documentaries. Keep them coming !!
Thanks Tim, add KI to your travel list, if I had the time I could have produced an entire film just on the birdlife, I know you'll love it. Thanks for watching, cheers Phil
